Yes I was wondering too why theres a need a huge banner like a typical crypto ANN thread. Unless OP wants to build his graphic portfolio or trying to promote the company logo inside his banner.

You can post your articles here without the unnecessarily huge-ass images and the much more unnecessary hashtags; this ain't Facebook/Instagram/Twitter/TikTok.

I guess since you are a newbie, I would suggest to stick first with Binance so you dont have to worry about the gas fee. You can even fund Binance using your creditcard. Then later on you can start investing using your metamask or buy a Trezor wallet for added security.

Hello all,

I have been following Bitcoin prices for some time, and now I'm doubtful if it is a good time to start accepting it as it has changed so much in the past months. Those who accept Bitcoin - is it worth it? And do you accept Bitcoin straight to your wallet, or do you use third-party services?

Thanks in advance!

Knowing Bitcoin and learning some ideas about crypto is a great opportunity. Not all people are open minded and accept bitcoin as a currency. Actually it is very hard to educate someone about bitcoin because it is not yhe same with our currency that you will be able to see it personally. Crypto is different from our money. It is not visible so it is very hard to explatmore about it. Then, if you will accept btc.... You are in the right place.🙂

Re: If Bitcoin drops to $8k

Lets assume Guggenheim's Minerd speculation on bitcoin having an ultimate bottom of $8k if it hits $30k referencing the "[U.S. Federal Reserve] being restrictive.”, Currently bitcoin price is below $28k and from the look of things this speculation might and might not be accurate but what if bitcoin price falls to this very dip.

I am asking what will you sell to buy more bitcoin if this speculation ever happens or will you choose to  sell off all your bitcoin due to FUD.

If the price of Bitcoin drops at 8k. I will try to buy as much as possible because Bitcoin price will increase again and again just like before. I am now in the process of overcoming my fear in trading and doing the long term investment with Bitcoin

Re: New Satoshi Emails

I'm in the process of developing a website dedicated to early bitcoin history.  Mike Hearn was gracious enough to contribute to the project by sharing his e-mail conversations with Satoshi.  Since these are never-before-seen writings of Satoshi, I thought others would enjoy having access to them now, rather than waiting for the website to go live.

Here they are:

If anyone else has anything they would like to share from early bitcoin times (2009-2010), please e-mail me at CipherionX@protonmail.com

Thanks!

This is nice hopjng for the new videos indicating the history of bitcoin, when and where it started. Much awaited if it also indicates some explanation about bitcoin and how someone may earn on it. How it is being used. It will be a useful thing since it is very hard to explain about butcoin for those who are first time users.

Re: What did you learn about crypto trading?
by
thet
on 28/05/2022, 22:56:55 UTC
Trading is not just to earn but also to learn. If you have learned about markets and traded them for over two years, I believe you have a lot of experience and you have learned a lot about it. Trading can be a deceiving profession because you can earn a lot through this and it could change your living but don't forget the fact that if you do not spend the time to learn, you’ll just waste a lot of time and money.

Sometimes newbie in trading  have the wrong mindset. They are just trying to make money as fast as possible, because they think trading can make them rich quickly which is definitely wrong perception.

During the time I started trading in crypto, I didn't think of making huge money instead I was thinking how to trade successfully and how to avoid losses so that I can keep my small capital secured. In other word, I was afraid of losses. Spending time to learn and understand technical analysis, the trading view platform, and a market as a whole has shown me that making a living and earning good profit is possible in crypto market.

I've also learned that Trading is not an easy money machine. It always need your time and effort and most important you have a lot of knowledge, strategies, patience and self discipline. If you are able to enter, you should also determine your trade exit.

I've learn a lot before i am so frustrated what is happening with my trading. I encountered a lot of losses and I am totally emotional about it. Lot of things happened and i cannot control ny emotions so i decided to stop for the period of time and learn some techniques on how to avoid the mistakes that I've done.

My husband is doing that kind of trading most of the time he is earning but you need to check first the chart how ut is going. It is important to learn more and not only trading and copying the position of other professional traders.

Re: A time people have been waiting for bitcoin to drop

on 27/05/2022, 23:57:22 UTC
Hello 👋
Okay, presently I want to ask why the sudden panicking around the media and forum here.
I could ones remembered when bitcoin was +$69k and everyone seems to be panicking for the price to get 32k or below. Today we have another chance to buy very low yet people still waiting for the price to drop even more lower.
I want to know when is the best time to buy or waiting more dip to buy and what if the price turns back to bull?
What do we do?

I am waiting for BTC price to drop and buy again. I cannot buy as of the moment because price may drop more. It is very hard to do the position since the price is still falling.

Reading some speculations from a professional trader before positioning.

Re: why we should Buy some Bitcoins
by
thet
on 27/05/2022, 23:53:47 UTC
Bitcoin is currently trading at a good price and now is a good opportunity to enter the world of Bitcoin. If you've not bought bitcoins yet, this might be your best opportunity this year.
Bitcoin is currently trading at $ 34,493 and the bear market is coming to an end. Also, another good thing that will definitely affect the price of bitcoin is halving.
Big investors! One of the main reasons why the price of Bitcoin does not fall much is the presence of large investors. These investors do not allow the Bitcoin price sink lower.

Buying some bitcoin is a good choice but is this the right time to buy or not? I am afraid that bitcoin will go down more. So I am still waiting when is the lowest price of BTC is.

Re: 🪄✨Crypto is rising
by
thet
on 27/05/2022, 23:50:33 UTC
🧨Crypto took a hard hit early May. Bitcoin, the largest cryptocurrency, fell to around $29000 from its all time high of of almost $70000. Other cryptocurrencies fell too and people started to wonder whether this fall would be permanent, but will crypto rise again?

🔮It’s likely, but it won’t be a walk in the park. Shortly after the collapse, the majority of cryptocurrencies began to rise in price. Bitcoin started trading around the $30000 mark but remained largely below that for the time following the initial revival. Since then it’s been a roller coaster ride for cryptocurrencies and they are yet to reach levels near where they were before the crash.

🚀Right now, the bull market rages on. Cryptocurrencies are still experiencing ups and downs while remaining largely around the same price they’d reached after the collapse. However, sentiments on the market are largely positive, with many experts and investors optimistic that major cryptocurrencies will reach new highs just not very soon.

May bitcoin and altcoin price finally go back to its price and finally rise.

As of now, I am still hoping that the price will go back atleast this year. I am a little bit tired since my trading is not getting better as time goes by.

Re: What's preventing bitcoin from worldwide adoption?
by
thet
on 26/05/2022, 22:36:20 UTC
Bitcoin remains to be adopted by every country in the world for various reasons. Here are my thoughts on why..

1. Government policies: Most government and financial institutions round the world seem not to want bitcoin cause of the financial freedom it gives to its users. They would want to control and tax the flow of finances of individuals and they probably fear the anonymous nature of its transactions. Some policies even go as far as criminalizing its use.

2. Scammers and fraudulent practices: Scammers have found bitcoin as a safe haven cause of its transactions being anonymous. Also, terrorist groups among other sources get funded by bitcoin also cause of its anonymous nature. Fraudulent practices and transactions are made with ease wth the use of bitcoin.

3. Fluctuating value: The value of bitcoin isn't steady as it rises and falls. The uncertainty in the price and value greatly hinders the general adoption worldwide.

4. Awareness: Nearly not enough effort on creating and spreading positive awareness on it as some government and individuals alike is hell bent on spreading negativity around and poisoning the minds of prospective users. People need to be aware and understand what bitcoin is really about and be awake to its uses.

5. Information hoarding: You could get lots of information about anything on the internet including bitcoin. But the internet can be misleading to newbies cause you could get right and wrong and also misleading information on the internet. It puzzles me that people with an in depth knowledge of bitcoin would purposefully hoard and keep information to themselves. You may think people don't hoard information but in reality, people do. It irksome just thinking about it. If people could share information, newbies won't readily fall prey to scammers.

These are my thoughts on what's preventing bitcoin from being adapted worldwide.

Very well said!

That's the reason why Bitcoin is not yet being used in other countries. Bitcoin price is always change, there are also projects that doesn't work well because there are so many scammers then investors are having trust issues in some projects.

Re: Have you saved your bitcoins in multiple wallets?

on 26/05/2022, 22:27:23 UTC
As the saying goes dont keep your eggs in the same basket. So have you saved all of your btc in mutiple wallets\software?

I like to split with electrum air gapped and bitcoin core.

Should i make it 50:50 even though bitcoin core is always online?

The amount is not that much but i am thinking that if i make it to good amount of mbtc, it will be prudent to divide the amount.

Any OGs who can give feedback?

Well, for me, since i doesn't have more savings with me, I prefer to have 1 wallet but if you have plenty of savings and bitcoin with you and you prefer to have more wallet address? Then it is your choice. Whatever makes you comfortable will do.

Re: The bitcoin price drop is an excellent time to buy bitcoins
by
thet
on 26/05/2022, 22:23:45 UTC
The crypto market made massive progress in 2021, but we can see significant swings that have scared many crypto investors in 2022. The price of Bitcoin has dropped below $31,000, and many investors panicked. But don’t run from crypto before you read the article.

Bitcoin’s price dropped
The bitcoin's price decreased below $26,000 for the first time in 16 months, amid a sell-off in cryptocurrencies that erased more than $200 billion from the entire market in a single day. Ethereum, the most well-known altcoin, tanked to as low as $1,704. It’s the first time the token has fallen beneath the $2,000 mark since June 2021.
TerraUSD (UST) is intended to be pegged to the $1 but it sank as low as 12 cents and collapsed in a run as investors panicked and sold off their tokens. The Terra blockchain has since officially halted.
Some crypto investors are fleeing from cryptocurrencies. Many crypto investors think about what they should do to save their money. Potential crypto investors are as scared as experts.
What’s behind the latest bitcoin drop? Are crypto market collapsed?

Don’t panic
First, Bitcoin saw its dropping below $31,000 for the first time since July 2021. Such bitcoin’s price was just over a year ago and it means that you don’t need to pay 10,000 bitcoins for pizza. Bitcoin is still a valuable digital asset.
Second, cryptocurrencies have plunged in tandem with Wall Street, and are almost on par with the tech-centric Nasdaq, as investors fret about the Federal Reserve’s next moves to tame inflation. When the Federal Reserve raises interest rates to combat levels of inflation unseen in the U.S. for forty years, it has the effect of lessening demands for more growth companies, like tech stocks and speculative risk assets like Bitcoin. Cryptocurrencies are a part of the economy.
Third, the volatility of cryptocurrencies makes them attractive for investment and risky at the same time. If you seek shelter, you should invest in low-risk assets such as US Treasury bonds but the profitability of assets is also low. By investing in Bitcoin, many investors expect that the speculative craze hasn't diminished, and they will be able to sell it again for much more than they paid. But recent history should be that such plans, while tempting, are never easy to achieve. . The thrill of speculatively investing is not the best strategy because bitcoin is a long-term asset.
Looking back at every past bitcoin downturn, there is absolutely no need to panic in such a situation.

Should you own bitcoin? Should you invest in bitcoin now?
It doesn't really matter who you are, a first-time crypto investor or an experienced crypto trader. The most important thing is to be prepared for the bear market. You should hold or even increase your position if you're set up because bitcoin is a long-term asset. The price drop is a good time to buy bitcoins and use a buy-and-hold strategy. Volatility is as old as the hills, and it's not going anywhere. Keep your cryptocurrency investments under 5% of your portfolio. If you've done that, don't stress about the swings because they will keep happening. If you want to invest in altcoins, you should create a balanced portfolio.
Anyway, bitcoin down is an opportunity for growth, and you can take this opportunity.

Thanks for this post and for the information about bitcoin and altcoins.

The best time to buy for me is at the lowest point of Bitcoin or altcoins. Everyone is expecting a good change in the price and finally altcoin price will rise again. If it rise, our investment will gain more profits.

Re: How weird is it to borrow money and invest into Bitcoin?
by
thet
on 25/05/2022, 22:46:39 UTC
Bitcoin price is increasing so fast such that some people wish they borrowed and bought bitcoin at 29k some weeks ago

I want to know if it's much risk to borrow and purchase bitcoin like it is to trade bitcoin. However, the market is pumping, and it may seem like a good move if the loan is not for lunch, rent, and family bills which account for our daily needs (That is, my daily needs have been taken care of). Thus, timing is another criterion to discuss. How can someone know the perfect time to pick such a desperate gamble? We win or lose in trading or holding bitcoin but, I presume with the help of experts in this forum who have gone through thick and thins in this market, good guides or rules can be shared for users and newbies in the forum to have a grip on the market and know if borrowing is appropriate. It does sound thoughtless but, borrowing is part of the business. And we must prepare for the best as well.

Thanks, I'm ready to learn.

Even if the price of Bitcoin goes down i will never risk any amount of money that i get from everyone. I prefer to invest from my own savings or money. In that case, even if i fail and my investment din not end  as a profit but losses., I will never ever having a hard time and think of any way on how to pay those amount of money that i borrow from my friends or relatives.

Re: Bounty is taking another direction
by

on 25/05/2022, 22:40:23 UTC
The term 'BOUNTY' refers to as a reward for some specific act, especially one given by an authority or a government. But this definition is taking another dimension because most of the project owner or BMs don't really care enough about bounty hunters reward(s). To participate in bounty now is good as wasting your time. How on earth can someone earn $1-2 for working at least five days each week in a month? Does that sound good to you? This is incredible! Something has to be done about this before bounty turn to scam in it entirety. What's your view, opinion and suggestions on this?

Not all bounty hunters get their reward after joinging and focusing on the job that they need to do. They are having a hard time doing the job and end up receiving nothing.

There are some projects that end up as a scam but as a person who really need some money, you cannot stop what you are doing because there are projects that are also successful.

Todays current situation for Luna all my works just stop and cant belive whats going on with this scenario!!  Lost too much in my life savings!! Now thinking about invest on btc at least there is no chance like 98% dump at least stable coin looking to more risky!!

Bitcoin and altcoin price is not stable so we need to manage our investment and be ready for any losses.  For me altcoin investment can earn more but with a great percentage of loosing unlike with Bitcoin that you only have to invest at a long term and wait for the price to increase because BTC price will definitely rise again.
