Re: KYC and the $5 hammer
by
thin
on 25/07/2019, 17:04:56 UTC
A theme  topic, whatever often talked about on this forum, is the $5 hammer attack.
Many people suggest to keep your bitcoin holdings secret, thus preserving the anonymity of bitcoin to a certain degree.
But then you get sportsbooks asking for photos and passports, and god only knows what else.
If a sportsbook wants all this, I respectly suggest they change to fiat.
Agree with this, because some people use crypto to gamble is to make sure they still anonym, if ask people to do some KYC in crypto gambling site, it will not different with gambling site that use fiat.
Don’t answer for all. See for ex https://99bitcoins.com/best-bitcoin-casino/#Bitstarz report. Best casinos accept wide ways to transfer funds in fiat and crypto, it is regulated, and it is require KYC. If it is proven legit casino the reason to avoid KYC process would be a desire to bypass taxes, if it has to be paid in a particular country. Might be a good reason, but that’s everyone has to decide for himself.

Re: BITCOIN PAY; For everyone, For everything
by

on 25/07/2019, 15:38:18 UTC

Bitcoin PAY implements a new PoW algorithm, Equihash, that makes mining decentralized again.
Common , what is really new in Equihash algorithm? The fact it is not mined by ASICs by now does not make it new. And what is the difference anyway? It just targets different miners, still will be some with a bigger power.

Re: [ANN]CropBytes- TRON Based Virtual Farming Game
by
thin
on 25/07/2019, 11:18:05 UTC
Hey guys, I have been playing this game since it started, and while it still is a work in progress (what game nowadays isnt?) the dev team is outstanding and has made a TON of progress. They have nearly fully functionality on feeding, producing things like eggs and milk, and the ability to sell game assets you produce for actual $. TRX can be exchanged for BTC like anywhere, so you can literally make money on this game. I have. Tens of thousands of TRX. If you like Farmville, idlegames, cryptomining, passive income and stuff like that, check it out.

Do not start any farming game unless you have tons of free time. It could consume hours and there is no win in such a game, you just always  can get something new, new island, new animal, etc. It could run for years if you get addicted.

I'm suffering from the lack of information in this thread. No team, no website, no whitepaper, no roadmap, no links at all.
Formally there is a site, it claims a lot, but gives no details about how they are going to achieve all this. If there is a team of professionals name it, let people verify team is real and can deliver something . agree too low info to go ahead

Re: 🔥[ANN]ELVN - FIRST MESSENGER WHICH REWARDS FOR ACTIVITY!
by

on 25/07/2019, 09:45:35 UTC
I think that we will soon see Telegram rewarding people for using Telegram with their own coins,
so sadly I must say that I dont see any bright future for this project.
Then again, I may be wrong....

I don't see bright future either, but because of other reason. I don't see any big income for a new messenger for at least several years. No income - no sourse to reward users, no reason for them to change platform.

What are the conditions for obtaining EBEA coins? Where can I buy it?

All ETH holders are entitled to completely free EBEA, at a 1:1.
Quite favorable conditions, it turns out that the coins can be obtained for free.

This is very cool, but you need to have a huge amount of ETH on your wallet to earn.

The easiest option is to earn tokens by joining the bounty program.

For me bounty rules kind of strange. Being in telegram gives you 50 tokens, but wearing signature and posting gives you less up to a Senior member. Something wrong in these numbers. Of course one could be in both, but still

But why not simply put it to the site? Also missing team info. Openess to community helps establish trust from the start. In general site seems to be not optimized for mobile - slow loading strange behavior on chrome android.

Might be worth attention, let's see. It is not clear how to read FAQ on the site from mobile at first look - you click on the question, nothing happens, because answer is actually in non visible area below the screen. I've thought it is broken, before found an answer.

The project team proposes to develop a multifunctional crypto chat. In order for it to become popular among users, an extensive marketing program is needed. What partners have the project?
In general I see quite low chances for another chat to succeed. Texochat declares solution for these who banned from telegram or discord. But users don't just need to use telegram, they need to access particular groups, which will stay where it now. So it won't help

Alright believers and non-believers!

First exchange listing is complete. Its time to move this to the next level!

Unnamed.Exchange

More info will come over the next couple of weeks

A single commit to github 5 month ago. Must be a perfect code if nothing needs to be changed for such a time. And exchange is also kind of strange. See it first time and can't find any references to it. How old it is?

Just looked through the recent changes in github and see that readme was updated with important changes, but code is not. Also readme and this announcement now have different info about max supply, block time and number of confirmations. I guess better have it consistent everywhere, also keeping code in sync with info provided.

this is a good, excellent project and attitude, already have an exchange on which you are trading to have information about the course and the opportunity to buy an asset?
How did you come to the conclussion that this is an excellent project? If it less than a week old it needs some time before it can show its best. But few last weeks alts lising value due to bitcoin instability. It is hard time for a new coins

Re: Impossibility of a gambling system (Why methods don't work)
by
thin
on 21/07/2019, 04:50:34 UTC
<.....>
The martingale is probably one of the most known and most popular betting methods of all time.
Well, martingale strategy is usually riskier although it is well known. I had been here in gambling discussion for almost a year looking and searching strategies and ideas but it seems all thought I had found that every house edge of gambling platform never been defeat and can't apply the same method and I think they have different script. Indeed, the fact is gambling is for fun and you can never chase money on it if you are regular gamblers and luck is on you much better.
Marginale system is well known because it is very simple and straightforward. But mathematically it has no sense, if probability to win is 50%. So I agree, don't be mad, play for the entertainment, have fun.

Re: [ANN] New Stabletoken ROKS on the Ethereum network
by
thin
on 19/07/2019, 11:53:53 UTC
How much funds you have for bucked your token? Are this funds is have checked by some financial regulators? Where is your company registered? And how are you going to increase your backed capital?

We will be selling ROKS at 1.01 USD apiece. Each ROKS sold will therefore be automatically backed by at least one USD. The backing is stored with Prime Trust, which is a U.S.-based (and therefore U.S. regulated) entity. We do not promise 1-1 backing however. At some point in time 1-1 backing is not necessary because depending on which use-case ROKS is most used, assets other than USD can be used to back ROKS.
So you are going to sell me a coin backed by 1.00 usd at 1.01 usd price. Great start, but what would be an advantage for me to buy it at this price? It could take many years before new coin gets enough exposure.

Re: KYC and the $5 hammer
by
thin
on 19/07/2019, 04:45:41 UTC
Exactly.  KYC  renders the whole idea of Cryptocurrency ineffective. Most people would rather use their national currencies than use cryptocurrency and still go through KYC.
Betting on physical casinos with physical currency is not even as invasive as cryptocurrency with KYC.
I guess you should use decentralized gambling platforms...they are mostly KYC free.
Just look at this from other side. If gambling platform requires KYC at least in some cases and operates normally, means that enough customers are not afraid to pass verification. Others can chose decentralized platforms

Re: Please stop betting with 1xBET scam! You have been warned.
by
thin
on 19/07/2019, 04:27:01 UTC
hi guys,
hi girls (not many here though),

I am tired of reading so many stories about this bookmaker. Please do not play there.

It is now well known that this bookmaker from Russia does its best to keep the funds of winning players. But because they spend so much money in advertising, they have shit loads of customers “trusting” them … until they get cheated.

On this topic, I am just reporting some threads posted on SBR (SBR is a major betting forum, and also a bookmaker reviewer).

Here are some topics:
https://www.sportsbookreview.com/forum/sportsbooks-industry/3368530-1xbet-blocked-my-account-1742-a.html  the guy will never get his money and winnings back.

In this thread there are at least 5 or 6 people who have been asked to send a letter to confirm their identity. 1Xbet then denied to have received the letter. But just read the thread, it is very sad, a real mafia.
Another topic: https://www.sportsbookreview.com/forum/sportsbooks-industry/3512124-1xbet-scam-do-not-ever-bet-there.html

And maybe the worst story is this customer from Portugal https://www.sportsbookreview.com/forum/sportsbooks-industry/3484144-1xbet-stole-all-money-i-had-my-account.html He had his account locked, 1xbet placed bets (themselves) on his account to lose the money. The next morning he had his account unlocked, only to see that his money was gone. Jawdropping stuff.

Another sad story http://www.gpwa.org/forum/1xbet-scam-warning-231709.html

In French > https://www.clubpoker.net/forum-poker/topic/224413-attention-1xbet-arnaque/

Opinions on Trustpilot > https://www.trustpilot.com/review/1xbet.com (the rating speaks for itself)

And there are probably hundreds of threads in other languages (Spanish, Portuguese, Italian etc.)

Please stop playing at 1xbet, you participate in this scam.

Please share this topic, please share it on Twitter, Facebook, all the forums you know, people have to know. This scam has to stop for good.

Thanks for reading, and please share the most you can.
Altough in general I agree no one should bet on site with such a references, I don't see a reason to open a new topic everytime. Just search bitcointalk for their name and scam and you can find many existing topics claiming the same.

Re: You cannot win in gambling
by
thin
on 19/07/2019, 04:19:47 UTC
Winning in gambling can be experienced by any of the user, but the same won't continue. People never understand this reality and starts to bet continuous without analyzing better, but relying over the luck most of the time. This will never get you winning, but causes frustration when what we believed never strikes the reality.
Lol people understand that they are losing but the problem is the eagerness to win that most turns into greediness.

But I believe that if we can find the real essence of gambling?no one else will turns addicting instead they will use this as unwinding and relieving

Money is involved in gambling so most people see it as a way to earn extra cash. Gambling is a form of entertainment and must be played that way but most people don't see that. Some get addicted because they are desperate to earn.
Those who get addicted are basically ill people, and not just because they desperate to earn, but because they can't control their emotions and need to make a bid, just like an alcoholic needs a drink.

Re: Project News (BIC) Biccoin
by
thin
on 19/07/2019, 04:12:15 UTC
Official information branch Bic coin.
This coin was created on the Waves blockchain at 21000000.
Bic Coin project is an investment. Created for the development of (population) cryptocurrency in the real world. The main goal of the project is to create physical outlets using payments (bonus payments) in cryptocurrency. Profit from physical retail facilities (and service offices) in the amount of 40%, each month is deducted to the capitalization of Bic coin (constantly increasing the capitalization of BIC)

Today, the token is traded on the Waves exchange. Expected listing on a new exchange.
That is one of the most useless announcements I've ever saw.  No timeline, no site, no team provided. Why anyone would be interested in this token, if all the info available fits into couple of lines?
