Today is the 2 month anniversary of my first fiat withdrawal. Still not happening. I'm seriously thinking of taking up the 5% haircut manual withdrawal option. If anyone has a solid reason for me not doing it, I'd like to hear about it

someone buying $1B of btc would double the current price back to $260 or so and it would probably run a little higher than that

Well, generally I'd agree, but not if the order book is so shallow that liquidations might already increase volatility a lot! It's easy to manipulate an order book to the upside, so the asks are pretty meaningless. But the bids being so few is not entirely meaningless. Price may spike much more heavily if someone panic sells 20k now.

That's true, but on the other hand, it would only take a dump of ~50kBTC to take the price down to $3.  We've seen at least a few people trade around that volume in the past month or so, so I don't think it's an unlikely possibility that somebody could cash out.  In fact, IIRC, somebody bought 40kBTC or so at $2.9.  That person could drop the price down to right around $3 and make a pretty nice profit right now.
