Scary part is there is still 3620 in the cold wallet. No one is getting their BTC out it seems... I feel really bad for the people who didn't see this until now. Can anyone verify a recent (past hour) withdrawal? (I doubt it).

Looks like we're gonna have a Mark Karpeles style leak in the cold wallet soon.  Undecided

My withdrawal went through less than an hour ago.

No clue, I just tried to sell one of mine and got the same error message someone else did. And I know I did it right because I have changed my address with pyra via the same signature method.

This really needs to be fixed!

I tried to sell two of my accounts today and did not succeed in either case.  I got an error message saying that I tried to change something I did not have access to.

I signed my withdrawal address using my Blockchain.info wallet and I think I followed the instructions correctly.  Anybody else have problems recently?

/edit:

Here is the error message:

The change you wanted was rejected.
Maybe you tried to change something you didn't have access to.

Whats up with the "small hole"?
Bigger than suspected...

I think the main problem is probably that p2pool has been having terrible luck:

Pool Hashrate: 195 TH/s Estimated Time to Block: 1d6h35m Current Round: 4d20h3m

P2Pool has not found a block in over 3 days.  I used to think pyramining's payouts from P2Pool went to this address:

http://blockchain.info/address/1CzLSNz7V6EufECrjvMXBiVo8Tu7z3XgkF

but I am not sure about that any more.

Kraken has done well by me so far.

Last month I made two SEPA transfers in, bought bitcoins and moved them out to my own wallet.

Last week I moved bitcoins in, sold them on Friday and initiated a SEPA transfer that showed up in my account on Monday.  All good!

Difficulty just jumped again:

Break even:   ~ 149 months
Complete reward:   ~ 164 months
Current infrastructure:   267.77 MH/BTC
New infrastructure:   ~ 2857.14 MH/BTC
And it will rise again and again. At this moment it looks pretty bad. Possibly we will never see our investments.

I agree, and I have even mentally started to discount the value of my Pyramining investment to zero.  It is sad, because I fully believe that pyramining himself has done everything he could to make this venture a success.

Perhaps this article is cause for little bit of optimism?  It makes a lot of sense to me...

http://codinginmysleep.com/is-asic-mining-unprofitable-depends/

Pyramining has stated that he still has some cards play in the form of new investments that he is willing to make for the benefit of all account holders.  The question is, when will difficulty plateau? Will it fall after it reaches a peak as high-cost miners quit mining?  Will Pyramining be a low-enough-cost miner to remain profitable and get over the peak?  And, how long will 1st generation ASICs be the dominant technology?

If I signed up to a site that says I am suppose to get X returned + Y% and it doesn't deliver on that promise then it is a scam, and I am in the position to say that, cause most people would agree with it.

Most people will not agree with it.

Pyramining never said you would get X + Y%.  He said you would get mining hardware that was expected to generate X + Y% under the business model that he explained as clearly as he possibly could.  Nobody has been scammed if they don't get paid X + Y%.  Not early investors, not late investors, not anybody.

oh crap!
Break even:   ~ 114 months

 Undecided Cry Shocked Sad

Pyramining, how close are we to being unprofitable?

I guess electricity purchased with Euros doesn't cost many bitcoins, but I am worried that we are close to the point where it doesn't make sense to run our hardware anymore...

Are the FPGAs still profitable to run?  I cannot imagine that they are.

I also have some personal funds that I want to invest into Pyramining. Actually I could buy ~2.5TH/s more, but I think it wouldn't make sense right now: we would add too little hashing power with current technology. What I have in mind is to wait for the 2nd gen ASICs to be available and invest with it, for the benefit of everyone. By that time I expect that difficulty will start to stabilize. I expect it would be around February 2014. I'd like to know your opinion about this.

Good to have you back, and good to hear that you are fully committed to the project.  I agree that adding another 2.5TH/s doesn't make sense right now.  We need better, more efficient technology to get ahead of the curve a bit if we are going to be able to pay off past deposits.

Mining is getting a bad name as an investment right now, and I think the pace of difficulty increases will have to slow down eventually.  It might not happen soon, but I think the best strategy is to start investing in new tech when everyone else stops investing.

The big jump in difficulty was not kind to our investment:

Quote from: Pyramining website
Investing in Pyramining is indeed very profitable: the complete reward is estimated to be reached in less than 96 months.

Things are looking bleak.
