.048 kw/h, 20,000 Watts

total Rigs plus all cooler fans (not visible on the photos) for ventilation, it's consume around 110 Amp.
sorry planet, take one for the team.

You do realize that 20,000W > 110A on a standard 120V line?

Do the sockets in that picture look like standard 120v plugs?

Nothing new by any means, but this is 1 of my 3 Litecoin rigs that all share the same format. Other 2 live in the roof, this one in the dining room as (IMO) its quite nicely presented, (relatively) quiet and is cable-less aside from the power cable thanks to a £10 Wireless-N USB adapter, so nobody in the house minds having it around.

It does a good job of holding the downstairs of the house at a pretty consistent temperature and is currently being put to good use help dry my laundry a bit faster than normal  Grin

This one cools fine with 3 fans (mostly down to the undervolting and larger air space), the other two rigs have between 4 - 6 extra 120mm fans sitting on top of the cards to stop them from overheating as the insulation in the roof is a bit too efficient to let enough heat out... They have a mix of Gigabyte WF3's with undervolted BIOS and standard MSI cards.

I want to like Overclockers UK as they have a good selection of PC parts that are hard to find elsewhere, although I've shopped with them for about 3 years and its just been one customer service disaster after another. I spent close to £2500 on GPU mining hardware last year and they shipped out wrong cards (Nvidia instead of AMD?!) on two occasions I had to return, I've RMA'd cards and been sent back completely different manufacturer B Stock models with no explanation and told that I can only keep it and deal with it or return it at my own expense for partial credit etc. Their website system of contact is a nightmare, I've tried to complain to management 3 times about my last issue and it keeps going through to another department that says they can't deal with it and I have to resubmit it..

I'm done with them, I've given them 5 or more chances to sort their shit out and they still fuck it up every time. I don't care if they're the only source of something in the UK, I'd rather not have it than buy it from them.

Use a different exchange until they sort themselves out (when, if ever, is anybody's guess). If enough people do this then they might take a bit more notice.

For DOGE I use Vircurex.

Re: Running MSI Radeon HD 7990's

7990 is terrible for mining. Overpriced and major heat dissipation issues. Dont bother getting into to the game with anything less than the new r9 series, they are way cooler and a bit more efficient than the venerable 7950.

They could be had for a while at a great price working out cheaper than a 7950 per core. Undervolted and slightly underclocked they can produce 630kh/s per core at 70C - 75C for under 400W. No complaints here.

Can CAT be easily modified to trade in on btc-e or bitstamp as well? With the current problematic issues on cryptsy, its a loss just to run this program on cryptsy.

I would be interested in BAT too. What you say Luca, can you do it ?

If site owner have the same API yes, in 1 day i will be able to run CAT, but no one have equals Cryptsy API  Embarrassed

+1 to porting it to another exchange, it seems like a great program but I've not really been able to put it to use as the balance and server issues on cryptsy just cause it to grind to a stop shortly after i set it running..

btc-e would be great, never had any reliability issues making trades over there.

Didn't realize there was another topic, haven't checked in on it for a while. My mistake. Thanks
And the three news items on bitfunder Wink
https://bitfunder.com/asset/ADDICTION#pane_news

For the short version:
Quote
Important note regarding bitfunder
As from this week we will not payout any dividends on Bitfunder anymore! Reason for this is twofold:
- People are still experiencing issues getting btc out of bitfunder through weex
- We want to finalize the transfer to direct shares

If you still have direct shares please transfer them to direct shares (see below) OR send us a PM / email to confirm that the payout address in bitfunder is correct. As soon as you've done either, we'll payout the dividends still owed. We will send these out in batches though, so don't expect instant payment Wink

Also please do not transfer shares in bitfunder to another person without letting us know! We cannot guarantee dividend payments will go well if you do that.

Once again the transfer process:

Transfer your shares to the ADDICTION accountname on bitfunder and send an email to p2poolnl@gmail.com containing:
- Your bitfunder name
- The number of shares transferred
- The BTC address you want to use for payouts. Make sure you use an address you actually own and can sign messages with!

Thanks, just sent email. I'd forgotten about the shares, checked up on them now and discovered this mess with Bitfunder! Oh well. Still need to figure out how to get my stuck BTC out, WeExchange is definitely broken..

Any Info with what is going on here?

Bitfunder closing, no dividend payments since 10th November, no e-mails regarding the situation.

What is happening to our shares and where are the payments?

you may want to check the ADDICTION topic

As a follow up to this, thanks for the payment. Nice site, stable servers with very low rejects.

I had to go back to mining at Liteguardian though as the cgminer stats monitoring function is invaluable to me to keep track of exactly what is going on with my miners from the site, without having to log in to each one individually. Maybe something you could look to offer from your site, it is a very useful function.

I'm down to 2.5MH at the moment as it appears one of my housemates has decided to unplug the wireless router..  Angry

Luckily the other is cabled on a different switch.

Will fix this evening when I get home.

Any follow up on this?

With the poor state of alts and the incoming winter utility price hikes, my GPU rigs are going to go into negative running costs unless I find a way to cut my electricity bill down..  Sad (other than switching them off!).

I've had issues solo mining via a Windows client with multiple machines as well, just FYI. 2 machines was fine...but beyond that things would jam up. Could have been an easy fix (I'm not sure)...but I just tossed everything in an Ubuntu VM instead and haven't had an issue since.

Its already been concluded by the resident thread experts that it is not possible for there to be something up with the windows client. It's your hardware at fault Roll Eyes

Kriwest and Symzzi are known scammers.  beware.

I don't know about any of their scams, but they sure don't seem to listen very well, or use much logic.

This completely baseless accusation comes from where exactly?

I'm not new to mining, I'd hope by now I know how to set up, tune and troubleshoot a stable mining rig. You still have not put forward a valid reason as to how you believe a rig that can pool mine a coin indefinitely suddenly develops these suspected hardware instabilities from solo-mining the exact same coin.

Anyway, after trawling way back in this thread here's another chap with what appears to be a very similar issue:

wow, I just solo mined a diff 350 block!

[2013-08-07 13:05:59] Accepted 000000c3 Diff 21.9M/309191 BLOCK! GPU 1

awesomesauce

Nice what's your hash rate that you are solo mining?

8Mh/s

Dr Kimoto, here's what I'm getting from one of my miners after a few hours mining against the qt client:

You can see it's intermittent. Restarting the miner has no effect. Only restarting the qt client. megacoind has the same issue iirc.

I'm running four cgminer instances plus one perl script polling stats every five minutes.
(note: when the four miners are connected, the qt-client refuses the perl connection for stats (times out))

I do not have this issue with other coin qt clients.

Please look into it if you can.

Thanks

I'm done losing uptime over it, I'll just stay in a pool, but instead of being told I'm wrong I thought someone might be interested enough to look into it.
