Got it working now.

https://www.imageupload.co.uk/images/2017/08/20/bot.jpg

Is there a way to change the font color of the cgminer? For instance ACCEPTED is green, REJECTED is red.

When do I get payout? Even though it is small. Im only running 1 2pac usb.

The command I use to run:
Code:
./cgminer -o stratum+tcp://pool.ckpool.org:3333 -u -p x --suggest-diff 32

Thanks a lot.

Oh I don't know... Maybe read the Gekkoscience 2PAC hardware thread. All you need to know about them is in the first few posts about them Wink

Ohh its a cgminer. Thanks for the link NFW.  Grin

Hi All,

I got now my 2 x 2pac usb from Klintay (eyeboot). Thanks

https://image.ibb.co/fPr9HF/20885028_10204007029371872_1618840630_n.jpg

My question is I have now 2 usb and 1 raspberry pi 3. What is now the best hub to use in this kind of setup?

What is the program/app should I download/run in order for it to start mining?

Thanks in advance

Hi All,

I would like to build similar to this setup:

https://s21.postimg.org/fdfl4forb/miner1.jpg
Picture not mine. Thanks to owner

I will be using the items below:
* superbpag USB 3.0 70 watt hub - I saw on this thread
* 2pcs sidehacks 2pac usb stick
* artic fan
* raspberry pi 3

I would like to know if this will suffice to run for at least a year. Im doing this to experience only (not to ROI)

Also can I also attach the display, just like on the picture?

Thanks in advance.

I killed one with 3 futurebits.

and killed another with 4 du1's.

My "controller" was reporting power surging backwards along the usb 3 line into the computer. so I think it has a design flaw.

Great hub until the bed started smelling funny.

I guess in the defense of superbpag they might not be made to run in a 90-105F ambient room.
That's probably the issue- they dont have the best cooling features with just a copper fin and with so much power running through them something might've malfunctioned in the heat.

What is the best solution here? or any other hub suggestion for raspberry pi? Thanks

Do you suggest any good usb miners? Thanks a lot.  Smiley
Have a look at sidehack's usb miners. They seem like the only modern/up to date USB miners.
Don't bother with an erupter unless you're getting one for novelty value, you'd be lucky to find a satoshi per year  Cheesy

Hi Kevin,

Thanks for the reply. Do you have a link for the sidehacks usb miners?
Also what is the difference between usb miners vs erupter? Sorry super noob.

Thanks

USB miners are not profitable anymore, since a long time,

Depends on the miner Wink
A raspi as hub for your usb miners can be done easily.
ROI depends, on the future price and costs to start.

Hi klaaas,

Thanks for the response. Do you suggest any good usb miners? Thanks a lot.  Smiley

I will be honest with you : USB miners are not profitable anymore, since a long time, either they are ran on common computers or on a Raspberry Pi. So I suggest you to buy no USB miner at all, since you will never break even. That would be wasted money.

Ohhh thats sad to hear.. Sad

Even I wont make a 0.000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001 bitcoin?

If I can make even smallest value, I will try. Can you help me? Thanks

Sorry I did not include in my post above that I will be using multiple 5v usb port. Smiley

Is it possible now?

Actual setup see image below:

I will be using 12v car battery to power up my 5v usb ports.

Thanks

Hi All,

Newbie here. I would like to ask how can I mine bitcoin using my rpi3 using a 5v 2.1amp usb port to power my rpi and usb minerBTC. Is this possible?
Also If I use usb hub, is it enough to use 5v usb port to power my hub?

https://s9.postimg.org/72nkh5z9r/usblighter.jpg

Another question is where can I buy usb miners / block erupters? Is gekkoscience the ideal usb miners this days?

Note: I am fully aware that it will cost me more than what I gain. I just want to make one. Smiley

Thanks in advance.
