Isn’t this loaded with 1BTC? That would make the value a little higher 😜

Well, with $100k+ in fiat, I missed the BTC train (and BCH), so I have less than half of what I would have had if I was in coin at the time. Taking a 50% loss now would bring that down to a quarter. Sure BTC trading is about betting, but now I'm betting those 50k that they will honor the payback rather than losing them with 100% certainty.

I feel for you brother :-(

All I can say is I’m not pleased at losing 45% of my holdings to cash out now which was a new idea they came up with since making the original promise to not do that very thing.

There was no way I was going to leave any of my actually available funds on there another second. Good luck to those that have spun that dice...

i just received my litecoins from btc-e, which i am very happy with. is it really coincidence that now litecoin has tanked big time they sent out the coins? i don't think so, but considering that i bought my litecoins below $10, after this dump and losing the other 45% i am still in the profits. i hope for everyone else that btc-e ends up relaunching in a good manner so they can refund people properly. this chapter is closed for me.

Yeah price tanked because they are selling our 45% before releasing the 55% to us, ensuring liquidity and a good price for them. Won't ever be using them again.... Tossers!!

I got my coins just now, a ltitle over 24hrs after confirming withdrawal.

Shitty way to do it, take 55% now and f##k off or leave them on our shitty exchange and wait for a miracle...

Still at least they did what they said they would on the latest update, not quite what they originally promised though is it....

Of course the LTC price plummeted down which is a bit of a shit...

This makes the most sense.

A lot of the new guys doing trading on finex or stamp don't have much respect for btc-e.  But that's where all of the old whales live. . .

For sure, I've been using it since 2013 which feels like a hundred years in crypto. Always preferred it over Gox and always thought Karpelès played things way too loose and fast over there, he missed way too many opportunities to be taken seriously, could never understand why people used it at all.

This is really your fault. Btce has been always a shady exchange. A catastrophe in the making. I do use it because they offer lots of USD withdrawal options and are lax with the rules but if I was selling to hedge my bitcoin value and I don't want to go with the identity verification I'll use bitfinex/kraken/bitmex. The latter is not an exchange but recently their quarterly future is solid enough for 20-40k.

That's only about 40 BTC so I very much doubt they would decide to exit based on that amount...

Thank for clarification. I still think there is no hack. Why would they post about maintenance?
Because typically every other site that was hacked used this as cover while they worked out the level of buttrapeage that had occurred.
