The odds payout for the match between India and Bahrain set by bookmakers is really confusing me, as India have managed to beat Thailand with an amazing scoreline of 4-1, and Thailand won their last match against Bahrain with the final score of 1-0 in this tournament, but the bookmakers are favoring Bahrain to beat India today as the odds payout for India to win the match in full time is @3.95, I guess I will just skip betting on this match today as it might be a trap to lure gamblers to place their bets on India to win the match with the high attractive odds payout.

I think that 4-1 score was still a huge anomaly. India isn't a good footballing team, cricket is still their thing, and that was a Thai team instructed to defend, when all they've been training to do is attack and press and harry. They showed they can win properly, as demonstrated by the 1-0 upset against Bahrain.

Still, you could be right, this group is strange and we could still see upsets from Thailand against UAE (but I am thinking the gulf state will win)... but I don't see how India can even hold Bahrain... they couldn't beat Thailand but they overpower India in every aspect... attack, defence, physicality.

India deserves better than to have crashed out after the group stages. I particularly enjoyed their first game and it was a spirited performance from the young lads and looking at this group I think they should have qualified along side UAE.

Coutinho was desperate for the transfer, he got it so he can’t moan about being on the bench too much. He needs to improve.

I bet he wishes he stayed at LFC now though, he missed a CL final by moving & a title race now.

That's unfair!
Coutinho was starting pretty well and was an important until he got injured and was out for about 2-3 weeks, Then he was being slotted back into match squad gradually(for 3 matches) as expected and has played for full time in the last two games.

Barcelona will not bench an excellent player like courinho for nothing and so if he finds himself on the bench then it means a better player is playing and he ought to improve to get his place back. It's a healthy competition for me and he should take it in good faith and work harder.

I heard rumors that Ramsey agree to join Juventus, and the announvement will be made after the supercup vs Milan.
Yes, consider that an almost done deal. Many reliable Italian sources have confirmed it as finished and considering past Juventus acquisitions for players whose contracts are expiring I think he is set to become a new Juve player starting from next season.
I think that's bad news for me, I like Rambo when he plays. Juventus have ensured that next season after the contract ends Ramsey will move to Juventus.

He will be a good inclusion to the Juventus setup but at this stage it remains a speculation at best and we are in mid season so lets wait and see what will happen t the end of the season, maybe other teams might show up to express their interest.

Nobody ever promised Bitcoin as a solution to wealth imbalance. It doesn't solve that problem. The problem Bitcoin solves is transferring money quickly and cheaply anywhere in the world and, also, providing a cryptographically secure store of wealth that a government can't arbitrarily rob.

The OP might be right that we the little purse holders are the 15% but it doesn't change anything as there are a lot of fiats distributed among a privileged few who have managed over some time through their business and influence to accumulate them.

i have checked my wallet and found payment of 0.00000546 BTC from address i don't know 1ViViGLEawN27xRzGrEhhYPQrZiTKvKLo.
first time i receive something like this  Cheesy.
i did some google search ,turned out a site with name vivigle who sent it , i don't care if this just advertising , it's funny  ,

I say this is no joke. Because they will not send the amount of BTC without knowing your BTC address. So, I want you to recall that. You may have participated in an airdrop campaign that was paid for with BTC.
That's right maybe the OP didn't notice at his past activities that he partake an activity in that site or registered to that site and be part of their white list to received a payment like BTC.

Well I wouldn't also doubt the OP's memory retentiveness because he couldn't just forgot to be expecting some Bitcoin especially of such a small magnitude and be wondering so I think it could have been a mistake and the sender Probably was sending to a bunch of people and mistakenly included his address.

You aren't the only person to be like that OP there are many individuals I know that gambles just for fun. For so how many years now still they enjoy gambling. Gambling for others would like an addiction but to some individuals I.know gambling is just for fun becauae they had alwaya thought of their priorities like their families first.
Yes, most of them gamble just for fun, but my top priority in gambling is profit, if the winnings I can get in gambling, then the real pleasure becomes more increased for me, it's hard to declare fun in gambling at the beginning because we will become more depressed when you have lost at the start.

I think those that gamble for fun just have some money to blow unlike the ones that gamble because they expect to win something. I have never intended to gamble for fun even though it turns out fun sometimes but my sole motive has been to beat the house or my pals to the price money and that's my benefit from gambling.

Re: Does hard work in gambling count?
by

on 04/01/2019, 14:08:13 UTC
Hardwork for what? Hacking the system? I guess it is just applicable to online sites or other electronic based games which includes machines or program. Card game can somehow be predicted knowing it has a limited numbers existed. But games like roulete and other lucky games cannot be hacked even you work hard for it so it doesnt makes sense.
I don't know anyone can hack the gambling sites or not?

But if they can then they can be one of the richest people in this wrold so I believe any kind of online gambling sites cannot be hackable.

This depends on the gambling site we are talking about.

There are a lot of gambling sites online and some of them are trusted by a lot of gamblers all over the world. I know you know there are a lot of times that gambling sites and exchange are hacked and that means they can be though not all of them. I am saying this depends since there are times that gambling sites and this exchanges are vulnerable and hackers can find a way or maybe a small hole to get into to hack their sites. That is the reason a lot of sites are being careful to what they are doing especially this gambling sites and exchanges.

Yes hard works will always very important but more than hard works we need smart work also and if you do only hard work you will be very tired in one place but when you made smartworks it will be very good to manage the hard work also that's why hard work and smartwork both are important for any job.

When it comes to poker and sports betting to some extent then we can say hard work can pay off sometimes but most gambling games are luck-based and with them you cannot work hard or work at all to earn or profit from your hard work because the outcome is solely a gamble.

Re: 2019 mens Australian Open (tennis) betting odds

Djokovic 2.30
Federer 8.00
Nadal 8.20
Zverev 9.50

Tempted to place a bet on Zverev, nice odds, I believe Federer is done physically, same for Nadal (will too rusty at least), while the favorite is Djokovic I think it's time for Zverev to step up and go far, maybe capitalize on an early crash for Nadal or Federer.

Zverev won the ATP finals while he was at odds 20 before the tournament, it's time to back him to win a slam.

Any constructive opinion welcome.

Zverev maybe young and athletic but Djokovic will still dominate him. Even with lower odds, it best to pick Djokovic to win the championship. Yet, if I'm going to bet play by play, I would bet for Federer coz he still has the talent even without the gas.
To be fair Roger Federer played fantastic today for his first match of the season (won 6-1, 6-1 to Cameron Norrie, it was an exhibition but players usually are serious when playing the Hopman Cup). But my concern still remains his fitness.

Novak Djokovic was great too in Abu Dabi, one thing is for sure, no way Roger Federer will win if he eventually bumps into Novak Djokovic. He will need to avoid it to win the title.

No, Federer should not avoid Djokovic but defeat him instead to win the title. I know it's hard for him to defeat Djokovic but we will never know until they meet in the court. Federer might have aged but Djokovic also has issues with his injuries.

I still believe age cannot hold Roger Federer down when he is in the mood, Djokovic and all the other guys are no match for Federer in his hay days and i trust him to beat off competition from these guys and even extend his record in Australia this season.

Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A)
by

on 04/01/2019, 13:54:54 UTC
Been reading news regarding a potential swap between AC Milan's Gonzalo Higuain for Chelsea's Alvaro Morata. Things are heating up ever since Milan's sporting director is considering not to trigger the 36 Million Euro buy option for Higuain in his contract with Juventus because of his recent form. Chelsea is on the same page as Alvaro Morata is under-performing in England and is expected to be swap out for Higuain there are no official talks yet but during last year's transfer window Morata came close to signing with Milan but it fell through.

The swap regarding these two has been going on for quiet a long time now, I feel it's a good decision if it were to happen. Alvaro has already played in Italian league and he was quite good there he'll help Ac Milan score many goals. As for Higuain he'll be happy to play in a new league, and with the players Chelsea have including Pulsic he shall definitely be a hit there. I hope Ac Milan invest in a new coach and makes sensible transfers, if they wish to compete going ahead.

AC Milan definitely needs a serious rebuilding and a world class manager because the Italian league is now all Juventus and there is the need for competition and there isn't a better team who could challenge the old ladies of Italy than AC Milan and they better back up and give the fans and the league what it deserves.

Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL)

on 04/01/2019, 13:51:26 UTC
It was good game to watch. Looked like City were controlling the game but that was the case against Chelsea as well, and we saw the result there. Liverpool had their chances  and this could easily gone both ways. I don't like the Liverpool starting midfield line, most of the times they haven't put any effort of making the attacks. City did some pressing it let to many wrong long passes by Liverpool and City gaining the ball again fast.
The Etihad stadium was able to provide strong confidence in the Manchester City team, even Manchester City was able to give satisfaction because it could lead ahead of the first goal given by Sergio Aguero in the first round. however, the attack given by Liverpool in the 17th minute was very tense because it almost scored earlier if it was not thwarted by the goalpost. but until the match is over Manchester City can win the match and have an additional 3 points and success gets back to second place in the standings

I believe the league is still open to fight for now that the points have been bridged to 4 points and there are plenty of games to play. I think Liverpool look fantastic even in defeat and should they continue like this it will be difficult for the other teams to claim the title this season.

Very reliable media outlets in Italy report today that Ramsey to Juve is a done deal! He will sign a contract until 2024 with €6.5 Million a year. The English media report that nothing has been signed yet but there is apparently a gentleman's agreement.

Dybala VS. Mbappe ?
Mbappe has shown more than Dybala, that is true + he is a World Champion.

I don't think Dybala would have been a bad player at all if he was put on the french team that won the world cup. If Dybala was playing the the french league one and not Italy he sure will be bagging 50+ goals a season like Messi and Ronaldo i reckon.

Re: Floyd Mayweather set for New Year's Eve fight in Japan
by

Even its just an exhibition match its clear that whose gonna win thats why theres no bookmakers do able to give betting on such fight. From the weight alone its already a big advantage to Mayweather.
The only thing that do piss me is the introduction of that Jap guy where he believes that he can able to cope up with enemy but even on few seconds from the start he do already struggles and been knocked out for how many times.
I never thought or checked this one my self if indeed theres any odds set by bookmakers for this fight, if there is I guess it will surely by in favor of Floyd. Everything is on his advantage. The only advantage that Tenhsin have is he is fighting in his own country and thats it. Age, Height, Reach, Weigh and Experience is all in favor to Floyd.

I think Floyd Mayweather should be fighting boxers and not these guys from other sports, He totally outclassed this dude and it's better he looks for those who can punch him back really hard to test his strength rather than make cool monies off these guys. His fights are now getting boring by the day

Re: What's the real price?

Currently we have BTC at $ 3,730 on cryptocompare (https://www.cryptocompare.com/)
And BTC at $3,674 on preev (http://preev.com/)

Which one is the most reliable? An average of the prices?

I believe finding the average is the best way out here because many exchanges put out differing prices and its the reason why arbitrage investors make their money, some exchanges tend to reduce their price a little bit to attract investors and so in order to look competitive we will not have a fixed price of bitcoin so just average them and have a fair idea.

Re: Bitcoin with real gold

Bitcoin exist as both a currency and a commodity and it's commodity features compare to gold just that bitcoin is extremely volatile unlike the relatively more stable gold which is why many prefer to invest in gold than bitcoin. As a currency i think bitcoin far outweighs gold because it can be used to move assets to every part of the world without government censorship but in order to transport just a kilogram of gold one has to go through documentation upon documentation and licensing and pay several taxes,.

I bet it's going to be an article that is just going to get published as simple as that. I really hope that US will start the huge adoption to make 2019 a good year start for bitcoin to be glorious again.

I hope so too, there is the need  for mass adoption in this new year as bitcoin celebrates it's tenth year in existence but it's got to take some effort from all of us to try and spread good news about bitcoin in our respective sphere's of contact.

Re: What does it mean to buy on the Dip?
by
szpalata
on 04/01/2019, 12:46:44 UTC
Buying at the dip simply means purchasing cryptocurrencies when they reduce in price. For instance bitcoin is at a very low price and this has affected the entire crypto market. You will make huge income when the crypto market starts to rise.

Absolutely agree, but you don't always make huge income after a dip. The key is in identifying the right lows (Dips) of a crypto-currency so that you can take advantage and buy but this  is not always easy because what one might think is a low could dip further and further down and create losses instead of profit

Re: Perspective about HODL.
by

on 04/01/2019, 12:34:51 UTC
Hodl strategy doesn't always work with every coin. We should only hold good coins that are worth holding like BTC, ETH. Holding shitcoins that are worthless will lead us to heavy losses.

Its true, different coin should be different strategy because have different fundamental. Hodling strategy only can implemented in good coin with big daily volume transaction and already have working product. Many altcoin in market are pump and dump coin and its not worth to hold for long term.

I couldn't agree more, there are many coins that are just not going to make it; you can tell from the onset and so holding them is not going to end well that is why one ought to invest in the right coins especially the ones with reputable developers and proper working product.

Re: Bitcoin as a better store of value than gold
by
szpalata
on 04/01/2019, 12:29:31 UTC
Bitcoin and gold have advantages and disadvantages, but both are assets that deserve to be owned. Bitcoin with a high value and you can use it wisely will bring good luck. Gold has physical and real but is prone to crime, each individual can have it according to their wishes and gold assets are stable.

I think they both have their pros and cons and it's purely has to do with our personal choices, a tech-savvy dude might prefer bitcoin over gold and whereas our older generation folks wouldn't trade their gold collection for anything but all in all they both store value and can be profitable in the future if you take the appropriate steps to keep them.

I am even surprised you are putting this out here, since you've got a fine job with IBM then why don't you keep saving your income until you become a millionaire or until you find a clear cut lead in bitcoin or cryptocurrencies that can help you double up your money? At the moment i wouldn't advice you to invest it into cryptocurrencies unless you can afford to loose the money else then keep it in the bank or learn to trade with it.

Re: why are you afraid of buying bitcoin?
by
szpalata
on 04/01/2019, 12:15:43 UTC
Well, mostly people will say, it is because of the bad shape of the crypto market. They are not sure if it will keep going or it will just keep on crushing. But what is important is that there are still a lots of people that are keep on using and holding Bitcoin crypto currency.

Bitcoin has been volatile since it's inception and because it's unpredictable especially after a poor year 2018. i think it's normal to think twice before investing in it. It's different with the early adopters who are holding and have been enriched  over the years but as a newbie i understand all the fears because you can buy it at a huge price today and loose big tomorrow.
