Re: [2018-02-12]Bitmain To Release Ethereum ASIC Miner F3 With 72Gb DDR3 Dram In Q2

bitmain is just effectively packing 18*4GB Gpus onto 3 compute boards and optimizing the bus so they work more effective(less power usage). with the p104 hasing @40Mhs, 18 of them would be 720Mhs but using over 2kW.

I wouldnt really call this an ASIC.

Nice find dude.
One worker 725g/h sure looks like one to me...  no more new gpus for me. Cry

it is definitely not one. You can have all your rigs use the same worker name and it will all be aggregated into 1.

The only reason to split them up is to debug which one has problems. If you dont mind or has other ways to monitor then you can simply have them all register using 1 worker name.

No updates...Well it was an interesting start.  Too bad to see a nice project like this not be updated Sad  We dont really need claymore anyways...there are other options.  but more options equal better options

Can you please comment about new futures? I need some feedback about the new futures.

Have you developed it in the last few months? any new features? when will the next release be?

it does seem that sometimes the miner would just stop working solutions but would not crash. the error handling and watchdog feature need to be improved. wonder when will there be a new version coming out?

it could be because the card is too hot and either your afterburner or claymore is trying to slow down the hashing to reduce heat.

clearly the mining rig had some issues either physically or with the software. you can tell by the reported rate drop to almost 0. it then bounce back up but is unstable which could indicate it still has some issues. also high stale shares and low share submittion is also a problem maybe caused by overheating(claymore go into low intensity mode) or overclocking which it finds a lot of incorrect shares(useless shares).

request to add feature to notify when significant hash rate drop for a worker(ideally configurable). ie. a worker usually do 180mh/s, if drops by more than X%(configurable) it sends a notification. do not need to notify immediately(configurable). but if below the threshold for more than Y(configurable) minutes then notify.

Any thoughts to adding clock and memory speeds for AMD?
-cclock 1100
-mclock 1500
Very useful for Linux rigs
thks

wouldnt you normally just flash the memory speed into bios just to make things easier?

also just want to check if we can delete workers from the cloud dashboard?

i did not use the -N to specify the worker name so the dashboard has multiple instance of the random 5 char string showing up.

dual mining for those cards are around 100-120w per card. mining eth only is around 80-90w per card.

speed wise yo should get over 28.5 for the 570s and 30 for the 580s. so for your setup 175 is the normal speed.

i dont agree with his language but i do agree that the price is too expensive. 3k per rig is way too expensive for second miners.
