Re: Is there any mining hardware for around 100$ that might ROI?

Instead of Hardware, why not cloudmining ( If you can find a legit company ) ?

and 99% are not!

the answer is: how much you pay for electricity?

But with proper research you can invest in that 1%, and go along with it.

As to the Op, even free electricity would probably not lead you to get a ROI, specially when the next year halving happens.

Re: Auction proceeds - 50,000 BTC is a shitload

You appear to have picked a photograph of a bunch of men playing airsoft, look at the helmet on the right.

lol . Also, I wonder why don't all the silk road masterminds, do their business of running the site offshore. 50,000 BTC is definitely a shitload, and I wonder, why does all the money go only to the US government.

Buying BTC with Paypal at preev.com +5% rate
You send first or we can use escrow if you want.
I will send Paypal funds as gift so I wont be able to chargeback.
Atm looking to buy BTC worth of 20$

Already been repeated a millions times . But will do it again. Smiley
Paypal, sending through anyway is prone to being charged back . But since you are looking for only, I think its a safe amount, assuming, you don't do a lot of 20$ trades within the 45 day period.

Re: The end of copyright and patent is where we should be headed

After 3 pages, sorry If I am repeating this. But it is true , that COpyright and patents are a hindrance for growth. I mean, the main aim of the world is to move forward and grow, and using on innovations from other people. If you copyright something, then that basically hinders that growth.
Here is also an interesting video/article: http://www.bloomberg.com/news/videos/b/6888f36d-5487-4bfb-b670-32c581f1d2ce
Can't find the similar article I read.

Re: 50K Silk road coins to be auctioned 5 March.

I just read that the bidders will be paying 30% more than the usual market price. Seems a pretty steepp cost they will have to pay for those coins.
Thats almost 100$ more than the current market price.
If that is correct then there is no reason to worry about price, as the new owner would not sell at current price.
It might be a problem for future, when price goes up, as it have to, because of mining difficulty.
Do you think, that if the bidders are paying 30% more, the price will increase in the next couple of days?

Here is a link which also shows more interest this year ; http://www.coindesk.com/third-usms-bitcoin-auction-bidder-interest/
As for price increasing , its hard to say. One reason price is higher to buy large quantity is to not skyrocket the price while buying that much quantity from the exchanges.

If I were BTER, and if I saw the opportunity to repay all the money, then I would write every day here in the forum on the state of progress.
The public relations, BTER doing now, not trustworthy.
How much time does it need, so that we learn, we have been cheated. A Month? A Year? Three years? The nice thing about us humans, the hope, is also stupid.

Something that what I have seen from every scamming site/scammer, including a trend in altcoins and  sites that offer services is that, first they keep people in the hope they will come back and be repaid. And slowly, with excuses, people start believing that they won't be paid, and let the anger dry out ,,and once that is done, they see "Its gone".

whether to play blackjack using the martingale system is very good?

I tried, but I lost. probably due to lack of large capital
And I think, since blackjack has a higher edge than dice or any other gamble, so its better to play something where edge is lesser, if you intend to martingale.

Not true. Blackjack has a ~0.5% house edge, while dice mostly has 1%.

The reason why not to martingale with blackjack is that on 'average hands' you lose something like 55% and lose 45%. The reason the house edge is so low is that blackjack pays more then 1:1

Yeah, just read about it. Is the house edge much different, if you go for the 8 deck ?

Re: Is the rumor about the latest 50,000 BTC auction true?
by

No, of course not. If the current bidding price is 10% or 20% above the market, why the hell would a sane person bid even more, rather than just buying directly from the market?

2 reasons, First you can't buy 50K straight from the market as the prices will increase by 10% even by buying 5K bitcoins.
And you will have to trust a large amount with a third party while doing so.

Its not bad, but its still a gamble. And I think, since blackjack has a higher edge than dice or any other gamble, so its better to play something where edge is lesser, if you intend to martingale. But in the end, martingale is not a winning strategy in the long run.

As the title says, I'm just wondering what signature campaign would be best for me to join bearing in mind my level. I would like the best paying one available to me, preferably with weekly payout, although not absolutely necessary. Any help greatly appreciated.

Check out btchorse. It was starting 2 weeks best ,and was accepting newbies  as well.

Is it a bad sign that Bitmain's website is down?

https://bitmaintech.com/

Hope another hardware provider didn't go belly-up.

Best thing to do is try again after sometime, I highly doubt they will close without any news.

Re: Is there any RISK FREE way to invest your Bitcoins?
by
thompete
on 06/03/2015, 03:50:40 UTC
Of course there is no risk free way to invest, if there was then everyone would do it and everyone would make money and no one would lose.  Real life doesn't work like that, I don't know why people keep asking this type of question.
Dude there can be if someone professional who is good in trading we can invest in them or some legit site who gives loans to people we can invest in them..Get my point?
No, no there cannot; no one is perfect.

Most of the professionslas, don't trade with others btc, and the ones that do ,most of the times lie about it

Re: Bitcoin Is Safer Compared To Other Digital Payment Platforms
by

I feel the opposite, but everyone is free to their own opinions.
Bitcoin is actually stored on systems on individuals, and not everyone is good with maintaining the security of their systems.
As for diggital payments, like paypal, they are much more safer than bitcoin and can be reversed too.

They always sell for above market price.  Same would happen if you tried to buy 50,000 BTC from an exchange.  The benefit here is you are buying from the US government, so you don't have to worry about trusting some startup company with millions of your dollars.

Yes they do, along with the trust, they won't be driving the price up while buying. But 30% is still a big amount that will be charged extra.
