I know. I thought a chrome extension to monitor money sent to any address would be useful. I don't want a wallet recreated in Chrome.

I didn't exactly mean monitor an entire wallet. My phrasing wasn't good.

One can transfer BTC to an address not on the network. Or even on the network. It would be nice if there were a chrome or firefox extension to monitor activity going to any given address (using Block Explorer).

Sorry, I'm a bit of a n00b. Though I do program quite a bit. Couldn't you just query blockexplorer when the user requests it with an address that they input?

This'll help you monitor your BTC if your wallet.dat is on a USB drive without having to plug it in to a computer, decrypt it, and restart Bitcoin.

The bounty is for a chrome extension which monitors the flow going to a particular address. This way you can monitor things like how much you have been paid at a particular address, or how much you have sent to an address without having to use the Bitcoin client.

This might be useful in the case that the wallet.dat which has the keys which correspond to the receiving address is inaccessible.

Thanks for fixing the transaction fee thing. I had something annoying happen to me today.

I tried to send .10 BTC to another computer of mine, and it asked for a .02 transaction fee. I set the fee at .02 and try and send .08 BTC, and it tells me that I need a fee of at least .04 to send it.

Argh! It's moments like that which made Mac OS 9 apologize profusely and disown all responsibility before giving an error report.

I'm thinking we could so something like https://squareup.com/ does. Mag-stripe readers that plug into phones. The client could decode the public and private key encoded in a magstripe, then connect to the bitcoin network to transfer funds.

I think the angel group should promote bitcoin, both online and off, through the collection and donation of bitcoins to causes both related to the currency and not.

The group could help out the lake, too. Maybe we could have two funds, one philanthropic and one investment.

What do you think about a bunch of people getting together to donate a bunch of Bitcoins to a specific Bitcoin related project? We'd vote on which project to support, with a new project each month, and we'd donate coins to that worthy project.

It wouldn't be donated in one lump sum by a group pool. Rather, we would all pledge money on the webpage and, at the end of the month, donate it individually. What do you think?
