First things first: DiversityCoin (DIV) is 100% pre-mined.  Its aim is to share the coins to lots of people even for those who do not have access to a mining rig especially to those who are not even familiar with crypto-currency. Our target is to let more people become aware of this technology and become comfortable using it.

Each individual will initially receive 2500 DIV while any charities/foundation that want to participate will get 15000 DIV.  We will also use a percentage of the coin for creating faucets (anyone can use the faucet even if they have been given 2500 DIV already) and to partner with different companies/websites for promotions (eg. Signup for a website and get free DIVs).  We will list the partners when nearing launch.

We cannot promise everyone will get an equal share but we will let everyone have an opportunity to get coins.  We will provide different venues for people to receive coins, and we will announce it when near launch day.

Since our target is to have more mainstream people to become comfortable using crypto-currency, we will be launching our own marketplace (sort of a fiverr/ebay type of site) where they can use DIV. We will not focus on having DIV included in an exchange. It’s a nice thing to have and say we are on a particular exchange but we believe that the goal of any crypto-currency is for purchasing an item or a service.  Currency exchange is secondary or optional.

We don’t want the average Joe to think that crypto-currency is to be exchanged in fiat or for trading with other alts only.  We want them to think that crypto-currency can be a real replacement for their fiat money.  DIV may not become as valuable as other popular altcoins. We may even be forgotten or regarded as another shit/scamcoin but if we are able to make some people realize the potential of replacing fiat with crypto-currencies, then our job is done and we are happy with it.   You might also say that we can just do this with existing coins but to distribute to a lot of people, it will take considerable mining power/ btc to accumulate enough coins.  It will be easier to create a new coin.

DIV is POS with a 1% nominal interest per year.

Take note that I am not the dev of the coin, instead I asked someone from the community to create it.

Also since this is 100% premined, I am in talk with different guys to act as a sort of escrow.  Once I have all the coins, I will give each of the escrow a percentage of the coins.  That way, I do not have access to all of the coins.  I will only manage a percentage and an escrow will only give me the coins he is holding when the one I am managing is almost gone.  One already agreed to this and I will post his id soon.  There is also another one who expressed interest but we have not yet really talked but im hoping he will as he has a big trust rating and was used on another recently-released coin.

One guy also already agreed to setup a faucet for the coin and as of now just accepted to be our second escrow.  He's maarx.  He'll be an escrow and will also provide faucet for the coin.

If any of you want to provide faucets, just message me.  To those who are part of a group or organization at their schools or office, if you want to help in distributing the coin, message me also.

Try deleting everything in the AppData's BC folder except wallet.dat then try opening your wallet.   it should download the blockchain again.

also there's already something like that for BC. it's a few pages back so you just search for it i think i saw it last week.  you can create your own paper wallet, etc.

actually the one who started that thread is CryptoRush. that's their statement so yes, there IS INDEED an issue with people's funds there.   Look also how one of it's owners threatened the dev of BC. That attitude is right for a businessman?   btw, the threats part was not included in Cryptorush's posted chat log- but rat4 posted the whole conv and from there people see how he was threatened.  If you will still want to put YOUR coin there. go ahead, but i'll just wait until it goes to a different exchange.

if you want a no-fuss and reliable exchange, Mintpal would be the best way to go IMO.  They did have some problem with hacked btc before but was fixed and they did not blame anyone

Hi, yes, i understand you announced it that you would put it on cryptorush BUT things have happened recently, so would you put H2O there?  that is the question actually.  IMHO, you should learn what happened. it is your coin and you have announced putting it there. people are starting to have doubts about their management and even the attitude of one of their owner.  granted you don't they will have MORE problems (zeit issue was brought up to you on prev pages), isn't it time to take a step back and actually look at what happened?  they have a thread here :

if you have problems on launch now, it'll be harder if you will have problems when the coin is launched and lots of coins went missing in an exchange  im pretty sure it's much, much stressful that the one you have now.

I have high hopes for this coin and woke up in the middle of the night just to be one of the first miners so no trolling here. just want to have a definite answer from you.

judging from the latest blunder of crpytorush.in with blackcoin, and with other prev. coins, it's very risky to trade there.

just saying, people might lose their coins there.
