Re: Bitcoin Gold (BTG)

Why do they even need this premine hash calculation. They could have added a line in the code that some their public key gets extra 100k BTG. What is the point of mining at difficulty 1.

There are ton's of solo miners already ready to go, scammy/sammy-007 has been selling proxy's for weeks, a lot of people are trying to pry into the scam, all along BTG has said they will not allow 'solo mining' they want all mining directed through their scam pool 'POOL.GOLD'

Given the fact that the main-net release has no seed-nodes in chainparam.h, these people have want to make sure that only insiders are mining first week, and a difficulty of 'one' means you can mine with an iPhone Smiley

well, just run addnode "78.193.221.106:8338" add
to connect to mainnet.

But mining yourself is disabled in the code anyway.

Re: Bitcoin price overvalued? Price Today: $1,827

Is it possible that whales are pumping the price right now to keep it high and they will sell at some point?

It's not whales. Whales can't pump the price up. It's the HODLers. If everybody just HODLed the price would go to infinity.

If you use KDE desktop environment on GNU/Linux then you might be interested in: http://kde-apps.org/content/show.php?content=142344.

This is a small plasmoid to monitor the status of your accounts in bitcoin pools (deepbit, BTCguild, mining.bitcoins.cz and BTCmine are supported).
