Dear Dev,
I'm trying to apply one stake for myself.
I'm a engineer in China, but I'm a fan of cryptocoins.
I love the fair spirit of this nice coin. Glad to join in it!
As rules, I post my wallet at: https://cryptocointalk.com/topic/9028-communitycoin-comm-information/?p=77946
I promise if I get the stake I will promote it in my soical website, including QQ, weibo and blog.

Confirming that I have received my CommunityCoins - thanks!

I've been considering some ways to increase the distribution further within a growing community without doing the usual giveaways etc.

I remembered one of the Tor project devs. once giving a presentation on 'Incentive Mechanisms' for running Tor Relays !

So, I propose to giveaway 50% of my initial CommunityCoins over an extended duration to anyone prepared to run a Tor Relay.

Anyone doing this will receive an initial 'set-up' donation and also receive a weekly ongoing payment for as long as the node remains active. These rewards will diminish over time to cope with demand and their will ofc be a total max. allocation.

Each Tor Relay should be a new named Relay with proper port forwarding on the router. This could make for the perfect opportunity to turn your old 32 bit windows xp machines into a linux Tor Relay running on your 'home' router.

CommunityCoin Tor Relays can be identified as active via the Atlas and also torstatus.blutmagie.de

I propose that Relays are named as something random+COMM i.e. MyTorRelayCOMM

I'm still working out a possible payments structure with my available CommunityCoin funds and will start a new thread soon.

Up to 500+ additional Tor Relays should be a very good way to create interest in this new coin and help to build a community.

See: https://www.torproject.org/getinvolved/relays.html.en for set-up information of a Tor Relay.

The Tor software has great settings to control bandwidth usage if your worried about any restrictions with your ISP. Its even possible to have your Relay set to switch on at night and to then switch off during the day when you want to use the bandwidth for yourself.

Send me a PM if your actually interested in running a Tor Relay for FREEDOM and to help others and not just because you want to try and get some free Community Coins.  Smiley
Congratualations. And great idea.

If I will get my stake, I'm glad to giveaway a part of my COMM to your plan.

And I'm very happy that senior members like you have been invovled in this coin.
This will make the coin different.

Thanks!

This concept is now live over at the ecoiner.org forum: http://ecoiner.org/communitycoin/set-run-tor-relay-server-receive-communitycoin-1408/

Also, If anyone wants to help with a website or documentation then that would be great !

It's rush time now. People always want to get their stake at first.
After the messy distributions phase, I think more people will concern about your plan.
Also, I'm glad to donate some coins to support your plan if I got my stake.

I want to like Ripple.... "a few frustrating but enlightening hours" just doesn't cut it these days.

I had a revelation about Ripple and saw its potential about a month ago when a few Ripple based alt coins (BIG coin and LOLcoin) were released and the coins were given away like XRP was originally on bitcointalk.

I was determined to exchange the free coins for btc and after a few frustrating but enlightening hours I was successful in exchanging my 50,000 BIG coin and 2,000,000 LOLcoin for .008 btc.

If you really want to understand ripple, I found hands on experience to be the best teacher.

somehow I ended up with an account negative 999,000 LOLcoins...I don't know how this happened can anyone explain?

Careful if the value goes way up you will have a debt you can never repay...........LOL?

I also don't like ripple.
I think litecoin will be in the future will have great development, because now it still has very large development space
I bought some at a high price, while the present price halved! Damned!

China really needs to get their shit together as far as government goes...Get the communist party out, they are not a healthy political party and in the long run I see some serious problems with them. I do what I can to fix the mess here in the US but China is on a different level of messed up.
I can't agree with you, I think this is a government should do in order to control all may cause hidden danger.

Now is the time to BUY BUY BUY!!!

Smiley

UPDATE (28th March, 10:00 GMT): Sources in China have reported since this article appeared that the ‘rumors’ contained in the Caixin story appear to be true, though bitcoin exchanges still have received no official notice from the People’s Bank. The bitcoin price has continued to drop, now sitting just above $500.

There is a rumor on Reddit that the reporter of Caixin article is daughter of vice minister of finance, so it must be true.

This ban will cause much more damage than December ban. On December, China forbid all merchants to accept Bitcoin as payment, but traders are still buy and sell normally. However April ban will be different, exchanges now being forbidden from touching banking system, which mean at least 95% of trading volume would be killed.

I live in China, this matter is a rumor, does not have this thing. Angry

Here is an example of the point I'm making -> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=537748.0

Until either Bitcoin Core doesn't take forever and a day to sync, or it stops being the "official" client, then we'll see posts like this with an ever increasing frequency.

Perhaps the bitcoin.org site could only reference the "Bitcoin Core" app under the "developers" section, and for the "getting started" only reference wallets that don't need the full block chain. Just a thought.
The idea you also realize the need for a very long time

If you made a ton of micro payments over say the course of a year when the bitcoin price was rising relative to usd, what are you supposed to do, go back and find the exact capital gains of each micropayment and total them? That's what they are implying and few people are going to do that.
You say so and I like very much the same

“Bitcoin takes the machinery of freedom…” - That’s exactly the main concept of bitcoin; to give us the freedom in terms of financial use. Gamblers are already utilizing this freedom by playing in bitcoin casino like Betcoin™.
The critical moment now, BTC is developing but a lot of people are using BTC to gambling, money laundering and so on some bad aspects, it will affect the BTC status in the people heart

obama was the start of the apocalypes ... everyone knows this. a big figure of power that hass a strong speaking and wins millions over quick and becomes a lot of power.

I think there is more you want.
Satoshi should not think that kind of thing, he denies that he is the founder of BTC should have some concerns,
fear of people in some countries is bothering him or he really not founder

You see a $1 bill on the sidewalk. Is it 'worth' it to pick it up, because of all the paperwork you need to file to the IRS?

This is basically what you're asking with the small transactions. The IRS doesn't care. You get $50 in your birthday card, you earn $20 baby sitting, $20 mowing someone's lawn, $20 shoveling driveways, etc. The IRS doesn't care.

If you win $1000 in a slot machine - the IRS cares. You pay $20,000 cash for a car. The IRS will be all over that.

This government is the less money they don't care because they can't get much from

He follows me around and gets my posts deleted tho. I have tried ignoring and I keep getting my shit deleted. So I am at the end!

The only way you are getting your posts deleted is if you are posting in a self-moderated thread and the thread creator is deleting them, or you are making off topic posts or threats.

The moderators are very lenient here so you would have to really fuck up to get your posts deleted. They aren't going to delete posts simply because some user told them to.

Oh, and spam will get deleted. You aren't spamming, are you?

The way you talk should change, you received the report will be delete. Don't be too concerned about these details.

I agree with Luno; people need to learn to think for themselves, and they'll never do it if you create a child-safe environment for them.  We're all adults here, and if there exists adults which can't figure the difference between fact and FUD says more about our society than it does about this site's moderation practices.

What you say is very accurate, and now we are adults, to view the problem.

I think  the newbie restriction should be up again and let all the newbies struggle and wait for their positions to get promoted so that they should realize that its not easy to get to the higher position they have to wait and work over it to be able to post anywhere in the forum and when they did most of them will not spoil their profile as they have worked over it and hey by doing that  Atleast we will have a  separate section for most of the craps and scams and magical deals lolzzzzzz   Grin Grin

Your idea is novel, is in trouble for novice grope grow?
