Over 30 minutes for a single confirmation does not (and will not ever) work in the real world.
(Almost) Every time I start to believe that BTC is "going mainstream", I have a delay waiting for a 30+ minute block....  Shocked

BS, its called variance. I have always got confirmed within 10min, some even in secs ..... What does that tell you?

Look at the avg block time, you've been this ignorant b4. Sell your coins and fck off?

Re: Dogecoin Community Shocked as Bizzare Moolah Drama Takes Final Twist

Doge community
On Wednesday, the same day that Moohla apparently had found a second life, Dogecoin Founder Jackson Palmer, posted a Google document revealing Green’s numerous identities and alleged criminal past. According to the document, Alex Green is actually the internet scammer “Ryan Kennedy”, also known as “Ryan Humble,” and “Ryan Gentle,” among others.[/b]

How much you wanna bet Jackson Palmer had that info for months but only decided to publish now that moolah is finished? I'm glad I'm done with Doge since months ago. mulah and doge deserved each other.

Yes, this has raised a great question in my mind which I posted earlier.

It seems obviously bullshit that this all came to light instantly after the moolah announce. I believe that the doge developer here has a lot to answer for!

Actually Jackson Palmer raised concerns on Reddit in April - and Moolah and his legion of helpers turned on him and ran Jackson out of his own community. Jackson got legal threats for defamation, death threats and everything. The problem was that some of the mods on that subreddit were working for Moolah.

So the man did try - it's just that the herd didn't want to hear what he was saying.

ETA: Some other devs spotted he was fishy too and moved to protect their coin. Here's a screenshot of interaction between Reddcoin devs and Moolah from July:

http://reddcoin.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/reddcoin-twitter-response-moolah.png

Bang on. 6 monthsish ago I was in the Dogecoin Slack Group and the chat between the DEVS, mods and Moolah was insane. I raised the concerns that it was extremely unethical and not healthy for a financial service to be A) involved in the moderation of the main community discussion forums, and B) the Dogecoin Group which was a central location for discussion on a lot of the development and community initiatives.  That got me banned from literally everything.  It's been moolahcoin for a long time, the only problem was any comment that wasn't pro moolah was classified FUD.

No one clicks a link without a description, and even then it's sometimes weird.

Haha that made me laugh. Fixed it, thanks for the heads up i'm new around this neck of the woods

A document posted on r/dogecoin and tweeted by Jackson Palmer with some pretty solid evidence towards a scam. https://docs.google.com/document/d/10JYJZ8-e_0SIXsDz_b2MYJxq8fVZ37PsOK689e4Bnng/pub

Looking for a partner
by
sushibi
on 09/10/2014, 03:58:50 UTC
Hey everyone!

I am looking for someone to join a project i'v been working on, www.yocrypto.ca. The goal of the website is to provide resources and content to A) Businesses considering accepting crypto currencies and B) Businesses already accepting crypto currencies.  The aim is to help small businesses with an effective crypto currency integration.

The original goal of the site was to encourage adoption, but I really want to provide content to the businesses already adopting crypto currencies. I noticed a number of local companies will throw up a "Bitcoin" accepted sign, without any real strategy, in return they haven't really had success. Likewise it is always a discussion of how crypto currencies actually benefit people, so we want to publish marketing and promotional ideas that encourage businesses to educate and provide the consumer value in their marketing and promotional efforts.

There is a number of ideas and future plans for YOCRYPTO but I have really got too much on my hands. I have been working to make the site niceand little time for the actual content and articles in the blog. Likewise, we do a number of interviews, but I'v had a lack of time to contact businesses as  I have 2 articles on the go, one with the Vericoin developers and the Bitcoin shop.  In addition, linked up interviews with a number of other industry leaders which I have had to put off due to to many things on the go!

It would be nice to find a partner who cares about the idea as much as I do and have someone to throw ideas around, discuss the future with, lighten the load and monetize.  Like I said there is an idea, just not enough bodies to make it work at the moment it's just me.

I'm not exactly sure what i'm looking for, really anyone interested with experience and a passion for crypto currencies.  If this is something that interests you and you think we would make a good team please let me know and lets discuss! If you're just taking a peek, I would love any feedback on the idea or site.

Thanks guys!

Re: Is Circle the killer application?
by
sushibi
on 06/10/2014, 00:07:12 UTC
Hi -

I don't believe Bitcoin is in need of a killer app.  I belive Bitcoin is in need of a killer incentive.

Without incentive to use the currency in the first place, the general public is never going to use any "killer apps" that become available.

Circle could be the easiest thing ever to hit the Bitcoin space.  If consumers don't give a fuck about Bitcoin, they aren't going to use Circle.

It will simply be a killer app for people already in the Bitcoin ecosystem.

-B-

Agreed! It's up to the specific industries adopting it to give back to the community and provide their own value adding incentives.  But I think apps like Circle bring everything to life and simplify the process.  If your bored check out www.yocrypto.ca. Trying to build a database of marketing material and promotional ideas that encourage crypto accepting businesses to add value to bitcoin purchases. Slowly but surely!

what's the incentive of buying btc by normal people ?
because the btc can hedge against fiat value devaluation ,so the only thing that matters is the price .
if the price goes up stably more and more people would get involved .
But now the situation is dirty chinese exchange are controlling the price , they wants to make fiat money from big volatility .

Recent plummet of bitcoin price was due to the Alibaba's huge amout of IPO. Many traders were dumping their bitcoin holding recklessly on the open market. Don't you read the news? I don't think it is right to blame others' non-exist mistakes without knowing the true.

That's a comical conclusion. I think you need to look elsewhere, maybe get some facts to back that up... I think that is one of the least likely scenarios.   Roll Eyes
