It seems as if stashcoin crashes too easily.  It looks like it's using a very old fork of the Bitcoin source.

This is what happens when you call an un-supported/invalid RPC method:

Code:
terminate called after throwing an instance of 'std::vector >, std::allocator > > >'

Or when you call submitblock incorrectly:

Code:
terminate called after throwing an instance of 'std::ios_base::failure'
what():  CDataStream::read() : end of data

Code:
terminate called after throwing an instance of 'std::runtime_error'
  what():  submitblock [optional-params-obj]
[optional-params-obj] parameter is currently ignored.
Attempts to submit new block to network.
See https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/BIP_0022 for full specification.

You are correct, it's forked from bitcoin 8.5. I'm updating StashCoin to Bitcoin 9.0.0, I just have been busy with my offline life.

Hello, stashcoin dev here. I can take a look at the wallet and see what can be done, always looking for new things to learn. That is if no one decides to do anything about it.

ETA on hard fork?

It will be this weekend most likely, I'm still thinking of what will change, there's a unique opportunity here.

Unique indeed! If you're open to suggestions, I really like the idea of a built in cold storage printer with QR code with the wallet, or maybe a separate app? Will allow people to print their own STA and hand them out or stash them away!

Or did you mean changes to the coin specs?

Hey Seefude, I've been looking into this right here https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ru.valle.btc

As far as changes to the coin,I was planning on temporarily disabling KGW and let the difficulty drop then rise as if it were a new coin. Im not sure on that yet, the block rewards would stay the same though.

Hey! Something like that would be awesome! It doesn't look like any currency, but it doesn't really have to I guess.

If we are relaunching, should use it as an opportunity to get as many people as possible. That way we can be the whales =P

I've updated the base source from 8.6 but I don't think I'll modify difficulty much ,  I don't want early miners to feel like they wasted time or have people not mine because difficulty could drop again in the future.

anybody?this coin is dead already?

It's far from dead, what happened is the initial pump and dump traffic has left.

I'm going to keep working on it because its my project.

Regardless of how popular it is.

stashdev...we need to make somenthing for this coin.
today only 1.2 T/s.

I'm planning a hard fork and mandatory update with difficulty readjustment to get some mining power like at launch. Basically StashCoin we'll feel like a new coin before kgw kicks in again in the future.

ya, im stashing my coins away for a year

I was thinking of re branding to be more inline with our coins name. My initial goal was to have people join in creating things with StashCoin, it still is and will be but I was a bit blindsided by how much image a coin has to project. A new approach would to acquire "brain power" through a unique idea or brand. Stashing away your stashcoins sounds like an excellent start to creating a sense of value to the coin. The logo is still inline with the name as  I did make it so it looks like a vault you have to twist for the star to align, as if the StashCoin sign is stashed away in a vault.

Could start with a cold storage wallet.  If you really wanna get crazy... talk to a mint and have a physical coin made

The cold storage wallet would be a perfect addition, i think we are not at the scope to be minting physical coins lol.

voting on mintpal is omost useless there are so many coins on that list it's stupid and not fair Sad*

I think the voting systems are being gamed and the exchange owners don't care because its money in their pocket either way.

The reason we were able to get into comkort is because its a relatively new and unknown exchange market.

We need to focus on growing the coin, not selling it.

The "official" (or whatever it is) StashCoin pool is holding around 1800 STA that I have mined. After trying to set a payout address, I receive no unlock email multiple times. Also, none of my emails have been replied to.

I myself manage that pool and haven't recieved any email, im going look into it, but in the meantime, i can manually pay out if you give me your address.

If you want to join #stashcoin on freenode irc we can resolve the issue immediately .

I've just unlocked your account, please try to withdraw again. I'm unsure what happened, I'm sorry.

If you could do a manual payout that would be great. Send it to JZVVEJs2gxg8qPaUDA8iP7U6hM3ef6vLiJ, keep 300 STA as a donation to StashCoin for your very prompt and professional reply  Smiley

Thanks for understanding and the donation! Smiley you should have you pyout in the next minute or two.
