the last byte should be less than or equal 127, the correct encoding is "02 80 00".

maybe you should use unsigned int.

Re: Possible to create an oracle that can sign a tx without revealing privkey?
by

I remember that there is a tx a4bfa8ab6435ae5f25dae9d89e4eb67dfa94283ca751f393c1ddc5a837bbc31b,
with its output "OP_HASH256 6fe28c0ab6f1b372c1a6a246ae63f74f931e8365e15a089c68d6190000000000 OP_EQUAL", which can be unlocked with the genesis block.

but if the redeem tx is released, it can be forged so anyone could spend it. some kind of risky.

3 issues:

1 "ERROR Failed to contact the origin." for user-details page. user-details-json seems work better.

2 fix the calculation of "Profit and loss measured in blocks", since the current bad luck ... Sad

3 any chance for NMC merged mining (add another address in username?)

see here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=269042.msg3005269#msg3005269

mid to low priority, so I prefer not to nudge him directly Smiley since nothing is interrupted.

any way we can change the percentage we get from the merge? say i want more of a certain coin then other.

Is there any way to direct more payout to a certain coin or is it just a plain equal across the board. like 25% bitcoin 25% devcoin, 25% ixccoin and 25% namecoin? was trying to get more namecoin and less ixcoin.
You actually get 100% of all the coins. Hashpower is distributed across coins, it used for the 4 at the same time.

this. You arent getting 25% bitcoin 25% devcoin, 25% ixccoin and 25% namecoin. You are getting 100% bitcoin 100% devcoin, 100% ixccoin and 100% namecoin

Could someone link me a summary of the history of this companies dealings? I have read a lot of stuff saying they have scammed people in China, tons of pre-orders never delivered etc. Also as a courtesy could someone translate the chinese posts in this thread, it is hard to follow when there are multiple languages being spoken  Huh
Not required, as long as you dont know much details, keeping away from this IPO is enough.

ASICME random history:

1 lixiaolai invested in this company (but recently lixiaolai says there's no relationship with the IPO).

2 Presell Clone Machines (Avalon chip), selling mining contracts, and expensive hosting services (purchase with their machines). None of them will ever break even, in RMB or BTC. and they dont tell the buyers about the rising difficulty issues.

3 Purchased Avalon chips from earlier group buys (as order placed earlier, the group buys are jimmy2011's, in Chinese subforum), their own orders are only placed after June with a much later deliver estimation.

4 Some kinds of media promotion, claiming to be the largest (bitcoin) mining machine provider in China & third in the world (if I remember correctly), tricking (& have tricked) many new comers in China.
(about 4: use site:163.com ASICME or sina.com.cn or something in Google)

And a bigger fish!  Shocked

3 TH/s is really serious gear!

I'd say, as an unrequested advice, that with 3 TH/s you can use a much higher difficulty than 256.

I'd try with 2048 at least, lowering your fee to a little less than 0.3%

spiccioli
if the pool goes wrong, with --disable-rejecting, the issue could be solved faster with a lower diff.

bitparking have some rejecting issues so I came back... & personally I know the 3TH guy Smiley

hopefully we could have NMC merge mining in the future, but where is fireduck ...

Re: Potentially faster method for mining on the CPU
by
techwtf
on 01/08/2013, 17:33:54 UTC
It wont be faster than brute force method. read this for more details: http://jheusser.github.io/2013/02/03/satcoin.html

This is different than a SAT solver approach in my view,

What I'm proposing is coming up with equations that represent doing the double SHA256 symbolically.   Each equation will have no more logical operations than the double hash itself (sans the symbolic carry bits from addition) and no more than 640 input variables corresponding to the input bits of the block header.

All of this can be computed offline.   Then it's about solving a system of 32 equations with 32 unknowns to derive the correct nonce.  I propose this can be done faster than trying to hash the full nonce range on the CPU, maybe faster than doing it on a GPU;  Wolfram Mathematica for example can do it in a few seconds depending on the equation complexity.

no, getwork RPC is already the smallest work. you should learn to use getblocktemplate to generate work.

those coins have different difficulties to mine with. NMC/IXC/DVC are merged mining with BTC, you use the same hash to solve 4 coins. if you want to get more X coin, add more hardware, exchange with BTC.

Re: Reset avalon password [1 btc reward]
by

Pressing the reset button for several seconds (keep the button pushed, until the light stop flashing) at the boot time (push the button first, then power on the machine, may need 30-60 secs) lead to openwrt safe mode.

after successful reset, 703n ip will be 192.168.1.1/24, use telnet to connect (no password). type in "firstboot" and enter, "reboot -f" and enter, then you got the original settings (192.168.0.100/24 and empty password).

the reset button can be accessed using a ball pen or something thin and solid to push in the small hole, the right side, near the ethernet port.
