Yes, but you can set overclocking profiles that only enable when certain applications or games are launched. So instead of making it overclock when you launch a game, you can have it under clock when you launch you miner. But yeah I gotta try that Phoenix miner if it has options like that....

Okay, good. Well you CAN use an overclocking program to underclock it though. This would lower the heat and the hash rate. You could also just add some better cooling...

If you don't want to have to download the blockchain all the time (or at all), check out Electrum. I first tried it about a week ago and haven't used another wallet since!
