by

i dont blame ppl for wanting to remove the devfee now
when was the last time this software was updated?
if claymore has no intent on maintaining the software he should remove the devfee
that is the point of the devfee unless u think he hasent gotten enough from the 1000s of ppl whove been mining on his software since last year
i dont really even care about it now but when im mining something other than eth solo it would be nice to not have my miners DCing every 55 minutes

The answer is very simple, If you don't agree with the dev fee - don't use this miner.

I can not find it in Ethereum miner. It is for ZCash, but I am making for Ethereum

This is very unethical trying to cheat and remove devfee! If you don't want to pay the devfee just use the "-nofee 1" option!

"-nofee" option is not included in Claymore's Ethereum miner.

Readme!!!.txt for Claymore's Ethereum miner:

This miner is free-to-use, however, current developer fee is 1% for Ethereum-only mining mode (-mode 1) and 2% for dual mining mode (-mode 0), every hour the miner mines for 36 or 72 seconds for developer.
Decred is mined without developer fee.
If you don't agree with the dev fee - don't use this miner.

1. is it better to use claymore or ethminer, what is the difference?
2. if i run the 2 cards in separated computers the fan speed is max 60% if both cards in one systems with 2 extra case fans, the gpu fan of the first card runs hat 95-99% is this normal?
3. at first i used ethminer with coinotron but i can't find how to setup coinotron with claymore, so now i use claymore with minergate but it is not possible to mine ETH with? which pool is the Best?
4. where i can see which coin is today the best to mine?
1. The difference is claymore's is faster and has a 1% devfee. Claymore is the one I prefer.
2. More then likely it's heat related. Fan speed will ramp-up the hotter it gets. Also you can manually control fan speed with software or bios. Claymore's miner allows you to do this with the -tt command.
3. Coinotron is fine: ethdcrminer64.exe -epool coinotron.com:3344 -ewal username.workername -epsw x -esm 2 -mode 1 -allpools 1

Re: PCIe GPU bandwidth

Thanks a million guys!

I've been mining for about four years now, just using three old family computers that were laying around here. Although I am profit conscious, the fun factor is also very attractive to me. If I do build a new rig, it will also double as a family computer.

So if I have this straight, PCI bandwidth isn't much of a factor for GPU mining. Without risers, any x16 PCIe slot running at x16, x8, x4 or even x1 will work.

Thanks for the Biostar suggestion . . .

PCIe GPU bandwidth

Oh Great Ones, I humbly bow before your wisdom and knowledge.

I'm looking for an X99 motherload, I mean motherboard, that will support three GPUs (RX 480s) without risers. If I understand correctly, each GPU will need a working (non-shared) PCIe x16 slot of its own. Two running at x16 and the third one running at x16 or x8. With proper spacing, ventilation and PSU. I will have a 40 lane CPU. So if this info is correct any of these these MOBOs should fit the bill: ?

Re: How to start mining in dgb-sha.theblocksfactory.com
by
tanoury
on 25/06/2016, 00:10:47 UTC
I am new in mining DG Coin, and register in the the blocksfactory, can anyone let me know how to start mining?
You will need an SHA256 Algorithm miner.

1. You need to register at https://dgb-sha.theblocksfactory.com/
2. Input the stratum url stratum.dgb.theblocksfactory.com:9001, yourworkername and workerpassword into your SHA256 miner.
3. Start mining

You need a miner that will mine the correct DGB Algorithm for the DGB pool you are mining at. Normally you can find this info in your pools "Getting Started" page. Here are some examples:

   Algorithm
        -----
DGB   Groestl https://dgb-groestl.theblocksfactory.com/gettingstarted
DGB   Qubit    https://dgb-qubit.theblocksfactory.com/gettingstarted
DGB   Scrypt    YOU NEED A SCRYPT ASIC  MINING DEVICE
DGB   sha256d   YOU NEED A SHA256 ASIC  MINING DEVICE
DGB   Skein    https://dgb-skein.theblocksfactory.com/gettingstarted

Here is the official bitcointalk thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=408268.0

Enjoy!

i keep getting this message when i run
Code:
ethminer -G

please advise  Huh
EDIT: For solo mining you need your Ethereum wallet running and synchronized.

For pool mining you need to specify the HTTP server and port. You also need a worker's name and address.

For pool mining it would look similar to this: ethminer -G -F http://eth-us.dwarfpool.com:80/0x040fc5e5ac72edb8b27dcc19ba56176e2b4fb0ac/ub0
or this: ethminer -G -F http://eth-mine.suprnova.cc:3000/Greased_Lightning.rig1/30

What is the Best Software to use for mining?
You can go here to estimate your profitability and determine the best coin to mine: http://www.coinwarz.com/cryptocurrency

The miner software for the coin that you decide to mine will depend on the coin's Hash Algorithm.

My miners are sending like like normal, but my dwarfpool stats page show MUCH less shares (I mean a LOT MUCH less) than my miners are sending.

I am the only one?  Huh

I'm having the same problem with dwarfpool. It started about 40 minutes ago.

Im looking for a CPU/Linux miner for etherium.
Any miners out there for Linux?
I'm using ethminer version 1.1.0 Build: Linux/g++/JIT/. that came bundled with webthree-umbrella. It works great on ubuntu 14.04

Here is my cpu only command line:

./ethminer -C --allow-opencl-cpu -F http://eth-us.dwarfpool.com:80/040fc5e5ac72edb8b27dcc19ba56176e2b4fb0ac/CPU
