To be honest I think the alt community needs to focus on the coins that can really bring something to the table instead of running to the latest clone thinking it will make them rich. But human nature is such unfortunately.

I'm already only concentrating on coins that I hope to see widely used in future.
We don't need so many new coins. Concentrate on making available coins stronger and it will benefit whole industry.
This pump and dump is not making any good in general.

Yes, finally people are talking & accepting 
Today is the first time in a long time am happy reading this thread, sure eac is down to around 25sat but i do not care about that. Eac should be about trade & reaching new people in my opinion.
For now it is not easy to start quoting because just read a lot of posts that made me smile. Let it go to <10sat so we can shake off the investor & speculators and start talking about building!

Missed your post but maybe i can contribute to the (back-end) service development part. Just know i can't do anything alone and learnt a long time ago that just start to program without direction is a waist of time. Maybe some people with each there own unique skill set can get together and find a quiet internet corner somewhere to start planning and crossing of the needed individual parts.

I'm well ok with something like 5-20 solid coins.
These coins should be enough to be everything that is needed.
So altcoins itself aren't bad but the speed of creation of new ones is ridiculous.
And why every new coin has to be pumped and dumped? Why?
So that those few who already has huge amounts of btc can get even little bit more.
I'm not so sure about Quark as it favors heavily early adopters.
NXT and Quark both seem to have noisy early adopters that are more than willing to sell you some coins.
Althought these coin could be good coins otherwise.

But as long as everyone is running like crazy when new coin is released then why not to make some profit with new coin ones in a week. Someone gets money out and crazy runners must be those who lose.

Normally I keep my mouth shut as I am too busy working on things to chime in on here, and I generally ignore the trolls, but for all of you that are concerned about the devs I do have a few things to say.
I can contact the dev team at will, if needed, and speak with them on skype. I have their personal contact info, and can even show up at their doorsteps and invite myself in for coffee if I chose to do so, which I wouldn't of course, I don't have the time. I'm too busy creating things to be concerned with what they are doing on a daily basis, or how many coins they have. The dev team is security and privacy conscious and won't publicly post their contact details, and I don't blame them. They are real people and they are busy behind the scenes, and with their private lives.
Their real job is to be the stewards of the source code, present a public face with getearthcoin.com, and help with the initial promotion of earthcoin. I think they have done a good job with most of this. If you don't like how they are handling things go to Cryptozark's uservoice site and make a suggestion, they do listen.
There for about a week or two they were busy (mostly with Earthcoin projects) and weren't posting anything on here. I agree that they should have been more active in the community, and sent them a message saying so. As soon as I made the suggestion they came on and gave us an update, and have been posting daily. Yet there are still posts here asking where they are, I don't get it....
As for the premine. The devs have been straight up with me so far, and have compensated me from the premine for my efforts. It is a healthy amount of EAC they have rewarded me with. Considering that Earthazaar.com is there for me to make a profit (it is by no means a charity) they probably shouldn't have sent any to me at all.
So, how about everyone quit being quite so concerned about where the premine is, it is being put to good use, and try to get some things accomplished. (I have a part of the premine if you really need to know
)
I suppose they could post a public ledger of the premine to keep the doubtful satisfied, but I find that I just don't really care....
By the way I could really use more product listings on https://earthazaar.com. Trade is the avenue to increase the value of your Earthcoin, so please get to trading, and post an auction. Thanks

Keep up the good work and don't be concerned about premine reward you got.
There is no better way to spend it than give it to someone like you who creates huge amount of value for Earthcoin right from the beginning.
And if Earthazaar makes you money someday that is fine too.
