Hello, recently I was given my dads DMD wallet.dat. I see the steps on how to import to V3 but I don't have V2 chain on any computer. My question is were all his confirmations/weight/intrest reset in the V3 transition or was that taken into account and credited in the new chain?

Is there a bootstrap.dat available for V2 chain just before the transition so I can export private keys from the wallet.dat?

Thank you,

Any serious answer from an official team developer is on offer though?

OK, so I understand updates are forthcoming but that you don't give specific deadlines, but can you elaborate what's the "new direction"? I'm asking because I saw this specifically mentioned and yet I couldn't find an authoritative source describing the new direction.

New direction is GAME OVER.

I think people are getting sick of Bitcointalk.org as a go to source. NHZ is pretty active on facebook. https://www.facebook.com/groups/NHZOfficial/

Hello guys!

I can't run XC wallet and Blocknet Wallet at same time on a PC.
Is that normal or i am doing something wrong?

Also want to ask if 9 PM UK time is when Blocknet ITO beggins?

How can i buy shares using XC?

Do i still can buy Blcknet share using XCurrency?Smiley

He man, the ITO began at 10pm GMT+1 (EU time) this morning.
I did manage to get some BLOCK with XC, I just checked the blocknet thread, it seems it's still possible to buy with XC

Oh also, I do run both on the same PC. The blocknet wallet crashed the first time I ran it, but it started and synced well the second time

And how do i do that?
https://www.coingateway.net here?

Hello. Does anyone have an explication for such an enormous price drop? The only way i can think of would be an investor's fear that 2.5K BTC ito will possibly raze xc's singularity or diminish its reputation. Seems like among all the other coins applied for participation in blocknet only xc keeps losing in its value. Just look at trex charts: blocknet has been announced 10-20.2014 and next day 10-21.2014 a huge price drop occurred 0.00103733-0.00069996.

You have discovered Hot water
Nope, i've discovered why warm water (XC) freezes faster than cooler water (Apex, SSD, NHZ and so on)

It's ALL about time frames. XC had been holding very good prior to this. BC/VRC/DRK gosh even NXT have lost well over 50% since june/july. People have been more patient with XC as it's a top premium coin in most people's mind bust lack of interest in the alts had to hurt this one as well.
my personal view : i always thougth xc was a solid coin and the devs prooved that they were good bla bla ... so i was holding ... but now ... this blocknet stuff totally pisses me off, instead of adding more value to xc they are working on other projects clearly to make some money.in fact i dont even get why its on the roadmap.they could also write other code viewings on that roadmap. the pure statement its good for xc has been proven wrong in the last days
many holders were pissed like me -> sold -> price drops

what else should it be  Huh

Umm... Dan yesterday fixed issue with Mac wallet and today released a test of the android app. What more do you want?

Synechist,
Can we try to bring some structure into this test & start with the basics?
Where/who is the XC test manager? Testing is a job for a skilled professional, you are great with communication but maybe it is more smart to structure this endevor by switching first to the XC forum and get someone tech from the team to coordinate everything. Including (but not limited to) basic setup & checks and a simple checklist that can be crossed of after x no of confirmations from independed users opn the specified platform.

Im my day job i handle acceptance test with a lot more care & preparation that what seems to be happening here. And this is cross platform with cutting edge tech

I just installed from the .exe you just posted as the stable version over the current one(eg: did not de-install anything) , the wallet reports "v0.9.2.49.08.XCurrency-REV2" as the version. Is this correct?

Second: in my (windows) explorer i still see something i do not understand.
The XCurrency-qt.exe reports Date Modified: 10/1/2014 12:43PM
Following this thread i would expect a more recent timestamp. Is this correct?

but first ... i have a 4 year old that needs me to read here a bedtime story ... will be back online in an hour or so

My thoughts exactly on testing. I had already typed my rant before seeing this Smiley

Some targeted testing lead by Dan or another team member with a select group of testers from the community would be very welcomed. This could be coordinated using IRC and the Forums to better track issues.  I think some official thread topics on the forum for each platform would be great with best practices on information to supply when an error occurs in the OP for each. I think as a community we really need to refocus on the forums for specifics. I know this is the place to be but it is absolutely horrible for development/issue tracking IMO. If when someone asks a question rather than pointing to the 1 of 1000+ pages here the related forum topic would be much more helpful in the long run.

Other than this CURRENTLY being the place to go for info what is our (The XC community) hold up to using http://xctalk.com ?

Don't like bittrex order book? Try this one: https://cryptrader.com/

I like it much better and can view multiple exchanges easily. They have XC markets from bittrex cryptsy and poloniex.

Really liking the direction of NHZ. I swapped my small holding in NXT for NHZ and setup a node.

For those having issues with your node not being seen for some reason my config file though appearing correct was not being read correctly.

When launching the node make sure the highlighted fields are populated.

For some reason the way I had copied and pasted or something else I don't know just wasn't being read.
I may have had an extra space or something I really am not sure but after playing around with the formatting the lines populated correctly. After that my node was very quickly recognized by the node status checker
These are the relevant lines in the config file that worked.

I still do not get it.. 2500 BTC? 950 000 dollars for some tech that will enable the use of other currencys tech between each other. Now, 95% of all currencys already do have the same tech.

I'm attempting to set up a mixer and I've been searching through the forums for an elusive answer.

Do the 1,000 XC need to be in the same address in chunks of 250?

or

Do the 1,000 XC need to be in the same wallet spit into different addresses of 250?

Thanks for your help.

Either will work. Once some mixed transactions go though you will have many addresses with various amounts in them.

Just received an XChat message from an unidentified user at XP7AaWJHeoUe2GjwRot2sN14nQDDkccWRH, "Howdy".  Client crashed again.

Is there anything the community can do to help the team with development of XChat?

Howdy Smiley

That was me. I am using version v0.9.2.49.08i.2.XCurrency-REV2 on Windows 7.

Very cool.  Windows XChat client sent to Mac XChat!  Things are progressing!

I JUST sent you a message back from the message thread you sent me.

Also added you to a group chat with another user outside of my network who was able to successfully send me a message and sent a message to that group chat.

My Mac app seems to be crashing when receiving a message if you have been replying to me.

I've sent messages to over a dozen users with my Mac wallet that have their XChat info displayed publicly.  Please respond and send me messages back.  My XChat info is in my sig and I'll be playing with this ALL DAY from 2 machines with 2 separate wallets.

I may even add a Linux machine to the mix if I can't get some other testers that wanna play.

Sent you a message to wallet in your sig. Is your wallet encrypted if so do you have it Unlocked or unlocked for staking? I am not clear on if it is needed but I have been testing with wallet unlocked (not for staking)

A few things I hope are planned before or part of REV3.

1.) Not having to fully unlock wallets for anything. (It makes me extremely nervous)
2.) Online Indicator for XCHAT and/or message failed to reach sender notifications.
3.) Not having to open ports in router to send private transactions.

Hit me up for XChat. I have my client in autonode mode have not tried chat like that yet.

Interesting. Message sent.

Sent you one too... looks like it may not work in autonode swapping back to regular wallet to see.

edit: Is working in autonode mode.

This was an amazing albeit very long video about bitcoin in Canada though it seems more focused on the blockchain in general. How would Dan or Arlyn feel being in Andreas' shoes when XC goes main stream? Especially how would one answer the first inevitable question about money laundering, purchases of illegal goods/services? Bitcoin somewhat seems to get a pass because it is not really anonymous/private.
