Re: Know Your Customer

I have always wondered how this principle is consistent with the two fundamental positions of the cryptocurrency world - anonymity and decentralization. In this regard, I believe that coins with strong anonymity, for example, Monero  can greatly increase in price soon.

Re: Dogecoin is the new Bitcoin

I don't think it's a new bitcoin. The Dogecoin project as far as I know started as a joke. At the end of last year, the Chinese bought this coin as a cool gift. But in its usefulness, it will never replace bitcoin and coins from the top ten.

First, not the fact that they will be able to  manage your money profitably. Secondly, as already mentioned in this area a lot of different scams. Thirdly, you need to understand the mechanisms of investment by yourself-this is the best option!

Thank you for the link, very interesting resource! By the way, I think that five-year-olds will be able to understand bitcoin technology better than we adults. I'm not talking about details, but about a fundamental understanding.

I also take part in bounty companies, but, to my shame, I still haven't been able to deal with steemit and reddit. Meanwhile in my opinion it is the most perspective resources as bounty of campaign in Twitter are already overflowing with participants.

Re: can someone explain why so many ICO's are scams?
by
tenu

It's simple. If the IPO is regulated by law, then the legislation on ICO is only being developed (an excellent example is Belarus, where it has recently become effective). And some people have a great temptation to do nothing, not developing useful models, not doing difficult research just take your money and go very far

Exchanges geared towards crypto traders offer short support as a matter of course, and some allow for leveraged shorting too. These exchanges include:
1.Bitfinex
2.GDAX
3.KrakeN
4.BTCC
5.Bitflyer

Thanks a lot, very interesting information! But what about fees on these operations? Do they have leverage service for short positions?

First of all there should be proper legislation for such activities. And when it would be allowed in this or that country, banks will be the leading players in such business.

I would be very glad to have passive income in bitcoins, but for me it sounds fantastic. I prefer just to hold my BTC (so called HODL strategy), because I do not believe anyone on crypto market.

As far as I know G20 decided that crypto is an asset. In such case it is easier to regulate it for governments. If it were a currency there would be a number of dubious issues such as currency bank control, etc

Binance - from Asia to Europe?
by
tenu
on 23/03/2018, 20:07:09 UTC
Japan's Financial Services Agency issued a warning Friday to major cryptocurrency exchange Binance for operating without registration in the country.
Hong Kong-based Binance was operating in Japan through the internet without a license for a virtual currency exchange, according to a Google translation of the Japanese-language statement.
At the same day Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao, known in the crypto community as “CZ”, told Bloomberg that he had been invited to Malta by the government in order to look at an upcoming bill “favorable” to crypto businesses.
So, there are some questions on this situation. 1) Does it mean that we will be able to change EUR to crypto directly? 2) Which citizens are welcomed? For example, Bittrex prohibited to work those persons whose countries are under US sanctions. What for Malta on this issue? 3) Will this move from Asia to Europe contribute more crypto trading volume in EU countries?

Re: WILL BITCOIN BE USED BY ALMOST EVERYONE IN 2022?

I think that in 2022 there would be a number of technologies that change our life completely. I am sure that in 2022  BTC value will be around $1000,000. Bitcoin will become the leading coin that is regarded as a safe-haven against vulnerable fiat money.

Re: Bitcoin vs. Gold Prices
by
tenu

I think that bitcoin is more reliable than gold - you can transfer it from one country to another without any customs problems. Bitcoin, the heavyweight of the cryptocurrency world, has billed itself as digital gold. Bitcoin is, after all, far more volatile than gold, and still relatively unknown compared to other investment assets. Gold, on the other hand, is well established with institutional investors and has quite a bit of liquidity.

I suppose there will be taxes in cryptocurrency in some time. And even now traders and investors should pay taxes for crypto activities - for example Coinbase presented special calculator for this purpose.

Cryptocurrency doesn’t pose a risk to the global financial system; finance ministers of the world’s largest economies were told over the weekend. Wonderful news! But this news even in combination with the news that Tokyo Whale Stop Selling would not affect on the price growth dramatically. I suppose that we can catch BTC at 6000 )

Re: Will ICO die in 2018?
by
tenu
on 17/03/2018, 20:47:23 UTC
I think ICO market will not die, but it will never be so lucrative like in 2017. There are only a few teams who are very professional in their operations fields, others simply use this hyip. And regulation authorities will be more and more stricter to ICO founders. I wouldn't be surprised to see hefty fines, litigation and even jail time for those standing on the wrong side of the ICO issue.
Beyond the regulatory crackdown, questions will arise around the utility of special-purpose tokens. Why would a file hosting company accept payment in Filecoin, when a general-purpose digital asset is so much more liquid and therefore easier to turn into fiat?

Both Facebook and Google have banned all crypto ads! And, what is interesting, there is one businessman in Russia who decided to file a lawsuit on this decision. His name is Vladimir Orehov and his business is closely linked with financial crypto operations. His financial claims are about 35 million dollars!

I am fully agree with you!  One year ago Bitcoin was $1179 and everyone was pretty happy. Now it's 8500 but it's "crashing"'... We get greedy pretty quickly, that's an irony of trading.
