Dang it, I hope fart is wrong on this. It is going down but I don't think it will go down to 240, but who know.

Why is it a "pool"? Shouldn't it be a "Dark Exchange"?

There is not going to be another bubble without China. Ever since the Chinese communist government put a kibosh on their banks' ability to freely exchange bitcoin, the value of bitcoin has been declining precipitously. We've lost over 80% since December'2013. The Chinese bitcoiners have been dumping their bitcoins over the last year and half. Without China, there's no "To Da Moon" phase anymore. We will be bouncing between $200 to $300 for a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO time.

Re: POLL:How likely do you think it is we see double digits in 2015?
by

I believe there's 100% chance that we will see double digits within 8 months. Bitcoin prices have been steadily and consistently declining for over 16 months. And it will continue the trajectory for the next 8 months or so, without a major breakthroughs like the Winklevoss ETF. With or without the ETF, the next halving will have an effect on the price. By the end of 2016, we will see the btc price rise to $5000. However, there's still more blood ahead in the short to medium time frame.

Re: Reality is sinking in... We may not see $1200 again. Not in 10(?) years.
by

As long as the top 1% hold 99.999% of the bitcoins in existence, we will never see $1200. When only the elites, the early adopters and whales, hold the coins, there is no utility to the coins. Just let the coins die. Bitcoin has become millionaire's toy. Even now, they are manipulating the prices, taking coins from the ignorant masses is just like taking candy from a baby.

It's not so much what whales know already, it's what almost everyone knows now. The secret is out that bitcoin is a perpetually declining asset. I can't believe it has taken this long for everyone to realize this simple fact. Short it and short it big. You can't lose.

Re: And here we go in the red zone again. BTC under $220 .WTF s going on?
by
stonerider
on 15/04/2015, 04:33:24 UTC
What's going on is that there's no utility to bitcoins anymore. Why? Because the drug buyers and sellers have stopped using bitcoins. Not because there's no online market, but because they cannot afford to lose their money to scammers. A sizeable number of bitcoin users have simply disappeared. Another segment of users have found they can't get mining hardware; either the mining gears are too expensive or they are waiting for the next gen. In the meantime, miners are dumping at least 3000 coins every day, that's over 80% of mined bitcoins being sold on the exchanges every f*cking day.

This.

Chinese are selling btc like crazy so they can buy stocks. It is the reverse of the 2013 bubble that saw Chinese driving up btc price to 1200. We are looking at btc going down to 120 in the next following days.

I sold at 650 last year. Problem is I had bought at 700. Upshot is it would be 220 today. I was able to minimize my loss. Thank god I'm not a HODL'er.

Bitcoin is a permanently inflating commodity. The longer you hold it, the less valuable it comes.

There's no guarantee that btc price will go up in the next 10 years. In fact, it can go down to pennies. Remember, what goes up, must come down.

Thanks for the correction!

A slight case of dyslexia was kicking in, when I typed in the numbers.

The University will notice that you are sucking down a large amount of electricity. They will come down hard on you. Your mining career will end well before you experience ROI. They may even press criminal charges against you as well. If you don't think so, go ahead, no skin off my teeth.

Get involved as soon as you can! Sell your stuff, borrow from friends and relatives, get a loan, do anything right now. Just hang on to your shirts, nobody likes to see men with hair on their back walking around shirt-less.
