hey guys. so i've finally got my wallet synced and all. i sent my ESP back into my exchange account. i've only sent to the local wallet before, not back to exchange. soooo how long does this normally take? it's status is unconfirmed and searching a block explorer shows no results.
What exchange? If Poloniex looks like you will be waiting a long time. If any other exchange it should have been showing in your wallet and confirmed within 15 to 30 seconds. If not in Digibyte block explorer it was not sent.

Did they say it was sent? Digibyte blocks are fast. One block every 15 seconds. If it was sent it would be in the explorer. File a support ticket with them if they claim it was sent already.
okay so it's moving now. 2/10 confirmations. so if anybody else sees this and wonders, it's at about 30 mins to start moving. thanks again!
Glad they sent your coins. They should not hold the tx so long before actually sending it.
yeah... still hasn't shown up on my CE balances but the wallet showed 10/10 confirmations. i'm sure it'll pop up soon enough. if not i'll write support. thanks again! have a great weekend

hey guys sorry i can't seem to make sense of this. i bought a few more ecc today, trying to trickle it in bit by bit. now the coinexchange.io wallet is "temporarily offline". i guess this is a bigger problem than just the ECC wallet not syncing etc. what's the story here? i'm relatively new to this so is this problem on dev side or the exchange? i'm on mac os x and seeing all the problems with the local wallet so far, i'm just curious about this new kind of problem. i saw twitter and forum posts re: this being fixed but what exactly comes next? thanks for your time.

im using latest wallet, i added a huge list of nodes suggested by Griffith. Man this wallet is not working. There are no peers. Very annoying. Kindly help out if you can !
ya with the bootstrap, kiklo snapshot and about 8 hours of catching up, i'm finally synced and my deposit came through. it just takes a while and i had 3-4 peers connected max... usually only 3.
the wallet does need a bit of work, and maybe a FAQ or SOME kind of instructions in one easy place, but with the help of some cats in here i got it sorted. just deposited all my coin off from CE.

new wallet i just published should address some of the connection issues. people are finding its more like 7-8 peers instead of 2-3 now
but yes. i am working on making the wallet a lot easier to use. this is essential for growth and gaining new members in the community

Hey guys, loving ECC so far but facing some of the problems I am seeing elsewhere.
It says my OSX wallet is out of sync in red. I know you guys said this may be normal but it doesn't feel like it lol. Maybe change it to "updating" or something along those lines.
Since I saw on this thread that that isn't abnormal, I sent 1000 ECC from CoinExchange to test it out. The exchange says my order is completed but nothing is in my wallet!

Nobody can touch or receive the coins that are send to your addres.

it ran "loading block index" for maybe 5-10 mins, says "done loading", then opens properly. BUT it still says "out of sync" in red. i haven't put any ecc in as i don't want to risk it without knowing for sure it works. hell, it could be working just fine and this out of sync message is normal... bit hard to make sense of it all coming in fresh.

That is totally normal, let it sync, if it is you will see a green "V". It means it is catching up with the blockchain.

oh i see! so it will say "out of sync" until it just kind of needs to sync up again on it's own, then the green V happens, and back to "out of sync" and so forth?

hi guys sorry noob here and this thread is massive! so my apologies for asking something which for sure must have been asked along the way already.
i just got the ecc wallet, it's been out of sync. osx. made a new address. bought some ecc on an exchange and want to dump it into the wallet tomorrow, but want to be careful and not lose anything to the void! am i doing something wrong re: syncing the wallet? i know with ETH i had to sync and wait like 10 hours for the chain to sync and download etc.

Hey,
The fastest way to sync is to download the bootstrap here https://www.cryptounited.io/downloads/ecc/ecc_bootstrap.zip
This bootstrap will contain the complete ECCoin folder, but is without wallet.dat
How to use:
1.) rename your ECCoin map to ECCoin2 - User->Library->Application Support ->ECCoin
2.)unpack ECCoin-bootstrap-12-06.17.zip and rename the unpacked map ECCoin
3.)Put the map in Application Support (Mac) or ApplicationData (Windows) User->Library->Application Support
4.)Copy your wallet.dat from ECCoin2 into ECCoin
5.) Start the wallet
6.) If necessary do a repairwallet in the console of the wallet.
