Re: PhoenixMiner 5.4c: fastest Ethereum/Ethash miner with lowest devfee (Win/Linux)

Linux Install for EthOS.. Help needed.

I use EthOS and my rigs are mostly with 5.0 or 5.1 PhoenixMiner. I used the Ethos update option. It refers to GitHub for third party miner install script for Ethos. But it updates the PhoenixMiner to 5.3b edition, not the latest 5.4c edition.

I see instructions to download the .exe file for Windows. Can someone point me towards EthOs Install for 5.4c edition without using Ethos miner manager?

Thanks,

I think for each 25 dollar price reduction in ETH, there would be hash rate drop at this point. I pay about 5.5 cents a KWh and own my own data center as well as have remote staff. I am able to sustain during the downturn. What I noticed is that the only thing that would save a miner now is price of power. I am setting up a large solar farm and my power cost should be around 3 cents and should keep mining profitable to pay off the solar farm. This is the only thing I can think of that would save mining during these tough times.

Are there any further discounts on the pricing?

With all miners cleaning their shelves for 90 percent discount, I wonder what you guys are doing.

If there are deep discounts, I might buy a large chunk.

Not sure why you are referencing CoinTerra in your whitepaper. Isn't that the company that went bankrupt and could not pay their electricity bill from C7 Data Center in Utah?

Sorry for the late response to the post.  We have been working on building the necessary partnerships, refining the whitepaper and putting together the website.  Our next step is recruitment of advisers and marketing.

These pools are frustrating. I tried a dozen of pools so far but none of them has a constant payout. Some days i get only half of what my hashrate should get. I'm not sure if i should just switch to XMR, on XMR i do have constant payouts.

Hello :

I am trying to move from ETH mining to ETN mining. I have about 4000 GPUs and wondering if anyone can suggest a decent pool that can handle all of my GPUs.

I contacted and they are selling these for 2000 now if you place an order of 100. Is it worth it?

the funny part is that nobody cares!
those experienced enough who can see this, will either avoid it at all costs or enjoy the profit while it lasts and are the first ones to dump ether before anyone else to secure their profits.
and the rest are just sheep who follow that coinmarketcap.com shows them as "top" cryptocurrency! and they always get burnt and leave the altcoin scene forever and most of them will only have bitcoin for the future.

ps [Manipulation 101] Market cap Cheesy

For now, yes nobody cares. Everyone who bought ETH are still making money and those holders are still very optimistic that ETH will become no.1 in coinmarketcap.com this year. But if the price starts dropping it will be a different story, especially when it is shown and proven that all of those projects that raised millions in their ICOs will not work because of Ethereum's limitations.

I can agree with you any more, people who bought the EHT are confident to make money or to by ICO tokens. And the ICO teams will collect more and more ETHs.

It is interesting that there are 3 posts by SONM ICO guys. This whole thread seems to be planned game by SONM or someone else on the thread.

With charlie dedicating his time fulltime to litecoin now and quitting coinbase sky is the limit.

Could not agree more.

Looking at all of the Alt Coins rallies in the past 2 months, I think LTC has it's turn now.

Re: X11 Baikal x GPU
by

Baikal miner is currently based 40nm architecture. More than likely with all the money they are getting, they will put it into R &D and release 20 nm or even 14 nm machine soon. Once that happens, all of the existing Baikal machines will be less valuable. As for the GPUs, they will need to find some other coin to make it worthwhile.

Does anyone know the mining power of one Sapphiretech Rx 470 Nitro model for Dash/x11 algo ?

Advantage of GPU over the Baikal ASIC is that if diff goes nuts in Dash (which is likely) or price falls (which is also likely) a GPU can mine about 100 other coins that Baikal cannot.

well a baikal can mine 6 algo not only one, so you have some other option in case x11 tank, it's also true that if dash tank other coins can not sustain its hash

Agreed, there are some other options. But none of them as profitable, and while I am a fan of Baikal/Dash I would still argue that GPU most likely have better resale value and wider application area.

Not saying Baikal is a bad value, just pointing out limitations.
