Re: Armory 0.93 testing release! (with 0.05 BTC bug bounty)

Bug:

0.92.99.6 on win7-64
Transactions tab, My wallets filter, lots of TXs shown sorted by date desc.

Clicking column headers doesn't change sort order any more (it used to in 0.9.3, at least for the date and Amount columns).

I would really like to sort and filter (two different things) by bitcoins sent/bitcoins received. Sorting is a bug, filtering is a change request (I think).

Display bug:

0.92.99.6 on win7-64

Two watching-only wallets loaded (upgraded from 0.9.3).

Transactions tab, My Wallets filter: No transactions are shown
In previous release version I saw TXs from both wallets in this view. If I choose only one wallet I see the TXs.

On closer examination it seems as if the upgrade from 0.9.3 has lost the info that both wallets are mine so it might not actually be a display bug but some config info/metadata that went missing (I deleted the old DB when asked to).

Any bug bounties or donations welcome to 12aixCHSZcnNyEqhCJqnp5fhbaSjqJ6Fy2 Smiley

Minor bug:
Looking at the Transaction Info window for a random tx, see the
'Some outputs might be "change." Click for more info'
I clicked the link which leads to https://bitcoinarmory.com/all-about-change which is "Page not found We're sorry, but the page you requested is not found."

About the NiceHash Giveaway Promotion:

Will we get one "lottery ticket" for the prize draw per 0.0453 BTC volume?

Or do I have to mine to a new address per 0.0453 BTC volume to maximise my winning chances?

I'd rather not have to script that but I'm sure someone will...

Westhash is one of the worst stunts ever.
Close it now and stop beng silly.

Yes, Nicehash needs more servers to better handle higher loads. Yes, Nicehash needs geographically disperse stratums. What it doesn't need is a competing service called westhash.

Get your shit together, this is not how you do it.

Yes betarigs has issues today. I've used them since january and they have always cleared up issues and been pretty fair. I recommend you send tickets and it will be sorted promptly, usually within 24 hours. No, I'm not affiliated with betarigs but I do use them to lease my rigs. Cool

Is diff broken? My 88mh scrypt asic is very unhappy at d=512, I tried -p d=1024 to test but I only get 512. I should be at 32k according to the faq?

Help with setting 6750 13.12 drivers constantly HW  Sad
Unfortunately, still no progress with 5xxx/6xxx cards.

My 5970 works great with the windows build posted today at 2*1.8Mh, awesome speed for an ancient card.

I have a 6950 also doing 1.74Mh happily.

New release. No speed updates in this release. Github sources as always here: https://github.com/lasybear/sph-sgminer_x11mod
Changes:
  • Total uptime in first string
  • Gpu sets idle, if all pools dead. Tried to unplug internet cable and gpu set to idle state, clocks dropped. Share your results about this feature.
  • show-coindiff option from cgminer-3.7.2-kalroth added. Description: Option to show coin/network difficulty instead of hash value. --show-coindiff or "show-coindiff" : true, can now be used to show the coin/network difficulty in accepted or rejected messages. This is only relevant for coin switching pools and it is off by default.

Link for windows binaries: https://www.dropbox.com/s/vtj5z5e56jc8wh7/sgminer_x11x13mod_30_05_2014.zip

Thx platinum4 for his ideas, and lasybear for his free miner.

Awesome work everyone! This hashes grrrrreat on my 290 AND on my 5970 in the same rig.
The crappy reference 290 with elpida memory gets 3.600 Mh +- 0.020
The 5970 (my favourite card) gets 2*1.798, pretty much exactly the same as the 290. Goes to show you can still be useful even if you've been replaced by several generations!

If I were to wish for any more features it would be pool naming as in Kalroth's cgminer. With it you can (in the pool section of the config file) use
Code:
"name" : "coinking X11",
and instead of referring to it as "Pool 0" the miner uses the name. Purely cosmetic but handy.

Three cheers for all you brilliant devs! Thank you!

I am still trying stuff with this... thing. The only thing I notice is that once, just once I ran setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100 and setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1.

I do not get the message anymore that they are not set. Not even after a full reboot. Is there any way to 'unset' this ?

Seems that this version is not optimised for HD58** and HD59** series.
I have 4 gpu rig that has 5300Mh/s with regular miner
but with this version instead to get more Mh/s i got just half of that, about 2000 Mh/s.
Changed everything in config file, tried with just a bat file, but no success.
Anyone has a clue ?

drivers v13.2
haven't tried with 14.4 yet, it will make a difference ?

I have this exact same problem.
My 5970 runs at 2*1.687Mh/s on the last version in this thread which is locked at I 15. With it my 290 only gets 2.7Mh.
When I tried the newer version with unlocked I my 290 increased to 3.4 but the 5970 drops to 2*200Kh, losing me almost 3Mh total.

I would really appreciate it if someone could fix this?

7970 flashed to 280X

Elun/all: thanks for the great work.

The latest version really helped for my 290 but my 5970 (2 gpu) went from 2*1.687Mh to 2*150Kh which more than lost out the gains on my 290. Is it possible to fix this? Same config, I tried a few tweaks, also running the 5970 at I 19 with no luck.

Use new bat file from folder

I'm using the run.bat that came with the download. The missing library isn't in the dlls folder either.

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/326922

"or Msvcr70.dll or for Msvcr71.dll, you should install the CRT DLL into your application program files directory. You should not install these files into the Windows system directories. For Msvcr80.dll and for Msvcr90.dll, you should install the CRT as Windows side-by-side assemblies."

I also noticed windows is not up to date so I'm installing a bunch of stuff there in case it's that. win 7 64 in case it matters.

I tried the mingw version and it works on one box with 2 5xxx cards but no hashrate increase.

On my box with 2 280X the cygwin version works but doesn't show fans/temp. The mingw version gives an error about missing msvcr71.dll. Copying it over from the first box just leads to other missing dll errors. Do I need a library download?

Re: Compare pools: MiddleCoin/CleverMining/HashCows/WafflePool/Hashbros
by
t00tie

Does the balancing feature work properly? I have tried it a few times with only 2 pools, and every time like 80% of my hashrate was going to pool 1, and 20% to the other pool, sometimes flipping around. In the end the hashrate was absolutely not balanced.

Maybe it would be better to really start a separate instance of cgminer for each pool?

I have the exact same problem. All work goes to the first pool and the others see lots of discarded. From irc:

12:02:39 - t00tie: Does anyone know how to mitigate "Discarded work due to new blocks: 42"? I can't get load-balance to work properly on pools with different difficulty
12:03:01 - kke: load balance on different coins is going to do that always
12:03:41 - kke: cgminer thinks they're the same coin and discards work on all pools when one stratum (even a failover stratum which is disabled) announces a block change
12:05:13 - kke: that's why the test where the dude had 50/50 middlecoin/hashcows was kind of bad
