The new beta version is ready. You can download PhoenixMiner 5.5b from here:

If you want to check the integrity of the downloaded file, please use the following hashes (you need the last file PhoenixMiner_NVRTC_Windows.zip only if you want to mine BCI with Nvdia cards under Windows):

The new features in this release are:

  • Added native kernels for AMD RX6800 and RX6900 GPUs. These are faster than the generic kernels and produce a lot less stale shares
  • Updated kernels for AMD Polaris, Vega and Navi GPUs that are slightly faster and use less power than before when mining ETH. To use these updated kernels, you need to use drivers 20.5.1 or later under Win10, or 20.10.x or later under Linux
  • The Nvidia mining cards (P106, P104, etc.) can now use straps and hardware control options (power limit, memory overclock, max temperature, etc.) under Windows
  • Added support for AMD Linux drivers 20.45-1164792 and 20.45-1188099. Use this drivers only if you have RX6800 or RX6900 GPU. WARNING: Vega and Navi GPUs wont' work with these drivers!
  • Automatically set -ttli instead of -tmax when the later is not supported by the driver. This will throttle down the GPUs when they reach the specified temperature to avoid overheating

If you have RX6800 or RX6900 card, do not use the PhoenixMiner hardware control options (-cclock, -mclock, etc.) because there is yet another undocumented change in OverDrive and some of them will work, but some won't with weird results - we will implement them properly in the next version. Instead use the AMD control panel to set the card parameters. Good starting point are the following options: core clock 1500 MHz, mem clock 2050 MHz, core voltage 800 mV, set faster memory timings, and a custom fan curve to  keep the temperature below 65-66 C.

Please let us know if you have any problems or questions related to PhoenixMiner 5.5b.

What about RTX 3000 series get insane amount of invalid shares after every epoch change, and you have to reset everything to stock everything until epoch is fully loaded on every card then you can re-overclock again?

I don't think we will get any updates/fixes soon since the price has gone up and a lot of people came back and start to mine again. Probably enjoying those sweet sweet fees lol

hello, since the last update, my gpu memory setting no longer works,

here is my .bat: PhoenixMiner.exe -pool eth-eu1.nanopool.org:9999 -wal 0x24kndflog2588dlE288CA7eF03b627D0C78758426.pc -powlim 75 -mclock 4500 -log 0

never use parameters to set your overclocking, use third party software is much more stable

don't say anything please! I always did, never had a problem!

Yeah, and this guy is having a problem using in-miner overclocking tools, see how it turned out for him. I'm just saying, switch to Afterburner or Precision would do the trick as you have much more control of the card than the in-miner tools do. It's awesome for linux users, but if you decided to go Windows then I highly recommend using something else

3060 Ti here - works well, unless...

- I set max overclock at start (only incorrect shares are generated - I need to start lower and increase)
- Epoch changes (same result as above)

Please fix.

happens to me as well (RTX3070), I thought it was a bug on the driver or the bios, I was updating/flashing for 2 hours before figured what you just said lol

Interesting.. thanks for reporting this.. did you try any other miner see if the same issue persists?
so it is not a driver issue, it is a general rtx 3000 series issue

If I start on +1200 mem clock I can survive  but I still get bunch of invalid shares ,  if i start under +1000mem clock and go up I get no invalid shares even up to 1500+for now I start them at +900 and go up to +1200 since you never know when the Epoch change happens and the whole thing goes down if you have it set above +1250 or so memory clock

I have an MSI and a Zotac  3060 ti ,   Zotac runs hotter and faster , but more prone to invalid shares, same story as above applies to both

I get 59-60 MH on the 900+ mem
and can get close to 64 MH if I go up to +1500 and give it some  power like 66% to 68%

Here's what I did,
reset every oc settings to stock
start the miner
wait it to load the dag file and everything
let it run for 2-3 minutes
crank the memory oc +1500 in one go

never got invalid shares until it loads the new dag then the issue comes back
hope this help

that is not a solution..
that is exactly what we are all saying.

you never know the epoch change time  and don't want to be by the miner to check it for that.
Perhaps a new parameter to temporarily change the mem clock before the epoch change  in phonexminer would fix this.

I didn't know this method has been posted before, I kinda figured all this out on my own lol.
I'm not saying this is the solution by any means, but at least I got it running pretty stable for quite a while, which is better than just start the miner and it just pukes invalid shares everywhere.
like you said, we will have to wait for either the dev or the driver to be fixed or something.

In one of my rigs, I get this problem that Windows get unresposive and slow. Have the error message unable to get fan speed - Unknown Error (999) as somebody reported before.

Tried lowered mem with no sucess and cards seems work in my test PC at 1000+ in mem OC.

Combo of GTX 1660 TI and RTX 2070.

Any ideas? Rig is working fine with other algos.

you will see at which card get fan speed error, go to afterburner that select that particular card, then you should see the clock speed is down in half, that's because you've overclocked it too much, back down a bit and restart your rig then it should be normal again
It is radom which card reports first. Lowered all to 800, still same problem.

If it's random, just go through EVERY card in afterburner, it's hella slow to do this, because it keeps on freezing, but you know which card exactly cause the problem, and don't need to underclock everything.

-- Added new Nvidia kernels v3 with slightly higher hashrate and lower power consumption (up to about 1-1.5% less power). The new kernels are supported only on GTX1050/1060/1070/1080/Ti GPUs and are enabled by default on these GPUs. Note that you can't use these kernels for dual-mining, only -nvkernel 2 works for dual mining on Nvidia.

My p106 gpu's are using Kernel v3  on phoenix 4.2c but there is no hashrate  rising or lower power consumption ?Do i do something special for hash rising _?

My batch is typical like :

PhoenixMiner.exe -pool eu1-etc.ethermine.org:4444  -wal walletid.Rigid

Any advice ?

add -nvkernel 3 to your batch file, then you should see slightly improved hashrate/lowered power consumption

Is it possible to use Zilminer alongside with Phoenixminer mining ETH?

yes it is

try with this 3 bat files located in the ZIL folder, where the ZIL miner is

start.bat
Code:
C:\MINER\Phoenixminer\start.bat
startZIL.bat
Code:
zilminer.exe --pow-start stop.bat --pow-end start.bat --pow-end-at-startup -P zil://0xblablablaYourZILaddress.nameRig@207.180.192.43:4202
stop.bat
Code:
taskkill /f /im PhoenixMiner.exe

Thank you so much. I've been digging ages on how to get them to work together lol
