Contacting The MadHatter about Bitcoin4Cash trades

Hi, sorry for contacting you here, but your website has a "click here to email me" text blurb with no corresponding email, and PMs are blocked for you...

I placed a trade a while back for US$200 of bitcoins - 067-501. This has been paid (thank you very much!), but unfortunately it was paid on 29th July into a MyBitcoin account, which was the same day that MyBitcoin failed miserably (and I can't even get my 49% back because my password isn't being accepted by the claim form), so I now can't access my very first set of bitcoins Sad and I'm looking to order some more.

When I placed the above order, I was uncertain if the 2% fee came off the US$200 or was extra, so I added an extra US$20 to the money sent. As I learned from the order page above, the fee is deducted from the total, which means that you should still have the US$20 - is it possible to have this counted towards the order I have just made? - 196-571

Thanks,
str4d

You could always try something like https://www.bitcoin2cash.com/ (cash in the mail) or https://www.bitcoin2cc.com/ (virtual credit cards).

Re: Whitelist Requests (Want out of here?)

Hey, I'm hoping to get whitelisted in order to try contacting The MadHatter (since it appears that PMs aren't allowed for me yet) - I'm trying to get hold of some BTC in order to purchase a VPS for running various I2P-related services on, but my very first batch of BTC from him got stuck inside MyBitcoin and I can't even file a claim because the form rejects my password (that's the other reason I wish to get whitelisted), so I want to order some more but using money he already has from me (I overpaid for the first lot).

Re: Newbie restrictions

I see most here stating the restrictions are not high enough.  I'd like to say the opposite.  Bitcointalk should be about communication.  I find forcing new users to spam five posts in this forum degrading.  It potentially leaves a bad taste in the new users mouth.

I understand the problem, but, there should be a better way to approach it.  For example limit one account per IP type thing.  Tor/I2p/Proxy users would be sad, but, that is where 99% of your spam is coming from in the first place.  Alternatively if you detect a multi-ip account (aka from Tor) then force them into the "newbie" class and to jump through these (even more restrict) hoops; fresh/first IP users should be exempt from this and go straight to JrMember.

An alternative here would also be to set up interfaces to the forums from I2P and Tor - I don't know anything about Tor hidden services, but for I2P at least it is possible to uniquely identify visitors (anonymously) with destination hashes instead of IPs, and the changes required to utilize them are normally trivial.

Anyone else having unexpected "Username and/or password is invalid." errors? I've tried my known-correct password as well as every permutation I can think of - nothing.

Hey all, yet another new user here. Only signed up due to the recent MyBitcoin debacle - I have tried my correct password, plus every possible permutation I can think of, and none of them are being accepted as valid. So hoping to work out who to contact about it here (my email is associated with the account so they should be able to verify my identity that way). It sucks that MyBitcoin went down the very day my first bitcoins arrived from TheMadHatter, but now I know not to trust an online wallet >_< (also trying to contact TheMadHatter about another trade...)

Anyway, I generally inhabit I2P, and am working on creating useful services there and introducing more people to it (those bitcoins were destined for a new VPS to host services on...), and I like bitcoin as a way of preserving my pseudonymity while enabling me to contribute. I look forward to meeting you all!
