Amount too small = dust = less than 10,000 satoshi - that was simply hard coded for the payments page.
I'd guessed the *00 and *000 amounts per block were too small to get paid out with the next block mined - will they just sit there until the total is > 10,000 sats (mine has been for a while) or until the next block has my %age/shares totally > 10,000 sats ?
They will sit there until kano finishes writing his new accounting code.
Well, The 5 days of my free 4.7 Th/s giveaway is over, and I am ramped down. So now I will put it back on my account and ramp back up.

Who would have guessed that zombies were related to OS choice.
I have had 2 2-pacs for about 3 months. No amount of playing with voltage would stop one or both from zombie'ing out every 7 hours or so. 2 weeks ago I wiped windows 10 from my machine and installed ubuntu. The first thing I did was git and build cgminer and start them back up. They have been running for 11 days now without a stop. I never would have guessed.
... I was learning linux on slackware back then. Built and installed bitcoin. Found a block on my cpu after a few days. Thought well, that was cute, and promptly erased it (and the wallet) and installed something else. It wasnt until it hit 9K that i realized what I had done and wished that I still had it.
can you not use software to get the files back? Unless u zeroed the hdd it might be possible I have used software to get important files off failed hdds
A few things - That's a long time ago - just still having the HDD is the real question. - If it's been in use for a while, or all this time, it's unlikely to not have been written over by windows.
- However, you just need to find the private key, not the whole wallet contents.
It is all long long gone. This was in 2009, And on the small hard drive I had, I think it was a 2 gig. I wrote over stuff so often building this and that. I am sure it was long gone before the physical drive was. To the lost coin, oh well, it was part of the tuition I paid for learning linux/unix scripting and C.
As a miner in a pool that shares transaction fees, is anyone else missing the days (not that long ago) of the 14+ BTC block rewards? Although as a user of BTC the low fees are great and probably better for the currency in the long run.
Those were the good old days where it really didn't matter where you mined (as long as the pool paid out the transaction fees). Those 18-24 BTC blocks were great!
imagine the first couple years where it was 50BTC mining with CPU / GPU cards. I'll bet those miners wish they would have made a few changes to their investment strategy! And many likely did amazingly well too.
Some of us don't have to imagine those days. Yes, I would make a change to my investment strategy over then...I would not have kept my earnings from those 50BTC blocks in Mt. Gox's wallet.
Mine on.

Minergain - I'm currently running about 100 S9s, with 10 more coming online Friday morning and 11 Avalons on order. I recently switched from Slushpool to Kano due the fee difference (and discovered a much nicer user community as a bonus). For me, its just business - I will make more at Kano than any place else I've found at an acceptable variance. Kano's example was 7 BTC difference, but does it really matter if its 7 BTC, $5000, or $1000 over a year? Its still more.
I started at slush too and switched here to get a bigger piece of the pie with my single S9. When I left slush in August it was around 250 Ph and Kano was around 40. Amazing how that has changed in scale. Yes, more money is always nice to have - and if we get really lucky, we all get to actually take part in a nice bonus. Plus I have not found a better community of crypto people anywhere (and super willing to help everyone learn). Welcome to Kano and Mine ON!
Same here. I have been a small fish here and now down to a single s7 and waiting to see the 841 before I buy anything. I used this pool as failover and did so for a long time. I built alot of dust, but it was nice dust. So I eventually read this forum a few hundred pages of it anyway, and moved over. Just in time for the 600% block. It was hard. lol. I am glad I stayed. Payouts have been better than elsewhere, and block times vs share per block have proven so much better that there is no going back. Even as a small fish, and the first 600% block, I make alot more money here. The 900% block would have been a killer, but I wish I had been here since then. Now looking at the 841 on blokforge and wondering if they will become a stock item after Apr 15. I really dont want to buy anymore bitmain.
I'm not asking about the 841...I just want to know if anyone has ordered anything from them. Are they reliable/reputable?
Blockforge DOES have an official thread ya know... That said, yes. They are a pleasure to work with. I've gotten several A741 & A821 miners, 5 controllers and 5 PSU's from them. From time to time they also sell the s9's at a very modest markup vs eBay and such.
Thank you. They say MAYBE April on 841's. It will mean maybe having to ramp up again by not buying S9's now, but it would be worth it.
I would like to get 3 or 4 of the avalon 841's. Who is the authorized distributor who sells them in the us?
they are not the US but www.cryptouniverse.at may be an option too as they ship to the US, I believe rifleman74 picked up his 821s there and may have good things to say
I did pick them up from there, but you can save on shipping/customs if you order from the USA. The issues I had with the order were out of CU's hands as it was a GLS/FedEx issue.
Noob here with 15TH. Do you think my payouts would be similar to other pools? I like to support the smaller pools but havent dipped into your yet.
Go back and read at least the last 4 pages. Understand how it works. Yes you will make more, but if you are into short term and jumping ship for elsewhere, you will lose.
