If the above method doesn't work and it is password protected you can retrieve the hash using a tool called bitcoin2john.py. Message me if you need any help.

You had to combine that with btcrecover right (per what they were saying on git) ? You should publish it, might help some people.

No need to send me the file, the hash would only allow me to crack the password.

Throw me the hash and I can try cracking it with a rig I have made for password cracking (multiple GPUs, etc)
