SelfDrop is a means of interacting directly to the project contract address to get ZFE token immediately ETH sent been confirmed on the blockchain which automatically calculate the number of token worth of Ether sent.

in the last 21 months price was higher than now only one fkn day!

Wow, that's nice to read. Lets not stop now though, I'd like to see a big push over the weekend to get through the 500 barrier.

Now we are past the 3000 yuan barrier on the Chinese exchanges $500 won't take much of a push. It's the Memorial Day holiday on Monday in the US so they will have extra time for trading. A big push through an extra long weekend in the US might get through the 500 barrier.

Re: [ANN][LSK] Lisk | Blockchain Application Platform for JavaScript Developers
by
sx100
on 27/05/2016, 11:06:59 UTC
Here's my take on what might happen in the coming weeks/months

People will think its a great time to buy lisk and invest in DAO tokens, forgetting that there are others before them who bought ata much higher price despite the 1.5x bonus advantage, this will maintain the lisk volume but once DAO tokens begin trading in relation to ETH people will want to cash out their ETH but at that low price they will either hold on doing so or drive the price lower leading to a panic sell, which may funnel into Lisk that may happen in the coming 48-72 hours

Waves has gathered some funds but be it waves or rise (no comparison there), I do not see them offering anything as good as Lisk let alone better than it, Lisk has Azure, 12th highest crowd fund, advantages of ethereum coupled with java script, massive volume gain and public attention and good pr. This i think may cause slight disruption in the Lisk price as waves and rise are released (not sure when), but I strongly think they'll fall back eventually.

The bitcoin halving may also drive the Lisk price higher, coupled with the conferences which Max has planned to attend.

All in all I think Lisk can and may eventually take over a very large portion of Eth volume, although, the Eth DAO will always sustain a good foundation which can decrease eth volatility on the long run.

I'm thinking Eth may increase in volume to 150M USD in the coming weeks, 400M with more public attention and the halving, and up to 600M in a few months. Price may touch on 2USD in the coming weeks, 4 in the coming months and I think may stabilize at 5 or 6USd eventually if all goes well.

For now, what's happening is the market is trying to deal with all the ICO Lisk coming in and manipulating it for short gains, but it will eventually continue to rise.

The biggest hit to crypti was bitcoin crashing after it started. It's the opposite with lisk. Bitcoin's starting to pump at the start of lisk, and most altcoins follow bitcoin's price direction. The higher bitcoin pumps, the higher lisk will pump.

How can the Gash Point to persuade the 3 million users to use bitcoin? Will the bitcoin buy more stuff in the games?

they can do only in one way, by offering crazy discount, if you buy with bitcoin, than this will lead to a better price of bitcoin because of the adoption increase which mean that you can buy even mor estuff with a single coin

They must save money on credit card fees when people use bitcoin, and the could pass those savings onto customers. It would help bitcoin adoption, but businesses often keep any savings for themselves to increase their profits. I hope Gash Point doesn't keep the savings for itself, and passes them on.

I'm surprised you're actually still trading on Bitfinex. It has more problems that MtGox had.

I have a Kraken account, but am not currently using it. The level of complaints about reliability seems higher for Kraken... Roll Eyes

What sort of complaints? Is it only can't log in, and trading engine complaints, or are there also complaints about withdrawals and deposits?

The kraken does leverage so getting locked out when you need to close your position is unacceptable. If your withdrawals also get frozen then that exchange shouldn't have been selected to help reimburse the gox coins.

The day's not over yet. It fell 30 bucks in six hours, and now the volume's dried up and it's stopped. If it goes down another 30 bucks today it could signal a trend reversal, but it could start going sideways again and leave us all guessing.

Bitfinex charges lower fees than bitstamp. The Chinese exchanges like houbi and okcoin don't charge any fees at all for trading. They look like they have higher volume than the exchanges that charge fees but most of their volume is from high frequency buying and selling of the same coins by bots.

by

Does the whale digger really sold all his CLAMs yesterday?

If you believe what he says, yes. Beyond that it is impossible to know.

Quote
No more dumps?

Other people, including whoever supposedly bought his 100 BTC worth of CLAMs, might dump.

The stake weight on the network has gone up by about 200K CLAMs, so someone is staking coins that weren't be staked yesterday. That is unambiguous.

There was another 50 bitcoin dump about twelve hours after the whale digger said he'd run out of CLAMS. Either he was lying or someone else who bought in low was taking profits. CLAMS had the biggest price swings of any coin yesterday, and that could have drawn speculators to the market looking for a fast profit.

Re: New Litecoin Golden Age?
by

Litecoin has recovered from the halving, but it's seen it's glory days.
In terms of trading it's right up there but it's past it's prime. Eyes have certainly averted from the litecoin markets to newer (and mostly pump 'n dumpos) coins. I don't think litecoin will enter any golden age personally.

It's still up at the top, but it's been stable-ish in price since the pump and dump, which was probably due to the Chinese ponzi scheme. Does anyone know if the ponzi scheme has collapsed yet? I thought it must have when Litecoin crashed, but the crash might have been due to people taking profits rather than the ponzi collapsing.

If the ponzi's still running I think Litecoin will crash when the ponzi ends.

Re: POLL: What is the reason hard forks require broad consensus?
by
sx100
on 19/11/2015, 19:44:41 UTC
........

Without reaching supermajority, multiple competing blockchains can cause a loss of confidence, insecure network due to miners splitting to other chains, confirmation issues, and will in general be bad. This is why any code that involves any sort of fork, contentious or not, requires a supermajority before the node begins to enforce the new rules.

Is there any code change in a hard fork that prevents miners from continuing to mine the old chain, like changing the magic bytes, or changing the version number and adding code that blocks nodes running an earlier version number?

I remember some cut and paste alt devs didn't change the magic bytes when they changed an old coin's code into their new coin's code. There were sync problems, and people said the new coin was trying to connect to the old coin's network because they both had the same magic bytes.

What happened to the bitcoin we know and love? Even though the chart looks parabolic, the move is tiny! Tongue

I've been trying to catch a dip on LTC for a day now to no avail. Thing just keeps running...

the min you catch such a dip you know your DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMED

buy BTC or die

your choice

Chasing a pump is sometimes chasing a dump, particularly with litecoin.

 Cheesy

this is a bug.... or something.

Wish it was my ltc that sold at that price!  Finally a little movement for BTC though after being so flat for what seemed like forever

Did he buy a whole litecoin at that price or one liteoshi? It's probably a cheap trick to try to pump the price up further.

why bitcoin rise?   Huh

any idea?

It might be because of Greece threatening to default and a Grexit. All the stocks are falling because of it and people are putting their money into gold and other safe havens. Perhaps some of that money from selling stocks is flowing into Bitcoin.

So here we go?

Bitcoin surges as Grexit worries mount, posts best run in 18 months

http://www.cnbc.com/id/102763842

Indeed, it seems it's turn for the Greek now. This is Cyprus 2.0 all over again. If only they know better and fully adopted Bitcoin instead of trying to fight an already lost war, they would get somewhere, but they will keep failing into the same traps. Unfortunately politicians are too moronic when it comes to BTC. I hope that at least it serves well for individuals trying to keep their wealth away from the up and coming total freezing of financial assets.

Today an announcement was posted of the first Bitcoin ATM in Greece in the Greek section of bitcointalk. It should help individuals buy Bitcoins in case of the total freezing of financial assets. I guess it's going to get a lot of business very quickly.

Here is a Google translation of it.

The fact is, the first Bitcoin ATM is located in Greece, namely in Athens and in a few days will operate normally. The exact location will be announced when the site will be operational.
