Re: Is bitcoin a form of gambling?

No doubt it is risky way of making money and you can compare it to gambling. It is gambling because, you do not have any control on the prices.

Mining is for people with deep pockets. If you have sufficient money and have to choose between one, go for mining. It will be more profitable in long run.

Re: KYC at end of bounty campaign
by

What do you think about bounty campaigns that announce their KYC check at the end of the campaign? Many bounty hunters simply don't want to do that and the bounty managers or the ICO teams get free promotion for their projects.

Is this fair?

Every bounty thread should clearly state, wether there will be a KYC or not. We should ask the admins for changing the rules regarding this issue.

What do you think?

This is not fair at all. All these conditions should be mentioned at the time of starting the campaign only. You should report such cases to moderators.

Re: Do you choose to hold Bitcoin or Ethereum?

The recent bitcoin price volatility is particularly large, but the price of eth has been very stable, you choose to buy eth or bitcoin?
 Tongue Tongue Tongue

ETH is also going down these days and I think that it can go even more down in coming days. Invest in ETH only if you can hold for at least 3-4 years.

This is way to expensive in my opinion and I do not think that any project is paying him that much. This might be self promotion.

Which do you think is better and why?

ETH is way better in my opinion. Not only it can be rewarding, it  is safer in comparison to these new alt coins. If you still want cheap alt coin, go for Ripple.

Re: Huge correction 3 months - How to invest in difficult times
by
subbotina

Most coins have lost 50 to 80% of their value, many tokens that were financed with expensive ether may now have their funding reduced due to their holdings. Do you think many of the ICOs have sold their ether and bitcoin during the last months? What other factors are making the market go steadily down?

This correction was bound to happen after we saw the dramatic rise in prices from $7000 to $20000 in just few days. These coins should rise back now.

Re: Is Bitcoin Still Good to Make Investment in it

Yes, it is still way better if you compare it to options like stocks and mutual funds. But if you compare it to alt coins, it may not give that much return now.

Re: Stolen Bitcoin
by

Hi,

I am trying to find a company / Bounty Hunter to recover some BTC I had stolen.

Has anyone had any dealing with    www.darkwebsolutions.com  Huh?

I have been in contact with them and they are confident that they can get my BTC back, however they want $500 up front.

Naturally I am suspicious. Why not just include it in the 10% fee they take from the amount recovered.

Any help or alternative suggestions most welcome.

Take 10% from amount withdrawn, they will take all. But I think they are not capable of doing it an will take $500 and you will be fooled.

But we need Churches that accept donations in BTC for that. Aso, I think many people donate to local churches and thus all will have to implement for this to be successful.

I read comment by the admin that if the merit system fails to reduce spam from the website, he might take decisions like removing the signature campaigns. This is scary for me.  I am not eligible for any campaign yet but I was hopeful to get enrolled in one. If this is going to be implemented for sure, I might not be comfortable participating in discussions. I will though read posts by other members for information needed.

Yes. They will be banned. Go away. We don't want posters like you anyway.

Do you even read the query asked before replying ?

There are various other things to consider here as well. I am sure that the member you mentioned, must be making quality posts. But, if you analyze the complete forum, you will find very less number of members with such good writing skills. It does not necessarily mean that they are less knowledgeable.

Another thing I a see here is once a member gets merit from a member. Chances of getting merits from other members from same post also increases. This makes it more difficult for others.

Because Bitcoin is the first crypto currency. People associate crypto with Bitcoins.

what do you think will be the future of this market? and what needs to change so governments will start to recognize it as a currency?

More governments will ban Bitcoins as time passes. We will see the price going down due to this.

Is paper wallet, the most secured, most reliable, budget and user-friendly wallet for you?

I do not use paper wallet as I am not familiar with it. I just keep money in different exchanges to remain safe.

Re: If the world uses a single currency

If the world uses a single currency, will the economy be more stable?
This is a very interesting question. The sovereign nations issue their own currencies and are taken for granted by many people, but few consider whether this is the economically optimal option.

That will solve a lot of issues but practically not possible. Different countries are on different levels.

Re: History of bitcoin prices!

Jan 2018                $10,685             Again huge down.

From this chart, we can guess the future of Bitcoin price. We should not worried about the present bitcoin price. I think 2018 or 2020 will become a diamond age of bitcoin. What is thinking? you can also post your opinion on this thread.

In January 2019 it will be $100000. I am buying some very month.

Re: Bitcoin seems dead as a currency. Be welcome to share your thoughts
by
subbotina
on 11/02/2018, 10:50:15 UTC
Before starting with the topic I would like to clarify something: my account was hacked a while ago and recovering it was practically impossible since I had no BTC address on the signature. So, that's why I had to open a new one, I haven't done it before simply because I didn't need it, I have been away for a long time but I was here by the time Bitcoin was worth about $500 or even before that. I've become interested on it back then and started to collect them from faucets. Not long after that I started to collect other cryptos from faucets. I've seem Bitcoin and the others to evolve over these last years and frankly speaking it's a kind of sad to see the current status of the Bitcoin.

I am also worried about the money invested in Bitcoins mainly for safety aspect. Have tried to diversify by buying from different exchanges so that I do not loose all at same time.
