How often should my account page on slushs website be updating itself to reflect the work my miners are doing?
I'm watching my GUIminer and my workers are acccepting shares literally every single minute, but on slushs website it says the time since last share for my worker is 1 hour and like 12 minutes. WTF.

Why is the website not updating the shares my workers are finding and therefore not updating my score and therefore not updating my reward?

Should it be updating every time a worker accepts a share?

I used to have this problem occasionally, but usually stopping my miner and restarting it fixed the problem.

The average hashrate shown on the account page isn't always accurate, though it's usually close.

I've also noticed, back when I was submitting only about a share a minute, that if it went to a new round and I hadn't yet submitted a share for the new round, and the old round was still listed as "Processing..." I would show no shares submitted for the duration of the last round.

So, first step, click to the stats page and see if a new round just started. If it did, give it a minute or so to submit a share for the new round and you should be fine.

If the current round has been going for a while, and your reward has dropped off - turn it off and back on again. Make sure you are using stratum.bitcoin.cz port:3333 on your miner, rather than the default slush address in GUIMiner.

If you're only submitting one share a minute you might consider switching over to litecoin, since things are only going to get tougher around here. I'm considering doing the same until my ASIC comes in.

Yes, BFL is shipping. Only Jalapenos, but they've got the first month worth of orders out the door.

I had a look, they've shipped 35 pcs and only half of that to customers, half got redactors and whoever knows.

Where's the panic? They promissed tens of thousands chips, that means at least hundreds devices in the first batch. From their informations, they shipped only 35 pcs (lol?) and about the rest, *no* informations. That means probably next month as we know them…

According to the latest update from BFL_Jody, they've shipped most orders through the end of July 2012. Looking the the unofficial order queue at http://bfl.ptz.ro/  they show about 250 Jalapanos delivered. If only ~50% of people who ordered Jalapenos entered their information there (which seems a safe assumption judging by the gaps in order numbers), then around 500 units were delivered. At 5Gh each, that would add ~2.5Th to the network.

Of course, I'm making some big assumptions based on incomplete data, so I could be way off.

Something is wrong with the website - I'm showing zeros for unconfirmed rewards on the accounts page, and the last two blocks have been "processing...." for way too long. Is anyone else having this problem, or is it just me?

EDIT: Never mind, just saw the "TEMPORARILY N/A" sign.

This is just a quick and dirty to put a hold on transfers until the IRS can figure out how to tax them.

Nah, IRS wouldn't need DHS to do their dirty work. DHS being involved means someone thinks they are funding terrorists or some other national security threat. Or, at least, that's the excuse they'll have to use to explain DHS's involvement should this turn out to be a conspiracy by the US government to eliminate a competing currency that they can't control.

Figures this would happen on the same day I got my new GPU and tripled my hash rate.

Weird - I've kind of been doing the same thing.  Perhaps we should collaborate.

I love that "Last 24 Hours" you've got in there. You 2 should definitely collaborate :-D

And I love that you've got the US dollar value of your payout. Do you get that from Mt.Gox, or is it an average of several sources, and how often does it update?

I just noticed one of the workers happily submitting shares while the account page says I submitted nothing for over an hour. I reconnected and normal operation resumed.

Same here...

Mine did the same, only it said three and a half hours. Thing is there were a couple of short blocks during that time period where I did have shares. So I was mining, it just wasn't showing up on the account page for some reason.

I'm getting about 40Mh/s with my desktop, and 34Mh/s with my laptop. Earning about .006 BTC a day on average through slush's pool. Definitely not getting rich, but it's still fun seeing a trickle of free money roll in.
