Z1+ 2180$

Ready ship from alibaba    Angry Shocked

Mine  was 5300 EUR

Be careful who you deal with through Alibaba...I was offered a new Z1+, PSU with shipping to South Africa for $1000. This business is from Turkey. When I went through their advertising pages in Alibaba it showed a granite business. I played along and asked the guy to send me a purchase invoice(PI). When I received it I checked the address on on google maps and it took me to a cellphone shop in Istanbul. As that old saying goes, ‘If something is too good to be true, it probably is’

Deal with suppliers someone on this chat group has dealt with else don’t take a chance cos you are good as gambling, with all the odds stacked against you

I am really interested in this ASIC as it will be my first and it really does seem legit but after this thread, I am not so sure.

Other than Amazon is there anywhere else I could buy it? I want to buy at least 5 or more to make a decent profit.

I visited the so-called official site of the machine. It cost a lot less there because they claim that they buy straight from the manufacturer

http://www.dayunmining.com/product/zig-z1/

It is a lot cheaper there and sometimes I see the Zig on sale and cost even less. They claim they only take BITCOIN because it is more secure that way. Do not get me wrong I am all for wanting to use Bitcoin as currency but honestly, it seems like a way to make sure they do not get caught scamming.

Does anyone have any opinion of this site or can tell me where to legit get a Zig to try for myself?

If you are keen to get one or more of these machines, try AKMiner.com as got mine from them. The owner Joyson is very friendly and accommodating and will help you with the price, shipping and customs. I don’t have any vested interest in this company , just trying to help those looking for a reliable supplier. I got my delivery 3 days after my order was finalized.

Hi,

I'm confused .. which is the right webpage to order the Miner direct from china / manufacturer ?

http://www.dayunmining.com/
Looks like scam - price too low, no ssl - bad appearance

https://www.zigminer.com/
Looks better but no option to order something (I mailed them ... no answer till now)

https://dayun.company/
Looks best, complete order / account system, price looks legit

Anyone could help here ... ?
Thanks

OK - my personal opinion here is , stay away from https://dayun.company a quick reverse lookup shows:
Host Name for 94.130.219.239
Host Name: davs.2sz.ru

Dayunmining.com is located in USA !?
107.180.50.231
Scottsdale, Arizona, United States
Price is too low compared to most offers - looks also like scam

I hat some emails with ZIGMiner - they answer short but I can't tell if they are legit. They offer to sell miner for ¥30000 including shipping. Looks like they don'T do this often - there is no shop system nor do they have any contract for international shipment. But If I dare I could offer there. Right now I don't - too often I burned in the crypto flames ...
but ... they also use a rented VPS ?! :
Host Name for 149.28.91.238
Host Name: 149.28.91.238.vultr.com

no luck here ?

Regards

Hi, I bought my Z1+ from AKMiner.com. Very good service and price

It’s 1:30 am in China, any improvement on the income?
Remember a simple thing: nowadays mainly only miming hardware manufacturers and hardware resellers earn money in crypto mining  sphere.

This is so true...however my naivity gave me hope. Paid for Z1+ over $4200 on Saturday only to see the price plunge on Monday. Those with the Z1’s have paid much more and are probably sitting in the same boat as most of us. This is a cruel game, not for the faint-hearted

Gday gents. being in Australia we get some hot temps. today was the first day over 30 in my area. My miners have been shutting down. first on 950 auto and now on 900 auto. Iam assuming that when the temps stay over 50 degrees it will shut off. Looking at the json file it is set to shutdown at 50 degress. has any one changed the temp to 60 or higher?  Iam running the 9.30 software. Or do you reckon re doing the thermal paste will help out enough? The miners are in my garage which isn't plastered so has ok air movement.  Thanks.

Hi, go to the message thread #174...I used these settings suggested by Mordred for my Z1+ and it works as my machine core temperature gets to 52-53 degrees Celsius but it still runs fine.

Saw few comments about the core temperature on the interface, my Z1+ runs in a range from 47-52 degrees Celsius. The temperature in Johannesburg has been around the 35 degree mark over the past few days. Is this okay or should I be concerned?

Hi

what it like there in JHB with power cuts and stuff, how you manage the downtime when no electricity ? also whats the going price for electricity now ?

just curious, didnt think there would be a lot of people willing to mine crypto in SA.

Regards
bitreo

The power grid has stabilized a bit so the power cuts are minimal, but still happens...when you least expect it to. Considering a solar solution to mitigate the power risk but that also comes a massive cost. The cost of electricity works on a step pricing scale. On average it starts from $0.12 p/kw and it increases with usage. This machine will cost around $140 pm. Mining is a bit expensive here. Just to give you an idea, the Z1+ sells for around $8800, due to all the taxes and the week Rand. Then add the power challenges, poor internet stability and trading fees. So you need to know what you are doing and the ROI takes 2 or 3 times longer than the many other countries.

Are you an ex-South African?

Also considering using a hosting service, in SA  Not too many miners...evident through the lack of interest when mining machines go up for sale.

The official site for firmware download: http://download.zigminer.com

Let me know if anyone tried the Z1 firmware on a Z1+.

I don't know what else to do because z1+ 20181015 doesn't work for my Z1+. So disappointed I couldn't get it to work this weekend.

I really hope it is not a bad unit coz that will take weeks to sort out.

Ask the company you bought it from to help...it’s in their best interests

So, what’s up on Nov 1?

They pull a Thanos, and remote-brick half the Z1 miners already running. Allowing difficulty to drop, and profitability to return for those Z1's who remain.

Lol!!

Looks like they are close to the 5000 sold mark so it will interesting to see how this is going to happen. Unless, they are going to shut their own farms off??? I don’t know much about this but it’s odd how they are suddenly going to control profitabilty, being a small company. I am grateful for this intervention so bring it on

I just got the Zig Z1+ with firmware 20181015 firmware for days ago. Had to change my router to 192.168.1.1 to be able to log in.

While I can log and set the parameters for Nicehash and log into the interface it always says offline and dashboard says "Miner may not start".

Anyone else got a Zig Z1+ working on 20181015 firmware?

Otherwise, I might have a bad unit.

I also have the Z1+ with the 15 October firmware which I received this past Thursday. Also struggled with the IP but once I changed IP range on DHCP, it found the Z1+ it works fine

asicminervalue indicates income of $24,03 for the Z1+ However I am only getting around $20 through NiceHash. Any recommendations on a pool where I can get the full value

Was anyone successful in flashing one of the version (20180930 - 20181015) onto a new usb and having it work?

If so, did you do anything special appart from using udisk ?

Here's how I messed up. I only went to login screen the first time. I tried the root/envision some people gave but it wouldn't login.

I then switched the usb to my PC to see if I could disable the password but got welcomed with a "you need to format this drive".

Test on 3 more pc, same result.

Tested again the miner, couldn't get in.

I've decided to flash the latest version, but now no matter what I try, I can't see my miner since I wiped the usb that came with it to try and upgrade it.

Check if a Tomax can help as they are a massive supplier of miners and they may have a relationship with DaYun as well. Maybe they can drop the entire usb drive contents on a zip file and send to you. I am not that technical else I would have tried to help. As mentioned is my previous post, I struggled to set up the IP and when I got it running I haven’t touched it. Also, my hash rate varies from 2.5 to 7.5 GH/S and I did read a post that deals with that but I am going to settle for my $20 per day and not touch the machine. Also saw the temperature running at 50 degrees for the core and the 4 units were running at around 69 degrees as my garage gets very hot and this machine throws out lots of heat. Not too sure if there is a risk with that so please let me know

Hi,

Did anybody buy from these guys:

http://www.dayunmining.com/

Claim to be direct manufacturer

Any thoughts?

They are not.  And the prices alone suggest it is a scam.

Look...Almost the same page... https://dayun.company/

I bought my Z1+ from Akminer.com. I suggest you WhatsApp them for a price as they delivered within 3 days and also helped me with customs. I will definitely buy from them again

The machine had been running for just over 23 hrs for $20.

Well, Tomax is the provider I actually used.

0.66 BTC vs the 4600$ of akminer still leave me a good 300-400$ cheaper product depending on where I was looking for the price. Google was also showing 6215$ exactly while binance was showing 6310ish.

By the way, do not do the newbie like me and do not try to immediatly flash latest version. If you do want to flash it on the usb, user another drive, not the default. I managed to see the miner login page before flashing it and now I'm stuck as I don't have the default version.

I'd suggest going to http://download.zigminer.com/ and downloading the udisk tool and make a backup of your usb. Oh and if you can send me a link for it afterward, I'd appreciate it Wink

This is my first miner so I struggled with sorting the IP but when I sorted that out and register with NiseHash everything ran smoothly. Also using the 15 October update and getting on average of 6.5 GH/S

@streenip

0.66 BTC (it was just before miner profitability drop) for 4215$ instead of the 5000+ that was listed on asicminervalue and the 4599$ that akminer was quoting me for purchasing 5+ unit.

And that was price for a single unit.

Add about 55$ usd duty fee (74.50$ cad)

Total 4270$.

Anyone happen to have a copy of the flash drive ?

I tried on 3 pc and each says I need to format the drive, but I could get to the login screen when going to the IP of the miner. I'd copy it onto another drive and see if I can work to put my address into the files instead of trying to find the root pwd for Z1+

Edit:

I found the download of different drivers. Trying with the 20181015 to see what happens.

Nope, that's a no go. Red light goes on for a few second before going for for 10-20 second, then back on, slowly flashing like this.

Tried with 20181015 on 3 different usb just to be sure.

Now trying the 20180930 overclocking to see if my Z1+ will come alive.

Thanks, that is an excellent price but this is where I have a problem...when you change that value to BTC it comes out much more than they quoted you. An example, I agreed to a price of $4220 (they added $20 more for the Bitmain PSU) with Tomax and they declined trade assurance due to being a new product. Then their payment options meant coverting a poor performing ZAR(check my previous feedback) to dollars. Nonetheless, I bought BTC and then did a conversion using huobipro.com which equates to $4220/$6574=0.642BTC. Tomax disagreed with the figure and insisted on charging 0.667BTC which increased the price to $4382, using my logic and calculations. I asked for the exchange they were using so we could work off the same platform...still waiting. Similarly I left them hanging.

I eventually settled for AKMiner, although at a higher price but I wasn’t getting the run around.

@litecoiners

Nope, profit was moving between 50-75$ daily. That's common and easy to understand for anyone with the slightest knowledge in mining.

Coin price can raise and lower. People can be thrown from some random algo to lyra on their GPU using Nicehash if it become the most profitable thing to mine. When that happens, the global payment for all lyra miners stays roughly the same, but having more miners mean each get a smaller part of it.

Anyway, yrk explained it pretty clearly and it seems you don't want to understand.

On a totally different subject.

I ordered a Z1+ last weekend from an Alibaba supplier and just received it with the Bitmain psu. Well packaged with thick foam all around so even if box was slightly dented, units are in perfect shape. 4 days from China to Montréal, Canada.

I knew it was a gamble and this coin fork lowering returns is sad, but on the other hand I now know where to order all my miners from Smiley

How much did you end up paying?
