From my end it looks like the multiport is supposed to point to YC now, but miners are still hashing at WC? What's going on with that?

The site uses shares submitted, which isn't really a reflection of your "hashrate" reported by your miner - it is what your miner calls work units. On my own Gridseeds, I've noticed that if I use higher difficulty I see a big variance in my shares submitted per 10 minutes. I use 128 for my 6MH and 10MH rigs of Gridseeds. For less than 16 of the 5-chip Gridseeds, I would use 64 for your difficulty.

Thanks for this info. I think it might be a good idea to update the difficulty section of the help page on the website, as of right now it suggests significantly higher levels of difficulty than what you gave here.

But regardless of that, it would still be a tough call to mine something other than WC at the moment. Those are the toughest calls we make at ipoMiner actually.. when to stop mining a guaranteed win to mine something that /could/ be better.

I don't know if other people agree with me or not, but in my opinion feel free to make a post here (or send an email out to people currently hashing on the Multiport) polling for opinions when you think it's a toss up between 2 or more coins. I don't expect you to have perfect knowledge and in the case of virtual currencies I think majority rules is a decent way to decide on what is a likely to be profitable (at least in the short term). I'm very happy with your management of the pool for the time I've been mining here, but I certainly won't think any less of you if you ask the pool's opinion when it comes to tough calls.

Now that I think about it, I'd rather you send a polling email to currently hashing members (is that possible?). I don't want this thread to become a place for bag holders to spam why their coin is so likely to succeed.

Is there anything better to be mining than ISR? I figured IpoMiner would be focusing on coins that were pre-first-bubble, but perhaps I assumed incorrectly?

Sometimes after the first bubble pops, the network hash rate also drops proportionally so it's still moderately profitable. The only coin listed on IPOminer with a higher BTC/MH/Day is IVC, and I don't believe it has a large enough total network hash rate to support the entire pool's hash rate. If you're tired of ISR, I'd recommend switching off the multiport to a single coin's port and just watching it until IPOminer has found something that interests you again.

Has anyone else had problems with Mingopool? I have auto-payments set up and have tried a manual withdraw, but my balance is just sitting there.

I'm not demanding the coins be sent, the investor probably would have dropped coins in either way and what's done is done.  Investor beware.  But I think the folks at CWC may have jeopardized the whole thing with this last minute behind the scenes deal.  The right thing to do would have been to tell the last minute "big money" to invest like everyone else, not give them special treatment that seriously effected the other EXTREMELY faithful investors who are playing by your rules.  It kind of makes you guys look like dicks, and that's not a super great image when you're trying to convince people you're in it for charity.

The whole thing sounds fishy and ruins any sort of transparency and trust you might have had before now.

This whole coin is about Charity and yet all these people complain about is their Investment and how much ROI they're making off it.

LOL

Nobody will support a charity that says one thing and does another.

Value of BLTZ dropped by approx 35% since yesterday

Now it's at half of what I've sold for over the last few days. IPOminer, I know you said that other coins don't have the buy support for a pool our size, but surely there has to be something better than Blitz now, right?

Is something going on with Blitzcoin? IPOminer shows it's paid out twice for me, but my wallet has 0 balance. Already tried re-downloading the block chain with no luck.

Anyone else having issues?

Edit- False alarm. Had to download the blockchain again after adding the BlitzCoin.conf posted in it's thread.

Thanks for adding that option.

What rotation are you planning now that Blitz has been added?

We can always add a direct port for any coin we mine, if there is demand. We've avoided publishing direct ports so far because we haven't mined most coins for longer than a few days. It doesn't make sense to commit to running a separate port for most newer coins for a longer period, because interest in them often fades.

I think it could be good to switch to ECC from time to time, we were getting a good profit of it, much better than with PAWN and GER in my opinion. A direct port could be nice also if more people are interested...

I'm with you on ECC, I think it could see a rise even more in the future (already up 50% from a couple days ago). I'm curious about Pawn, think I'll hold on to mine and see how the store opening goes. Not a huge fan of the country specific coins and think the influx of them after Aurora is going to make it unlikely any others get much attention. I'd be happiest splitting the time 50/50 with ECC and Pawn.

I feel like 2 weeks is more than enough time after announcing that a coin is being removed considering users have to log in to your site regularly to check for any new coins they may have mined. If you want to be super nice for the inattentive miners you could set up a system that either emails a user or displays a popup when they log in that they have X coin stored in the pool and it will be removed on whatever date.

Can you give more details about the numbers? The big ones that I'm wondering about are how long the PoW phase lasts, what the mined coin supply is, and what returns will PoS have?
we no want copycats... So we keep details until last minute. I can still assure we know what we are doing and we will reward early adaptors, miners those who become part of this awesome project! And it's definitely great well worth project to be involved.

Alrighty. Are you willing to share what % premine there is?
