I know its a bit of topic, but you guys in kano pool Are the Best to answer. is it worth it to buy s7 from bitmain now the Price is so low? I Got free electricity, but the halving is scaring me
Well, with free electricity I would not think twice and the halfing I would not care in that case. This scares only those having to pay mucho $$$ for electricity
i did this on my Avalon6 controller without problems using the "--suggest-diff" command on the cgminer "more options" field available in the Avalon6 controller interface.
however i got a few Antminer s7, s4 and s5 that do not offer any field to enter any extra cgminer commands, anybody know how do i set the stratum difficulty manually on Antminers?
thanks in advance for any information
You can set it directly on the pool for each worker, under "Worker-> Management"
helo Kano, i was start mining with antminer s7 2days ago, and i got great BTC than any pool, but i need your suggest about worker management , How much minimum diff should i set ? for best setting in this pool Thanks
Leave it for the pool to set. Ck did a post about this. It doesn't make you more money or anything and if you set it too low the pool will automatically set it to the pool min anyway.
but i was already setup 3k diff can i set to default again?
Set to 0 (zero) and the pool will handle it automatically. For S7, there is no need at all to set it manually.
my gain was 0.031 / 0.032 btc now it dropped to 0.025btc it's normal?
Higher pool hash rate = faster block finds = more payouts to be divided by more user hash = lower payouts when your hash rate has not grown at the same percentage like the pool.
So at the end, it does not really matter. The nice thing about the higher pool hash rate is the lower variance (means more regular from a time perspective) in payouts for the individual contributor.
To sum up: Higher pool hash rate = more and more regular but smaller payouts
Was found based on work only seconds after the previous block so there weren't many transactions around but the highest priority transactions pending still got included. This would have been a completely empty block if found by numerous other pools.
I can't believe I have not gotten a text for a block found on my phone for 40 hours. A few days ago it would not stop. Looking forward to the notification.
Hi, newb here, How do setup the text notification?
Every cellphone carrier has an email address associated with your cellphone number. Zach has a list Just put that in as your second email notification.
Well, some require that you have your Internet connection same as you mobile contract, otherwise it wont work...

Confirmed, DE server works perfect. Changed all except 1 miner from the main to the DE server yesterday, no issues, same hashrate.

What actually are you mining with and what's your username - (PM me if you want) There's only a few users on the SG server that make up the ~135TH on there.
Also if you swap to the main pool stratum.kano.is does that make any difference?
My userID is MiningAsia. Running Knc Neptune (only 2 cubes out of 5, cgminer 4.9.1). Running windows so can't test those commands. Now mining at main pool (stratum.kano.is), everything running normal.
