Re: Is mining still viable on GPUs and CPUs?
by

Tried mining with my GTX 750ti, but the results were ridiculous. Is it the GPU or is the mining on GPUs dead in general?

1. Your card is a bit old it may lead to loss( reward lower than electric bill). If you want to invest in mining you should find some new cards with generate high hash-rate and cost low power. Such as AMD Rx580.
2. GPU mining still be there for the alt coins which was built resist ASIC.
3. https://whattomine.com/coins support the calculator quite accurate you can find you best choice.

Re: How to trade tokens?
by

I am beginner and I need someone guide me to follow Bounty Project. Any one can help me?

1. Wallet: Usually to follow a bounty project. You need to have a wallet to take reward. If you follow a smart contact token bounty. You will need to have a ETH wallet. You can register a wallet here: https://www.myetherwallet.com/

2. Social Facebook/Twitter: You need to have a real account with a number of real friends/followers. Then you share/retweet as the bounty requirements.

3. Bitcointalk:
  - Proof of authentication: You can participate some bounty programs allowing proof of authentication such as this: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3040611.0.
  - Signature: You should find some bounty program allowing minimum rank newbie to participate. Or level up your rank to earn more.

4. Submission form: Don't forget to submit the form to announce the campaign manager know your contribution. They are usually google form or type form.

5. Finally, practice  make perfect. You need to lift your ass to follow some bounty programs then you can learn more from them. As much the bounty you follow as much you can learn.

"How to trade tokens" ==> There're 2 ways:
- Exchange: go to the main website of the token to find the exchange listing that token. Some famouse exchanges:

- Direct trading: Token or coins is just the currency like USD/EURO/AUD.... You can spend/send/receive directly with anyone you trust.

Yes, some good posts are not found, or just discovered by a few people, and then more people did not see, and the author did not get much reward, affecting their enthusiasm, it is necessary to high quality Posts listed to allow more people to see, forming a conscience cycle.

It's usually a forum system work not as wiki storing good final knowledge. If you open the forum then you must give people the right to post thing they want even it's shitty. I'm tired with the off-topic removing even I replied to the topic like just a comment.

By the way, I think merit system is good to sanitize posts. But I personally think it's not too important. The majority newbie people here need high rank level account to participate bounty programs. They can clone accounts to earn a lot quickly and much more than trying to level up their account to legendary level.

I think the people saying mining is dying are only trying to decrease their mining difficulty.

I think the price will only price up when many ppl believe and mine it. So miners should stay together to protect POW and their mining coins.

Re: ETH GPUs miners beware!
by
t1192002
on 13/02/2018, 04:48:13 UTC

By the way, this is a good thing, this will stop retailers selling rx 580 for $1000 and the way things are, soon a rx $580 will be $3000 or even $5000 because there is no stopping to stupidity.

As soon as asics hit equihash and ethash then gpus from $1000 will be sold for $100 and then $50. Gamers will have all the gpus they would ever need or wanted hehe

You got a good point. But how about the miners who invest multi million on GPU rigs. I feel sorry for them. Anyway, I personally prefer anti ASIC Smiley).

Yes it is. With GPU rig you can switch coins to mine easily. You also can mine some anti ASIC coins such as: ETH, ETC, XMR, GRS, FTC, ETN, AEON, ZenCash, BTCZ, DMD, NAV...

Re: Where is hashing algorithm code?
by
t1192002
on 12/02/2018, 12:58:50 UTC
The work which has to be done to find a new block is not directly dependend on the algorithm.
Additionally you can't decrypt anything in this scenario.

Encryption != Hashing [1]

Hashing is a one-way-function.
This means: You can (relatively) easy calculate a hash of any value. But you can't get the original value out of the hash.

When you are trying to find a new block (mining) you are basically calculating hashes until you find one hash that (for example) begins with 10 zeros.
The difficulty adjusts to assure a new block every 10 minutes. You can look at the difficulty as "X zeros have to be at the beginning of the hash".

On average there has to be Y hashes calculated until a valid one is found. Thats basically a "probability-game".
[1] A more detailed explanation: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hash_function

Thanks you so much man. You deserve a like/thumb up. Which I cant find in this forum lol.

Buy:
- From their ICO. https://www.graft.network/ico/
- From miners

Sell: future exchange integration in Q2 2018 according to the Milestones

I noticed GRAFT coin from easyhash pool and it seems very profitable now.
The mainnet is online less than one month.

I read the white paper. And it seems pretty good project. The project is solving the payment issue on the pos (point of sale).
And all the transactions are instant authorisation which is like our visa credit card.

They did not invent new wheel and they achieved this by fork monero + all dash master nodes.

I will switch my hash power to GRAFT now. Grin

Lol me too. But I've just mined for 2 days with my small rig. But the price is set by the team. Its profitable and risky also. Anyway, I prefer the big number than 0.000x like BTC and ETH Smiley).

I tried mining it for a week.  My iOS wallet now has a balance of 19.2 GRF.  A lot of the buttons are grayed out. Can not pay, transfer, or look at transactions. I got the same profit per day as VRM.

Went back to VRM.

They are just in ICO period. Moreover, the IOS app stuck by Apple ban. You should help them a hand by sign in the charge.org link.
