Maybe you should try some other exchange.

Do you recommend any? I'd really just like to have it done through my debit card, but I guess with chargeback threat nobody deals in that way anymore.

Nope, first reason nailed it.

I want to try TSR, but the barrier to entry of dealing in BitCoin is pretty nutso.

I only need like, 6 or 7 BTC for my purposes, but MtGox has prohibitively high funds transfer rates, also sending money international from my bank costs like $35.

So yeah.

I also saw that BitCoinLocal thing where you can just pay cash and get coin, but meeting strangers for weird transactions, I may as well go and try to cop drugs.
