I'm pretty excited to see how the opening ceremony is. I bet its very colorful and like carnivale with dancers and good music. Definitely should be better than
Russia.

every opening is better then last  one always is and always will be

I wouldn't compare any Winter Olympics to the Summer ones.
All Summer ones are so much better, from the opening ceremony...

Big deal having bought  Z. Ibrahimovic for the Manchester United! in addition to being a top player, it brings a lot of money with merchandising!

Few season ago they made huge profit from selling di maria's shirt as well, it seems that manchester united is making alot of money from every player that they signed. It doesnt really matter about how pricey as long as they could milk their name for the merchandise, if this is so they should just buy every top star out there

True that. Not a lot of clubs can do that.

I remember the Galacticos era and R.Madrid milked so much money (but obviously not even close to today's numbers) - Zidane, Beckham, Figo, Ronaldo, Samuel, ...

If MU sign Pogba, we can except the same crazy sales numbers

i can easily name 10-15 or even 20 players who deserve a contract like that more than him
and nowadays because of all social media, tmz, etc. we (general public) also know if something bad happens off the court.

The media makes alot of hype for certain player and that makes them overrated although that they have only a decent performance. This is one way of getting popularity and get yourself a great contract otherwise you wont really get it just by playing great on the court everytime ( wait , you can be good on the court ALL the time though )

Bold - what are you talking about? somebody who is consistent and plays well or great will ALWAYS earned a good/decent contract no matter if he is popular off the court or not.
Duncan is your perfect example - there were never stories about Duncan off the court, he was probably the most boring person for the media to talk to, BUT he performed on the court and is the greatest PF ever!

Conley
- never been an All Star
- averaged of 15.3 points, 6.1 assists and 2.9 rebounds per game  (is that WORTH THE BIGGEST CONTRACT EVER?!)
- and he will never be able to carry the team in the playoffs. EVER! - meaning - Conley cannot beat you alone, simply cannot - i.e. Curry can, Lillard can

Rubio is still young and he is a good point guard and good in defense due to his length that lacks in other point guard. Well, in order for us not to make a lot of argument here about his capability let us just watch him in the coming regular season.

The thing is scoring is what will make you a star in this league, and that's something Rubio has been lacking these past few seasons.
For the eyes of the many you will be a popular if you are a good scorer but when it comes to real basketball every placer has its unique role and in order for a team to progress you should stick to your role throughout the game. Rubio is another good example of a point guard who manage to make good plays down the stretch, if he is not good then he should be out of the team already.

Look at mike conley, this guy is underrated by makes history because of the contract he recently signed with the memphis.

That guy is way overpriced IMO. They could have gotten a few younger players to add to their squad. Their core is getting older season by season.

Yeah his contact is a bit of a joke. But also it (contract) got impacted by increased salary cap as well.
Can't blame them because they know better than us, we are just watching him in the television but the organization of memphis know conley on and off the court.

hmm you could look at it that way...BUT contracts are deserved on the court, correct? i can easily name 10-15 or even 20 players who deserve a contract like that more than him

Everything Vardy accomplished last season was tremendous but my opinion is (<- key word) is that Costa is on a different level than Vardy. I just don't rate Vardy.

Some people favour costa over vardy however I do think that costa is on a lower level than vardy. The problem is with his arrogant attitude on the field, he likes to pick up a fight and started to piss people off, this kind of attitude is suck even when he has a brilliant performance so it is a waste of talent imo

I think you might have misunderstood me when i said that "costa is on a different level than vardy" i meant vardy shouldn't be compared to costa.
even he has a bad attitude sometimes, costa is world class striker. I don't think vardy is.

World class striker? Id rather have him as a lucky striker instead of a world class striker. So far he hasnt made any quite outstanding performance, not in league game and not in international games. His attitude has been killing his performance, just like what balotelli did to his own career and costa is now on the same path as him

He led A.Madrid with 27 goals when they won the La Liga.
He led AM with a goal when they won Copa Del Rey
He scored the final goal in 2014 as Atlético won 3–1 at Stamford Bridge and advanced to the final of the competition for the first time since 1974

Just because he had a bad season at Chelsea doesn't take anything away from the guy.

Zlatan is still a "bad boy" and does crazy shit but he performs, (and yes Zlatan did had some bad seasons as well - i.e. Barca)

Any Timberwolves fan out there? I think the Wolves will have an awesome season ahead. A young talented core that can easily defeat any team with Coach Thibs on the sidelines. I hope that no injuries will happen to the starting players. Also with the addition of Rush, Hill, and Aldrich we will have a deep bench and a 3 pt shooter.

I wouldn't say I am Timbs fan but I do watch them as much as I can mostly because Rubio (maybe I am being subjective a bit haha)

They do have a very talented team and finally they have a good coach.

Rubio is fun to watch and all but. He must improves his shooting as any point guard needs not only to be a floor general and a good passer. But must be good at shooting too. I hope for the best of him next season

I think this is the last year for Ricky Rubio in the Timberwolves jersey. He's just getting older and older every year but He's not improving he's game to the next level. He will in a different jersey in the NBA or in Eupope.

I agree that. Even he was playing in barcelona he couldnt shot and in nba he can not shot good to. I think only having ability about passing organisation is not enough for a good guard. Also he has to make good shots.

Funny thing that he is a better 3P shooter than i.e. Rondo or T.Evans... but hey 3P percentage doesn't matter right?

So what if he is taking less shots than other guards. He is a different PG than other ones who are more scorers than organizers aka passers.

Atletico Madrid has very near to get Diego Costa and they has been bid £40 million and they wish in the next few days the player will joined with them
Manchester United interested to buy Fabinho from AS Monaco and will considering to buy them soon

Thats only if they get to sign lukaku otherwise they wont be releasing diego costa. They have a tight schedule ahead and conte has a goal to bring back chelsea to the top 4 so if they are going to release diego costa soon, they need to make sure that they have another striker for replacement and that is lukaku

they (chelsea) better make sure they have a done deal with another striker (i.e. Lukaku) before releasing costa. otherwise they're screwed. not a lot of options left on the market

Obviously but there are still vardy available however he has stated his interest to remain with leicester instead of moving out. Another striker that is worth to consider would be griezman, technically he is not a striker but he is a beast and could be used as a striker when there is no other option available

Everything Vardy accomplished last season was tremendous but my opinion is (<- key word) is that Costa is on a different level than Vardy. I just don't rate Vardy.
Yeah there were some rumors about Arsenal trying to sign him, but if he was that good a major club would have already signed him.
I mean just check - Arsenal offering a lot of money for Lacazette, Napoli for Icardi, Juve already signed Higuan, MU signed Zlatan, and so on.

I agree with your statement. And not to make this about politics or anything, but he is not as hyped or targeted by big teams because he is european and not as flashy. He is one of the best passer in NBA at the moment.
UNFORTUNATELY the Timberwolves suck, simply as that.
I agree about Rubio. But the Timberwolves does not suck. It is proven when they defeated the Golden State Warriors even though they are still a raw team. I mean They are really a goo team with Coach Thibs in the sideline.

So what if they defeated GSW? When the Bulls had 72-10 season they lost to the Clippers and Heat (R.Chapman hitting 3724 threes that game)

When was the last time MT made the playoffs? exactly. proves my point

AC Milan are keen to take Manchester United winger Adnan Januzaj on loan with a view to a permanent move in 12 months time.

Januzaj needs to settle down in a club that could expand his ability and it is no ac milan and neither is manchester united because he is not getting any spot there as well. Leaving for ac milan will only make his career worse, he needs to settle down in another premier league if he eants to flourish his ability

Yeah that's very true, I see that the januzaj need a club that can extend and sharpen its ability. I see januzaj is much better to remain settled in milan, because since the beginning of januzaj career experience and getting a good enough time in AC milan

I think he would get enough playing in Milan. Also, I believe the only reason why Mou wouldn't give me much chances is because Mou needs to win immediately.

That would not be case all the time because I am pretty sure that Rubio is a better shooter that rondo but rondo got a championship with Celtics. I think it is just a matter of teamwork and if they can work on with that, this team would be a threat in the west.

PSG want to sign Real Madrid's attacker Jese Rodreguez according to the Spanish newspaper ( Marca ), the 23 years old striker is on the radar of many clubs in the premier league , but PSG are in pole position at the moment .Jese participated in 14 match with Real Madrid and managed to score 13 goals in them , he is good striker , but he want to move from Real Madrid because he want to play for more time .
If he want to get more chance to play, then PSG is not suitable for him. They already have Pastore, Lucas Moura, and Di Maria there. Instead of PSG, its better for him to stay in Real Madrid. Since Real Madrid don't sign any new player yet, so I hope Jese stay.
Pastore is getting old and Lucas Moura is a midfielder and Rodriguez is a more of offensive player as he can play in winger or a n10 or even a striker so he can take a spot in PSG and i heard they are looking to spend more as they wont to progress more in the championsleague

what are you talking about? Pastore just turned 27! He is a very good player.
Unfortunately for him Argentina (and PSG) was always loaded with great attacking players so he didn't play much for Argentina.

Bastian Schweinsteiger and Adnan Januzaj are two players that could be moving on.

Paris Saint-Germain have been linked to Schweinsteiger. As Mourinho sad that they not welcome any more and in need to find a new club

Also Bastian retired from the national team. Such an amazing player, too bad injuries were a big part of his time in Manchester.
