you people don't get it.... the rejects are relative to the profitability of the coin mined.

therefore if the coin mined has a higher profitability than litecoin AFTER the rejects are taken into account then we are mining that coin.

what's so hard to understand? As long as we are more profitable than litecoin or dogecoin by itself then where's the problem?

If your looking to compare this site with other switch mining pools such as wafflepool then do your research, Terk has given figures many times that seem to always be on top of all other pools.

Don't bother buddy.  Easier to just troll the tards rather than explain it.  I'm getting ~7.5% rejects, and that is completely normal for a profit switching coin.  I've done worse for longer periods of time on middlecoin in regards to rejects.

7.5 %? yes

15-25 all the time? not so much

so, reading the thread some are getting a lot of rejects while some are sub 10 %, I'm always around 15 %+, spiking to 20-25 % at time, any way I can reduce this? Reducing the intensity would reduce the kh/s anyways so would that even matter?

I'm from the EU with a ping of 44 ms to the server

I keep getting the "Pool not responding, waiting for work from the pool" error. What is causing this? How can I fix this? Is this a pool error?

the pool seems to be down

Something is extremely iffy with this pool my confirmed exchange balance is 9.02E-6 what does that even mean!

it's probably because you have very low hash rate so instead of showing 0.0000000000009 it shows it that way.

Actually 9.02E-6 would be 0.00000902, but basically what matauc12 means. A really small amount.

It could be extremely small but the strange thing is it should still show up since it starts at 0.0000000000 so the 0.00000902 you are saying it is should show up not that weird mix.

it's just a way of expressing small numbers mathematically instead of using a bunch of decimals, for display purposes.

Hi

Round #   Coin   Length   Mature Blocks   Mature Coins   Immature Blocks   Immature Coins   My Est. Earnings
5628   WDC   00:09:14   12   662.42   0   0   0.000095 BTC

Why so many with 0BTC again ? Gui bug or ?? I have my riq setup only on this pool.

I am having this exact problem. All my rounds older than #5624 have changed to 0BTC. My Est Balance also decreased by nearly 0.04 BTC. I very much hope this is just a display error. HCs admin, thoughts?

http://s27.postimg.org/5uqz7t27z/missing_btc.jpg

Correct me if I am wrong but do the rounds show 0 BTC because they are no longer estimates and have actually been exchanged to BTC and now show in your Actual earnings ?

I believe it's showing 0's in places where you've disabled auto-trade for that coin.  I've got a few coins that I'm holding on to and only the ones I'm saving (not autotrading) are the ones with 0's in them.

The only other time when 0 matters is when the line item is RED.  That indicates that the pool didn't find a block during the time spent...in which case we all lose out.

nope, just a display error, I have almost all zeros on that list most of the time, and I haven't disabled auto-trade for any coin.

anyone who has experience running ubuntu?

Recently had to use an older computer for my cards, running ubuntu 12.10 32bit with 2gb ram and cgminer 3.5.0, using the latest drivers from amd. I have a 6950 and a 6970 but only getting around 500 kh/s with both cards combined, compared to 900-1000 I had when running on a win 7 64bit 8gb ram computer (also 3.5.0).

I don't have any special settings, just the pool information and an intensity of 19, no hardware errors, GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
and GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1 has been set.

export DISPLAY=:0
export GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS=1
export GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT=100

Make sure your running those commands before every cgminer starts
May want to look into setting your thread concurrency on each card to see if that helps

Good thread to help get you running - www.reddit.com/r/litecoinmining/comments/1fb5qs/step_by_step_headless_linux_setup_from_scratch/

Thanks for the help, though I have tried most of that. The undervolting guide is unfortunately only for 7xxx cards, but I solved that by using AMDOverdrive, while at the same time overclocking the card. Thing is they have a lower hashrate overclocked on the ubuntu than they had on the windows machine on stock settings, I tried settings various thread concurrencies and work sizes but it doesn't make a difference. As of now the 6970 is on around 360 kh/s, and the 6950 around 300 kh/s, compared to 505 and 420 while on the windows machine.

Edit: I tried severely undervolt and underclock the 6970 and the hash went up with about 50, thinking there is something fishy with my settings

Firstly let voltages on their defaults (You can lover voltages later when everything will run smoothly) and find best HR peak by setting default clocks on both CORE/RAM and then increasing (or even decreasing) them by 10 MHz on the fly, while CGminer run. Some cards do their best underclocked a bit and some do even better with the same engine / memory clocks.

did pretty much this, worked much better. Strange that I didn't experience these issues when I overclocked in windows.

Oh well, all is well, thanks people.

I'm running BAMT with 1GB memory and 2 x R9-280X cards. No need for ram, only needs the memory on the cards themselves.

I thought so, I just can't for the life of me figure out what's wrong, also finding it ridiculously hard to try different drivers, often making the computer unable to boot at all (need to uninstall it via a terminal during bootup to even get to the desktop again).

I do not have a lot of experience, but I believe (with scrypt) you need to have at least as much system ram as gpu ram.

I thought so too, but I read a lot of posts and guides that stated 2 gb was fine if you ran ubuntu, even when using three cards.

I might be horribly wrong though, anyone that could confirm?

Since last night I quite often gets disconnected and it says failed to connect, after a while it says waiting for work from pool and eventually it resumes, is this normal considering the problems as of late or is something up with my rig?

I also get this as well, hashcow server are not responding, happens on all 10 rigs with various version of cgminer 3.1.0 > 3.7.2

It obviously happens only when pool is switching to another coin, and it gives sense. I am still using CGminer 2.11.4 (best so far - I never mention any change with newer versions, it only get worse) and disconects lasts only few seconds.

not so obvious since it started happening yesterday evening, never before and it lasts for minutes at a time, not seconds
