I don't mind the hat, or the logo, however TiPScoin could be a better coin, honestly. However that's not the point. The point is by doing some minor changes we could shift the interest back to TiPS, unless the guys holding Billions start selling. I am actual curious, who is holding all the tips, and why don't they invest in their coin!

The only reason doge became so popular is that few early miners-buyers started the heavy tipping. Irrelevant is that the price pump proved unhealthy and unrealistic...

It's about time we are on Coinwarz! This could give us a good advertisement.

About advertisement, can we do something about that? What about a donation address to that cause? Google or even reddit ads could benefit fedoracoin!

How did you install the wallet? We are talking about windows wallet, right?
If I load the old wallet version (0.60) it starts the sync to the network but will stop @ 9 hours remaining to sync and then just sits there....

All those people bullshitting about this coin while "they dumped on 40 litoshi" are on some kind of crusade? If you have anything to say, bad or good, make a post on reddit. And no I don't have many posts since I don't use this forum.

I like fedora coin and support it, even though I only have a few. Some of you have none, but keep posting garbage again and again. Go buy some 70% premined crap and leave us at peace

This is just the lull period, which every coin tends to have.
This will help with the wide distribution as well.

Patience is the key  Wink

I want to think the same! For sure, I do believe that this coin is terrible undervalued.
Unfortunately, what drives coins market right now is speculation of a huge profit, not features.

bombs dropped like it was rain: they sold me more at 7 litoshi. I believe 200B coins are distributed to no more than 50 people.

Anyone rich enough could manipulate tips market easily. From 11 to 8 is 30+% in price.
BTW, in cryptsy logs, I see someone sold 30ltc at 8.

Is it possible to get an exchange to trade Tips in the 1000? So we could be a 1k tips/btc pair.

this is actually a good idea.

Shall I contact cryptsy (or any major middleman) about that? They could be interested in such a thing, maybe..  And how? Anyone with such experience?

we can't get a specific exchange to do that, the price is determined by the free market. But hopefully we'll reach that point through increased demand for the coin through having a larger community, and markets where TiPS are used to exchange value. So if you have a little time and energy please join us and help in whatever way you can to achieve that goal!

I do what I can; I mine with my 1 MH/s for quite a while!

We don't distort the market, if a market allows trading in kTips/btc. I think this coin has lots of potential, it's only drawback is the ltc pairing. Even so we have some volume, imagine what happens if tips becomes available to the btc crowd.

Why would you say that ? The net Hashrate is only at 700 MH/s  Huh

Again we are target of those unholy multipools... I feel a little less euphoric

We were at top profitable coin in multipool.us . We are not a target yet, but I think soon (in few hours) we will be.
Tbh, I don't mind the multipool, they help maintain order from chaotic pumps and dumps, but I am less euphoric as a miner. Higher diff = less tips for me Grin

Jokes aside, it's true that not all Greeks have internet access, but that's true only for older people who are not interested in such stuff.
However, adsl lines are everywhere right now, with vdsl and fiber incoming. And I find free wifi access everywhere I go... Even in gas stations.

I love this coin, i can see the potential, its targeted at a country which has had the biggest economical problems in this world. Greece is probably the only country who really needs this right now, Greece is the perfect place for greececoin because people want something different and new, something which is given to them free like greececoins will bring them hope and even if the dev isnt greek, it makes it even better because hes trying to help.

Greececoin can really prove what crypto currency is all about by helping a nation. Im backing the dev and the coin 100% and will offer my assistance in anyway i can to help promote this.

Greececoin is the beginning of rebuilding the mighty Greece

You believe that a 0.5$ or even 5$ or 500$ (!) coin will help my country? You truly believe that?

What does this coin offer that other coins don't have. It's name? Maybe I should launch EλληνικόNόμισμα (GreekCoin in greek) and it would be more successful.

Distribute the coin to the Greeks by airdrops... Ok, keep buying suckers, make some guy very happy. His next job, ItalyCoin will be more believable

PS. I am Greek

this coin needs a hardfork and the random block reward must be eliminated.

multipools are mining only the profitable blocks.

This is how it goes, we do not need another fork, we need to get more miners on the coin so that are base hashrate will hold the difficulty higher then the point at which the multipools jump in.

Spread the word and get more dedicated miners.

What incentive to miners have to point rigs to our coin?  I get the feeling that most people believe that the coin is near death.  Value has dropped and developers abandon the community.  Please tell us the incentive for us to do this?  A promise that things are going to be better.  A new website, and new btctalk leader, and a new sub reddit.  Who is leading marketing?  If someone is leading marketing, what is the plan?  How are these resources going to be utilized?  People don't want to hope that Bitcoin is going to rise due to a piece of trending data.  We want action in the name of our coin.  So I ask again, why should miners dedicate there rigs to our coin?

For a few reasons.

1. Active development. - Just because you do not see the work being done doesn't mean it isn't. For example the multi-user wallet, the payment processing system, the coin mixer.

2. The payment processor itself is something different. It allows people to put a price in TIPS. This is exactly what a cryptocurrency needs to sustain a real value instead of an exchange value.

2. Saying most people think the coin is near death is very narrow minded. Yes there are people that think that but there is a large amount of people still actively mining and purchasing the coin.

3. I will give you marketing because at the time it is almost non existant. BUT, there is nothing stopping other people from marketing the coin, it is a community and we all have to do our part to spread the word of TIPS Fedoracoin. Also it took some time for them to find another web developer to ensure the rebrand goes smoothly. These things have been posted by users, myself for one, and spoke about in the IRC.

4. The price drop. Every single coin has done this, and if not in the past week or two then another time in it's lifetime. It is very shortsighted to look at such a drop as a dead coin, especially when their are so many actually dead coins out there. The prices of these cryptocurrencies at times seem extremely arbitrary and that is because there is a ton of manipulation. The greatest coin out there with all the features in the world can suffer extreme variations in price by simple pumps and dumps. Bitcoin, the king of the coins as they say still suffers huge manipulation in terms of price and the market cap is massive.

"What incentive to miners have to point rigs to our coin?"

What incentive did the early Bitcoin and Litecoin miners have to mine the coin and spend money on electricity?
The hope that the technology and ideals behind the crypto-coins would catch on and eventually force a change in the existing monetary system because of the useful nature of the crypto-coin.

People, if you want my tip, have patience with this coin. One of the problems is that it is traded in ltc right now. I believe this is one of the problems of this coin. In a few days/weeks/months if it manages to rise in price and get paired with btc, it will significantly gain user/trader-base. Thought personally, I don't plan to sell my few tips even if they rise to 100 by the end of the day.

Hello ppl first post here! What about TiPS in github. It could be cool to tip there! I just added my tips address in a script of mine:
https://github.com/stblackbird/nasa-apod-background/

Is there a wallet out there with graphs in transactions history? To display coins/day for an address? Or to return stats in xml/yaml/json format?
I don't see anywhere such features
