I have transfered Bitcoin Diamonds to exchange by Electrum Bitcoin Diamond wallet, but transaction somehow  afects my real Bitcoin account . So I lost all my BTC.
Exchange said that BCD didn't arrived

Could anybody help me with some ideas?
Clearly you need to speak with the exchange - amongst other things - if they have the priv key for the wallet they will be able to get the BTC sent to that.

Re: Friends reactions to crypto currencies?
by
thebanker28
on 02/09/2018, 23:26:06 UTC
I was questioned on crypto currencies legalization. I explained the facts happening around. Few received it with convincing reactions and few just ignored it. I really felt bad for the guys who did not care about crypto currencies as I really know the fruitfulness? I happily taught few others about crypto currencies. What was your friends expression when you introduced bitcoin to them?
It varies wildly, many of them are fascinated when they hear about it - many think its a crazy concept. IT will take years for everyone to get on board with thte same concept.

Re: Facebook now joining btc?

Is this a good time for Facebook to try new kinds of stuff. Facebook owner Mark Zuckerberg has become the world's third richest man in the world and he has achieved all that just because of technology and a right idea, So do you guys think he will now at least think about experimenting to take bitcoin as a payment method in facebook. I think that will surely change a lot of people's mind around the world and they can freely put some money on facebook business.
this would be a big chamge for zuck. i wait with baited breath

Re: Do governments lose taxes with cryptocurrencies?
by
thebanker28
on 20/08/2018, 02:00:32 UTC
Any government is free to tax crypto in exactly the same way as they tax any other currency or asset. They will probably claim that tax evasion ios riffe with crypto but most countries have self reported taxes in the majority of cases and its up to each individual to stay ion the right side of this.

Re: Venezuela Wants to Launch a Central Bank for Cryptocurrencies
by
thebanker28
on 20/08/2018, 01:57:08 UTC
After the blockchain-based Crypto Petro Dollar, the Venezuelan government probably has a new idea to get foreign currency into the country. It wants to set up and build up a central bank for cryptocurrencies. Another crazy idea or does the idea have potential?

For more details read this article on CCN.

The government in Venezuela are as corrupt and incompetent as they get. The fact that they are involved in crypto is not a good thing in total for the crypto community, they are a laughing stock and giving the entire ecosystem a bad reputation.

Re: I have good ideas, but cant code
by

on 13/08/2018, 13:39:36 UTC
I have had many great ideas like new system for lottery (fair for players, with a confirmed jackpot, will not increase or decrease, always the same) and dota 2 and other game wagering (firstblood did it first but i came up with the idea before i knew what firstblood was) but i can not code and i dont have any money at all to pay for coders and such to make my ideas come to fruition, what should i do?
You could learn to code, bring coders onto your team or pay them as contractors. Even for case 2 and 3 learning a little would help a lot.

I recently read about copper membership and sent BTC to the address provided. Was I scammed? I was told to send 0.00208333 and I sent 0.00209 but I am not a copper member yet. Any ideas?

Was sent to wallet 36fYiFTSAnqPXUfTTKbdCEH4VVBYjTxRtt and is at 4 confirmations...
If it was for this account it seems to be resolved now.  Smiley

As the mantra goes "If it bleeds, it leads!"

Media is biased towards sensational stories. I am not sure they care one way or another about BTC - bit its probably easier for them to find some talking heads who are ready to bash BTC.

by

For anyone who has been around for a few years you might remember that the internet was also "never going to usurp traditional media. It too had capacity constraints and growing pains and was "always in danger of collapsing".

Never say never. I dont know how this will play out or if BTC will hit 200K but I am not betting against it.

Re: Will the bitcoin be outdated by another currency?
by
thebanker28
on 21/07/2018, 23:56:04 UTC
Its a complicated answer, but in short No.

Its a bit like saying will something more useful than gold be discovered. BTC will remain the gold standard, there are however places for some other cryptos that do specialist things well - and when they do, BTC can optionally implement those features, but it doenst have to be all things to all people.

Unfortunately in this space "Buyer Beware" needs to be highlighted continuously. There are some interesting projects and it is not a fair assumption to say that ALL projects are scams - but it is true that many of them are. This means, as a buyer you need to be extremely cautious.

Re: Cryptocurrencies Can Never Replace Fiat – Says EU report
by
thebanker28
on 02/07/2018, 14:34:25 UTC
Central banks will not want to concede control to independent crypto if for no other reason than they lose the ability to control the money supply. Right now if a central bank thinks the economy is too hot - they will restrict supply, and increase supply when they think the economy is slow. Thats not easily possible in crypto.

Re: Will we ever see 20k+ again?
by
thebanker28
on 20/01/2018, 22:00:34 UTC
I am sure that BTC is still very much undervalued at these current prices. My predictions 6 / 8 months ago were that BTC would reach $10 in 2017 and $20K in 2018. I am very confident in the direction, I think the market probably got ahead of itself just a little both on the way up, and then in selling off in the past few days. I think $20K is no problem in the next few months on a sustainable basis, and then the next leg up will be even more breathtaking.

HODL on tight my friend, this is going to be a bumpy flight, but we will get there in the end.

Re: Is Bitcoin a Ponzi scheme?
by
thebanker28
on 20/01/2018, 21:55:38 UTC
There are a couple of things I would do in this situation, firstly, I would remind your friend that a "Ponzi Scheme" was actually carried out with fiat currency, not crypto currency. Secondly - some people are just ignorant, if they are not going to get it, its OK. the same people probably have those pulse dial telephones at home and cant figure out why nobody calls them anymore. There are plenty of open minded people in the world, sometimes you have to let a few of the naysayers go.
