most people usually don't want to financially commit to a profitable mining setup. 'cloud mining,' as it is nowadays is attractive for people new to the cryptocurrency scene as it appeals as 'free money.' however, as they are new, they're usually unaware of the prevalence of pyramid schemes related to cryptocurrencies.

i've said this many times before in other threads: there is no reason for a business to sell you their resources at a loss. you are not making money off of this, they are. on the chance there was a cloud mining op that was legitimate, they would have zero reason to help out a consumer make money when they could be using the hardware to make more money; hence by selling you this service, they ultimately make money off of the consumer.

cloud mining hasn't been legit since cex.io anyways. i'm more than comfortable labeling any recent cloud mining op that pops up as a scam with cursory examination.

but yes, they hit a lot of red flags, learn from your loss and move on. There's not much you can do assuming you paid in bitcoin. do your research and learn what the red flags are.

multiple bumps within 24 hours (roughly) are not allowed; whenever I see something similar I usually just report stating this rule. for this instance, I would go with something along the lines of 'spamming multiple bump posts all within a small timeframe, delete posts + temp ban'

out of curiosity, how much bug testing prior to launch has your team done? that aside, having internally developed games should be a huge plus since you won't have to wait on a provider to respond in case of a bug / other problems.

If this is a feature they intend to implement, bandwidth should be a trivial aspect, and their dev team should have already taken into account the requirements for providing this service. besides, streaming doesn't take up as much bandwidth as it used to; technology has progressed a fair amount in that aspect.

users have done this independent of a casino's services for some time; I remember people streaming a lot using third party services just about every day in PD chat, there was a fair bit of participation most of the time. It's just the casino deciding to provide an internal service for the users.

that's the sentiment most die hard bitcoin believers have. It's definitely paid off in the last few years for people with this mindset.

this exact this has happened in the last few years, and it can definitely happen again. however, my personal belief is that with cryptocurrencies taking offthe way it is now, I don't believe any significant crash is likely without some major event setting it off. likewise, I think the price is starting to stabilize quite a bit, and without some major stimulus, I don't see the price rising in any significant way anytime soon.

it is incredibly difficult to convey a satirical message in text without making it incredibly obvious. it's pretty easy to miss to be fair. however, there's no basis for converting bitcoin holdings to its altcoin forks in the hypothetical scenario, nor have you provided any explanation for your thought process. care to explain?

an interesting idea, but personally, I think there has to be some correlation between the difficulty and the network's total hash rate; as long as there is a reasonable amount to be made from mining blocks, people will keep buying miners to increase their odds of mining a block / their share form the pool. if we end up basing the difficulty purely off other variables (tx volume + fees in this case) we might end up with an incredibly disproportionate difficulty and drastic changes to the bitcoin network.
