I'm sure they are more interested in the prod dev than marketing. The idea is indeed cool. Folloing them on socials- although slowly, the number of partnerships get bigger. The volaitlity will be up with the growth of the project so don't think it has no potential)

Crypto adoption is have been slow in recent years and many shops are still not aware that there some kind of virtual currency in the online world that can be use in any kind of transactions. This year might be different because the market is bullish due to continues climb of bitcoin and some altcoins. During this uptrend of bitcoin, many merchants and investors might get interested in the cryptocurrencies and the bussiness people might try to use bitcoin as a payment in buying their goods.
Exactly, today there are still few shops that are using crypto out there. And these are IT shops for the most part. Speaking about bitcoins, I think it's risky to use them as a payment method.Re: Crypto as a payment method for goods: what to expect in 2019
Agree, some still don't use their bank accounts not to mention cryptocurrencies like BTC or ETH 
Luckily, it doesn't mean all those bitcoin ATMs, or a cup of coffee bought for some BTC is waste of time. This is gradually getting more popular among a broad audience. This process is rather slow though.
