by

on 07/05/2014, 18:22:06 UTC
Just was on zoomhash.com this morning and it looks like they will be releasing some new scrypt only asics near the end of the month?
(The Wolf ~ 1.26mh, The Lion 13.5mh, and The Dragon 27mh )

Anybody have any more info? The surge of Scrypt ASICs is getting exciting Smiley
Would love to know what kind of chips are under the covers.

Still no trust ratings on the OP.  Without reading for 7 pages, can someone tell me if this thing is legit?  If it is, I will buy some.
If it's up in the air, I'll buy some using escrow.

Check out my ebay and amazon ratings. Also, I think many people have already received an asic from me Smiley

I'm one of those people. I received 11 miners from Zoom. Ordered on Saturday and had them in my hands by the end of the day on Monday. Will leave positive for him right now.

Same.  I ordered 20 on Saturday.  Had them on Tuesday due to USPS being slow - they shipped on Sat.

I just placed an order for one now --- I will update on how my experience goes.

Please do!

To add to the chorus of happy and satisfied Zoom Hash Customers:
I got my unit today!! Smiley Fast Shipping from Zoom Hash - Got here before my power supply did ( which i ordered somewhere else)
Zoom Hash is Legit -will buy again for sure.

Small flat rate box ='s alot of them.  I used to get 6 of the 333mh/s erupters at a time in them with room to spare.
I know these are slightly larger so it will be interesting to see how many fit.

Great.

Why is the payment address have a strike-out line through it?

I am waiting till tomorrow so I can figure out how many miners will fit in each box(flat rate box) so ya know how much to send for shipping

Put me down for whatever fits in a flat rate box (4-6 I am assuming ).

Re: Intro - What do your loved ones/significant others think of crypto?

Quote "Oh, Bitcoin is a real thing?"  after hearing about it on the radio.

So true -- my wife started paying more attention when it was getting more press. The "great voice of a third party" always seems to win Smiley

I knew about bitcoin but never bought one until recently. Most people probably know about it but don't realize buying it is a good investment. They think it will fall in value or will go away if they don't buy in.

I found out early 2013 -- I have been kicking myself every since  because I had a decent amount of Gaming rigs rotting in the basement until i discovered they were worth something Smiley

Great question!

My wife rolled her eyes when I said I wanted to buy some bitcoin. I managed to convince her that I'd read a lot about it and thought it could be a good idea. Anyway, I'm a bit of nerd and liked the idea of getting on board early.

That was back in October, just after the Silk Road bust that caused (yet another) price crash. Within three weeks of buying, the price of bitcoin had gone up four fold.

Needless to say, my wife doesn't think I'm crazy any more.  Grin

Great time to get in and a great time to prove a point/ be vindicated Smiley

Intro - What do your loved ones/significant others think of crypto?

I have been lurking for a bit -- Have a hopefully somewhat interesting question for my fist post:
"What do your loved ones/significant others think of your crypto-currency efforts/dreams?"

Personally most of my friends can dig what I am doing in the depths of my basement mining a variation of BTC,LTC, and XPM,
But my wife has been my strongest opponent to deal with.
She first thought i was insane playing with "fake money" and extremely pissed at the money i spent for mining gear, ( which was a rather insignificant amount ).
She is coming around now but still not where I hoped she would be in terms of supporting my efforts.

Would be interested in hearing how others have dealt with explaining BTC/crypto to loved ones etc.

Re: Is it wise to buy more 38Gh/s Cubes now that their prices have dropped?
by
thm001
on 06/01/2014, 20:31:16 UTC
If I got you correctly, that's $300 per unit? After looking at a lot of new lowish-end units & combined lower-end unit prices, I figured the price is set around $300-$400 for 10Gh's, so that would be a good deal I think

If bismuth is correct - "300-400 USD" is a great price for a cube -- they are tracking 600-700 on ebay now and I can only find .69-.89 in BTC price though the forum and WTCR.

Feel free to clue me on this price Smiley - i might pick up a few to flip on ebay
