Re: Expensive and Cheap coins

Should I invest my money on a lot of cheap alt coins like for example, verge/digibyte, buying 1000 to 2000 pieces of them, or should I buy a couple of big coins, 2 to 5 pieces of for example litecoin/eth.

What do you guys suggest?
If you want to make more income (x2, x5, x10 your balance Cheesy ) the best way is buying cheap alt coins but the more income the more risk. Cheap altcoins can become trash coins in exchange sites and have tiny community so the time to get income maybe too long.

So should I instantly take it when I get income? Or should I wait alittle bit more when selling, since you said it's risky to trade alt coins, that it's very volatile.

Also is it okay to buy like 0.25 or 0.50 of a coin, like ETH or LTC?
Or is it more profitable if I buy 1 piece.

I kinda started on a small investment like, I invested 20 dollars into btc and started trading, now I'm at 180 dollars.
So if I got alittle bit up, I should invest it on a bigger coin? Like eth,ltc and all that other coins?

You could probably send it to a wallet that allows you to convert it to dollars and then cash it out, we have coins.ph here in the philippines which allows us to just convert it instantly and even send it directly to our bank accounts.

I'm currently holding a couple of verge coins, some predict that it's price would reach about 1$ at 2018.
they are currently $0.0086, very cheap.

That pretty much depends upon BTC price since you are paying price in satoshis (BTC decimal places).

Also, if you are dealing in say $1k worth of bitcoin $2-3 fees won't hurt much.

Alright, but should I place them in a wallet like exodus or should I place them in bittrex? I mean I'll be holding them for a pretty short time, like 3 or 4 months. Also, can you suggest a trusted and efficient btc or alt coin wallets for mobile? I was thinking of coinomi, something I can store alt coins at.

I understand the risk and I'm willing to take it, concerning the transfer fees, will I lose a lot of my money when I transfer my BTC to another wallet, or will that depend on how much BTC cost at the moment?

Holding for a couple of months.

I was thinking of buying some coins, like litecoin or etherium and holding them for a couple of months since I won't be needing the money that'll be getting.
Is this a good idea? I was thinking of buying litecoin since it's all that I can afford, 2 pieces to be exact and I'll be holding them for 3 to 4 months till I get enough money to buy whatever it is I need to buy, I wanted to hold them just incase the coin increases it's value. Also should I hold it on trading account like bittrex, should I hold them in a wallet like exodus or should I place them in a wallet where I can instantly convert coins into money.

Naexperience ko na rin mag explain sa mga taong gustong matuto e, pero ang ginagawa ko most of the time pinapanuod ko sila ng videos from youtube, mostly explainer videos para lalo nila magets, from what bitcoin is to mining, and trading.

Depende nalang kung willing silang matuto talaga, most of the time yung mga sinasabihan ko di nanunuod ee. Well siguro depende na rin sa tao kung gusto nilang matuto or hindi.

Re: Wallets with low transfer fees

Just so you know, fees are the same in every waller in the market. The difference is that some wallets won't let you customize your fees and other will recommend you a fee that is higher than the one required. This means that the best option is to choose a wallet that lets you have full control over your fees.

The best options are: Electrum for Bitcoin, and MyEtherWallet for Ethereum. Both let you choose your fee before sending a transaction and have full access over your private keys. Just remember to save your Electrum seed and your MEW wallet file/private key to avoid losing your funds in the future.

[2] https://www.myetherwallet.com/

Alright thanks, I'm using EXODUS and Mycelium at the moment, I'm kind of curious at mycelium where you're given a choice to pick a low priority transfer or high priority, where you'd choose how many sats/kb you'll be getting. I'm thinking if I'd choose the lower one will that decrease my transfer fee?

Buying and Holding BTC/LTC/ETH
by
steven915
on 13/10/2017, 16:28:18 UTC
Hello, I wanted to ask if I should just buy BTC/LTC/ETH right away when I get the money, or should I wait a couple of weeks to see if their prices go down?

I recently started bitcoining, and I wanted to get more bitcoin by waiting for it to go down, since it did go down a lot last month, I thought it would do it again, but it didn't instead it went up.

So, I wanted to ask if I should just buy the coins when I get the money or should I wait for a couple of weeks or so just to see if their prices would go down?

Where can I store my altcoins? I was thinking of buying and trading some altcoins, but can I just store them in like for example bittrex? Or should I download the altcoins individual wallet?

It's tough, because there isn't one wallet that accommodates all currencies. I'm sure there will be someday, but not today.

What you can do is evaluate the wallets that do exist and see which may store all the currencies you own or at least narrow down the options.

Here's a Wallet Comparison site that also displays the currencies supported for each wallet.

Good luck to you!

Hey, thanks for the link! I'll try out Exodus cause it looks promising and coinomi. But I'll probably use the individual wallets given by each coin when I have to like hold onto a coin for a long period of time.

Thanks guy! Smiley

Also how does printing private keys work? Does individual btc/alt coin wallets give you private keys? And what's the purpose of private keys and why should I print them?
