[ANN] WoofCoin / New Coin [WOFC] GPU Mining/PoW

WOOF COIN

Since the beginning of the pandemic, pet surrendering rates have increased dramatically around the world. Waitlists for surrendering household pets have increased to a remarkable eight months as animal shelters and welfare organisations have seen an increase of 34% for animals needing help.

Typically, animal shelters are under resourced and under financed; relying heavily on donations and the volunteer efforts to assist animals.

This is where Woof Coin steps in. As avid lovers of dogs, we wanted to make a difference. Using the power of Proof of Work mining, we’ve created a coin where miners are contributing to the donation of money to animal welfare shelters. These shelters initially include the ASPCA who already have a cryptocurrency donation mechanism but with intention to expand to the RSPCA and other organizations suggested by the community.

Our aim is to put animals first and we intend on developing ongoing relationships with pet shelters to help adoption.

Coins Specifications
21 billion supply
Block 2,100,000 halving (4 years estimated)

whats the syntax if I have 1 4gb gpu at index 0 and I want to set a --daglimit option on it. (470 4gb, or is this zombie mode dead for 4gb cards?)

How do i state it so it doesnt apply the dag limit to the rest of the cards.

Why isnt there a Cuda 9.1/9.2 version and you drop down to Cuda 8? This is the only miner out there that has CUDA 8 then jumps to Cuda 10?

I dont have cuda 10 yet and cuda 8 severely degrades my performance.

whats best kernel/bat setup for 470-480s stock bios cards? Is there a strap or rxboost type option like claymore miner has to get these cards up to speed without modding the bios on them?

Anyone witness the odd fluctuation of power usage while mining on whatever choice algo?

I was testing on cryptonight v7 and fast and left open HWinfo monitor for like 45 minutes and power use for example on my 1060 went from 45w all the way up to 140w at MAX with a average of like 59ish. Why such large range of fluctuation? Power usage on MSI after burner also goes up and down from 40% to 110% and has a shark tooth type usage graphing(on all cards as well). Power in MSI is set to 65% TDP.

On Xmr stak mining same it only fluctuates between 25 watts with a average of 69W and goes up to Mid 80W usage MAX. Power usage graph is also more tame and seemingly normal range of fluctuation.

Should I be worried or not? I mined fine for several hours straight with no crashes or errors upon testing.

Couple of questions

I have a old wallet cold storage, saved the wallet.dat file. I can just import that/copy that file over to the new wallet version and be OK right? Or do I need to do something special? Havent touched that one in like 5-6 months.

With the latest wallet version it says Syncing Headers in bottom left corner than stays seemingly stuck at last received block, which was 5 days ago it says. One time I left it like this for a long while and it completed sync but IDK how long that took. Its abnormal to me cause the guncoin wallet would sync so fast usually leave it open and itd complete sync within 3-5 minutes (depending on how far its been since I opened it last)

can a simple "checklist" or bulletpoints be posted as to whats going on and How-To for the new wallet?

If im passed the illegal TX i need to run reindex=1? Whats the illegal TX/block numbers?

I just downloaded and ran the new wallet and let it run for like 10 minutes and its stuck at 99.9% and I was synced to like last 48 hours or so when I got a payout. so its pretty recent/assuming im synced past the glitch with the last version wallet.

Do I have to create the guncoin.conf file and add i reindex=1?

Re: [ANN] FutureBit Project Apollo: Bringing ASIC Mining Back to the Home Miner!

Are these going to be another pumper item/scalped?

Its hard for me to rationalize why these would be usable other than the fact they are 1/5th a L3+. So if you cant manage a L3+ at 800-900 watts for $170-250 with PSU(ebay), you can manage a Apollo for $270 with no PSU and 140MH? at 150-200 watts?

The key to the argument would be how well the Apollo overclocks and electric use there after. If you can get like 180-200MH out of them at like 1MH a Watt power usage then it DOES make sense to me. cause then you could undercut the power usage of a L3+

Whats the Max you can push these is the question?

88-95 sols 29-34watts -equihash
260-280 sols V7 cryptonight at 19-25w

Proper OC/s Low TDP, No 0.05BTC software needed. Grin

The downside is using alot of these cards, are you gonna run 3 750tis or 1 1060? I guess if you have some cheap mobos and you get them for next to nothing and have access to cheap 750s then yeah toss em together. 1 rig of 750tis = couple 1060s? 1 1070?

I was using 2 instances of miners, one for EWBF 144_5 and another for regular equihash on my cards not able of the limit(2gb cards). Both were mining fine but it looked like my other miner stopped for regular equihash as it seemed frozen window wasnt showing accepted shares/hash rates, but it was infact still mining/submitting shares however all that window showed was rejected shares or difficulty switches. Musta been because of the intensity heavy resource use just wasn't updating the window at all.

How hard would it be to do for 144,5 ? is it something you could put out or isnt TOO MUCH of a hassle?

Sort of would make the 2gb still usable for the new algo, or at least for those that go with 144,5

In programming, we are always between two edges: first, performance, and secondly, the use of memory, I mean, more speed - more memory, less speed - less memory. I'll take a look and try to fit into 2 GB.

^^^^^^^^^^

Thanks man, I know theres alot of solid 2gb cards out there that can still mine at lower enough power to make use of them, the only negative is taking up real estate aka 2-3 cards = 1 better card. But hell the price is coming down on them enough still good to use.

LMK any updates appreciate the work.

BTW on my 1060 3gb getting 19-21sols at ~80w average. 144,5 algo. 42-44 intensity.

IS there any tricks to use 2GB cards or are the new equihash algos coming out basically similar to ETH with its 3GB dag file your screwed?

AKA Must use 3gb Vram or higher cards only?

With 144,5 is possible, with 192,7 only with huge performance drop.

Is there a way via command or another outside program to do so?

Testing with 144,5 on a test pool my 2gb cards wouldnt fire and program just pauses/stops. Although when I call via CFG file just to my 3gb card test mining will launch and accept jobs, but as soon as I add a 2gb card to the list of devices it wont even start mining.

LMK and thanks for your work!

No, this requires changing the program code.

Is there a way to encrypt the wallet? usually theres a "encrypt wallet" in options where you can insert a password to use.

Or does it have to be done through the debug window?

We are in the final stages of checking out GUN Core V1.5 and all looks great so far.  Once this testing is complete, we will build all the wallets and release them in later this week ahead of schedule.  GUN Core V1.5 has a LOT of new and exciting features including SEGWIT addressing and multi-wallet capability (within one wallet).  It is VERY fast as well.  Watch for the formal release soon!.

Android wallet? or Coinomi app support coming up too?
