Hello community
I have a c# server backend and
I would love to receive bitcoins.
But finding a wallet is more difficult than expected.
Electrum has no Cli on windows,
NBitcoin is way too feature rich and complicated for a crypto beginner like me.
I am basically looking for a way to receive money. Best solution would
make be a cold wallet that is only able to receive money but not spend,
Just like electrum (damn it’s almost perfect).

Anonymous Free API of an online wallet is also acceptable.

regards glascake

You can run a full bitcoin node on Windows using Bitcoin core which has a JSON RPC API, providing an interface to send & receive BITCOIN by generating a payment addresses.   Here is a link to the API reference guide with an example implementation for .NET (C#) on how to communicate with the RPC service running on the Bitcoin core client.

https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/API_reference_%28JSON-RPC%29

You can download the Bitcoin core client from Bitcoin.org

Cheers!

If you own any of the last three generation of GPUs - AMD or NVidia, mining is still profitable.

But, buying mining hardware and getting access to cheap electricity now - ROI periods are now exceeding 600 days.

I would never buy mining hardware with an ROI that long.  180 days max, which would need a drastic price increase of all cryptocurrency prices or manufacturers to drop prices of current inventory.

Not going to happen.

Even with a brand new NVidia RTX 3080 GPU mining Ethereum - the ROI is still over 700 days (with out any diff adjustments).

https://www.coinwarz.com/mining/ethereum/calculator

So yeah, new folks thinking about mining are better off spending the money to buy the cryptocurrency rather than mining hardware.

Buy - do not mine. :-)

Daily Bitcoin Mining Rewards are above $9,000,000 - But...

Given 900 Bitcoin are mined each day, which currently equates to more than $9,000,000 USD - not including fees.

But with the current ASIC mining hardware generation, the ROI period is well over 600 days without any diff changes.

What happened to the 90 day ROI???

Here is an example using the Bitcoin mining calculator from Coinwarz for Bitmain's Antminer S19 pro.

https://www.coinwarz.com/mining/bitcoin/calculator

That said, I'm not sure new miners - trying to mine Bitcoin would ever ROI for capitol costs and on-going operating costs, unless the price drastically increases.

What do you think?

Change my mind.

Cheers!

One of my clients sent me a pic of his mine.  All of the rigs are mounted in my mining trays (with tops).

The GPUs are all 7950 Radeons (mostly MSI Twin Frozrs).   Max hash is currently at around 73MH.

Box fan cooling FTW!   Grin

Nice! I guess you better go big or not mine at all.

That article is not entirely true.  Dogecoin is merged mined using AuxPOW for Scrypt, which means most of the hash rate mining Litecoin is also used for Dogecoin, hence it is Litecoin that has the hashing power security.

As of now:

Litecoin Hashrate: 300.50 TH/s
Dogecoin Hashrate: 208.83 TH/s

So about 66%.

Y'all should really go to the Discord. Dev's and mods are not paying  a great deal of attention to Bitcointalk, but they are quite active in the Discord.

As to the person who was having a problem importing the key, I believe there was some issue with segwit keys, but I don't know how to fix it. But it was addressed a couple of times. Unfortunately, I don't know if there was a solution yet.

My keys were normal, and I had no problems, other than the ones caused by Yobit and Tradesatoshi sitting on the wallets.

Can you provide the Discord link?

here is discord link : https://discord.gg/ZhZYTYJ

Re: Bitmain looks like they're releasing a 15GH/s DASH miner called the AntMiner D3
by
sunsofdust

Any idea why last Aug 3 batch Bitmain originally announced L3+.  At the time of order I could not even add L3+ to order.  Bitmain was so slow 2 am PST.  Any idea why L3+ has such a large demand even though ROI is lot longer than D3?  Why such demand for L3+?

I guess because total hashrate compared to what a L3+ brings is very high and it is much more spread between different coins. So the calculated profitability is much more realistic than that for D3.

What do you mean by L3+ Litecoin hasrate is spread over different coins?  Which coins?

The L3+ is a scrypt algorithm miner so it can mine coins that use the scrypt algorithm.  I am not sure how accurate or complete this list is but if you go here and sort the table by type and then scroll down to POW scrypt you will see a lot of coins.
http://coinwik.org/List_of_all_DCs
I am not sure why there is an inconsistency with some being listed as just scrypt and some as POW scrypt but you can see there are a lot.  Then scroll down further and look at the list of X11 coins.  Those can be mined with the D3 which is an X11 algorithm miner.  So one thing worth mentioning is that monetary unit switched from quark to X11 fairly recently and it is accurately listed on there as X11 so it would appear that someone is maintaining the list to some degree.

Thank you no.you for the list of Litecoin compatible currencies using POW Script algorithm.  Since L3+ is designed to mine Litecoin at 504MH/s, lets say can you mine Zcash (also POW Script) using it at 504MH/s?  Is it a safe assumption?

Ah hell, it does say ZCash is scrypt.  Well fuck that list then.  ZCash is Equihash not scrypt.  If it was scrypt though, then yes the L3+ would be able to mine it at 504Mh/s.  I just googled and found that page and posted it to help respond to your question which is why I said I wasn't sure how accurate it was.  But if you do your research you can find no shortage of scrypt coins.  http://whattomine.com has a reliable list but it is very incomplete.

So for example the L3+ can absolutely mine (among other things including obviously LTC):
DNotes(NOTE)
DGB-Scrypt(DGB)
AUR-Scrypt(AUR)
Bata(BTA)
GameCredits(GAME)
etc...

But since this is actually the D3 thread I should mention that in addition to DASH the D3 can mine:
Startcoin(START)
Smartcoin(SMC)
Prime-XI(PXI)
DigitalPrice(DP)
etc...

Coinwarz has pretty decent list of 30 Scrypt cryptocurrencies to mine.
