The new beta version is finally ready. You can download PhoenixMiner 5.7a from here:

PhoenixMiner_5.7a_Windows.zip (GitHub)
PhoenixMiner_5.7a_Linux.tar.gz (GitHub)

The new features in this release are:

  • Added lock core clock
  • The problem with the missing GPU temperatures on Nvidia GPUs is fixed
  • Added native kernels for AMD RX6700 GPUs. These are faster than the generic kernels and produce a lot less stale shares
  • Increase the max supported DAG epoch to 550 (should be enough to about Jan 2023)
  • Full support for setting clocks, fan speeds, voltages, and memory timings of AMD RX6900/6800/6700 cards
  • The specific hashrate is now shown in the form of kilo hashes per joule (kH/J). Example: if a GPU has hashrate of 30 MH/s with 100W power usage, the specific hashrate is 300 kH/J
  • Added new command-line parameters -ttj and -ttmem, allowing automatic fan speed control based on GPU hotspot (junction), and memory temperatures respectively. Example: -ttmem 83 will keep the GPU memory temperature at or bellow 83C by increasing the fan speed as necessary. These parameters can be combined with -tt, as well as with each other. These options are supported only on AMD GPUs that report junction and memory temperatures
  • Added new command-line parameters -tmaxj and -tmaxmem, allowing to decrease the GPU usage when the GPU hotspot (junction), or GPU memory temperatures are above the specified thresholds. These options are supported only on AMD GPUs that report junction and memory temperatures
  • Added support for AMD Windows drivers 21.3.2, and 21.3.1
  • Added support for AMD Linux drivers 20.50.x. Use this drivers only if you have Polaris or older GPUs, or the latest RX6x000 GPUs. WARNING: Vega, Radeon VII, and Navi GPUs won't work with these drivers!
  • Turn off the zero fan feature on AMD cards whenever a fixed fan speed is used (e.g. -tt -40), or when an auto fan with min fan speed is used (e.g. -tt 63 -minfan 35). To disable this feature, add -fanstop 1 command-line parameter
  • When -mcdag 1 is specified under Linux, the miner will not wait for the daggen.sh script to finish before starting to generate the DAGs. Instead it will for a fixed 7 seconds. This allows you to do all the following in the daggen.sh: turn off the overclocking of Nvidia GPUs, sleep for 30-60 seconds to allow time for DAG generation, and then re-apply the overclocking of the Nvidia GPUs
  • Other small improvements and fixes

The support for -ttj, -ttmem, -tmaxj, and -tmaxmem for Nvidia 3090 and 3080 GPUs is not yet ready for release. We hope to have it ready for the final 5.7 release.

For more robust integrity check, you can use our GPG public key, which was verifyed with ETH transaction from our main devfee account as explained here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2647654.msg56755869#msg56755869.

Please let us know if you have any problems or questions related to PhoenixMiner 5.7a.

Outstanding concept and tokenomics. It's a reminder of BNB ICO for me. That one was also announced on Bitcointalk and has a huge return.

TransitionCoin's project brings simplicity in product design, business model, and mission while offering stratospheric potential for its tokenbuyers.

Please keep it up. Subscribed. I wish last year's ICOs were like this one...

Thank you! We've tried hard to minimize the downside risk while building in a significant return on people's investment in a green burial.

Fortune magazine says there's money to be made in ICO presales.
http://fortune.com/2018/07/10/initial-coin-offering-startups-live-fast-dies-young-icos/

I can't imagine how much money has been raised in ICOs in total.

How much have you guys raised so far?

We are taking indications of interest at https://transitiongreenburials.com/buy-transitioncoins-in-the-pre-sale/ and have not started the KYC/AML and accredited investor checks yet.

KYC is required for all token buyers?

Is this a legal requirement for ICOs now?

Our lawyer said during the presale process and for later direct transactions between us and the first buyer, KYC keeps us out of trouble. For later sales on exchanges between private parties, no KYC and problem.

Do you think in your big marketing campaign after launch you will target more traditional advertising mediums? Billboards in NYC, radio ads, TV, etc.?

We will start with radio and TV interview shows (first big one lined up), be guests on podcasts, and sponsor NPR stations in the cemeteries' areas.

How many people are working on the team currently full time?

After full launch how many do you expect to need?

Two full time now. We'll use a very experienced real estate lawyer and a land use consultant to acquire the land and get the cemetery permits. There will be a full-time manager on each cemetery, with accounting, legal, marketing etc handled by the home office.

At this point I'm only wondering how much the whole process would cost?

The cost of a conventional burial averages $7,000 but can easily escalate to $15,000 or more. Total cremation costs average $6,000. A green burial costs $5,000 today, but we will provide one now or at any time in the future, regardless of how high the cash cost goes, for 4,000 TransitionCoins. They will cost $4,000 in the sale (with a 10% discount if someone buys enough to cover two or more burials). They cost only $2,800 in the presale. We've modeled this out and can provide the service at that price on a permanent basis.

This project is amazing. I am sure if you launched in 2017 you would've raised $50M-100M ICO! I'll be following this, also going to refer it to some friends.

A lot of people have heard about crypto in the past year but people are scared to jump into buying since the crash, even though this is the best time for them to buy in. I definitely think we are bottoming out…. Anyways, great project, makes me excited for crypto again. I'll be a token buyer.

Great, thank you! We've designed the coin to have an intrinsic value that increases over time, matching the increasing cost of burials.

I saw this video and immediately thought of you guys!  http://t.ted.com/z2SS9Rm

If you don't have time to watch I will break it down real quick.

Basically, she wants to use a mushroom burial suit to help decompose bodies in a more environmentally friendly way since the mushrooms are capable of breaking down a lot of the environmental toxins we accumulate throughout our lives.

Yes, the mushroom suit is catching on and will be one of the alternatives for a shroud or biodegradable casket in our cemeteries.

So would this include the costs of the land needed?

Yes, the budget includes the land, infrastructure, legal, and marketing to open the first three cemeteries.

Does this team have experience with this kind of work?

Diana Cunningham has been a grief counselor, and Michael Murphy has completed large real estate projects. Neither has managed a cemetery before, which is why they will start with one and get all the systems in place before opening more.

Is there a minimum amount of tokens required to buy to participate in the presale?
Yes, due to the expense of accredited investor checks there is a $2,000 minimum.

That's not too bad. Will the minimum go up during the main sale or stay the same?

It will not go up.

Honestly, I am sure that cremation is much better than burying a decaying body. I am sure that this is also a concern for the soul. Cremation releases the soul faster. It will no longer be tied to the decomposing body and the process of its ascent will be faster.
We're the first to say each to their own. But cremation wastes a lot of energy and is polluting. Is that the parting eco-statement you really want to make? The "ashes" are really just ground-up bone fragments. I'd rather transition into rose bushes or a tree, maybe a dogwood or Giant Sequoia.

Our Mission

A Green Burial costs about $5,000 today, and the cost is expected to increase in the future TransitionCoin offers a way to reserve an environmentally sensitive Green Burial today or anytime in the future for a fixed fee of $4,000, an immediate 20% savings that could grow much larger as the future cost of Green Burials increases. TransitionCoin is a digital token built on the Ethereum blockchain backed by a smart contract for a real service that is not expected to decline in value.

Abstract

Although the funeral industry is little over 150 years old, it has since acquiesced to market demand for cremation with an average 50% cremation rate of Americans in the 21st century. Conventional cemeteries (and their current “green” plots) continue to bury major sources of pollutants, including landscaping sprays and drift, into the local land, air, and water. However, nearly 66% of adults 40 or older expressed interest in green burial options, up from just 43 percent five years earlier, according to a 2015 Funeral and Memorial Information Council survey.

Every year, 22,500 cemeteries across the United States bury approximately:
              • 30 million board feet of non-biodegradable, preserved-wood caskets
              • 90,272 tons of steel caskets and 2,700 tons of copper and bronze caskets
              • 14,000 tons of steel vaults and 1,636,000 tons of reinforced concrete vaults
              • 827,060 US gallons of embalming fluid, which usually includes formaldehyde.

Cremation has a surprisingly negative impact on the environment. Although there are “filters” --temporary storage tanks--for toxins from crematories, large amounts of gases, particulate matter, and carcinogenic compounds escape into the air and water from the 2,204 crematories across the U.S.   Pollutants from crematories remain mostly unregulated, and include mercury leakage, dioxins, plastic or metal residues from implants, plastic from hospital body bags, silicone breast implants, plastic or metal limbs, pesticide residues in body tissues, and particulate matter from ash escaping the filters.  A study from the Cremation Association of North America has found that filtering crematorium fumes has little effect on the toxins released.  However, citizens in over 35 states have set up blocks and ordinances to prevent further building of crematories. Studies in the last two decades have shown a correlation between local crematorium's pollution and stillbirth, anencephaly, and increased air pollution containing toxic particulate matter.  Locales then show high percentages of asthma and other lung diseases.

Green burial preserves and sanctuaries are dedicated parcels of land that are certified by the Green Burial Council of America from the strictest of their standards.  There is zero use of any pesticides or toxins, and residues in bodies are allowed to organically decompose. Nourishment is also provided to the soil, while planting of native trees help decrease carbon emissions.

The Green Burial movement is now 20 years old and is compatible with all religions, spiritual paths, and philosophies. All individuals, couples, and families who care for the earth and the peace it brings now have access to green burials. Memorials and traditional rites of passage are honored, while dignified care of the deceased, whether at home or in a sanctuary, is the highest priority.

Current purchase of TransitionCoin digital tokens and future investing in pure, certified green burial sanctuaries is a way for you to be part of the solution instead of the part of the problem.

Presale and sale

The TransitionCoin sale will begin in March at US$1 per coin. There will be a 10% discount for purchases of enough coins to cover two or more Green Burials - 8,000 TransitionCoins or more. The ICO will be open to all investors.

The presale begins in January. There is a substantial discount for presales. The presale is open to accredited investors in the USA and all non-US investors that legally can participate.

Register for notification of the presale and sale at https://transitiongreenburials.com.
