Re: The legalization of bitcoin.

This is a good idea and more advance way of currency.
Since there are multiple redundant copies of the transactions database, no one can seize bitcoins. The most someone can do is force the user, by other means, to send the the bitcoins to someone else. This means that governments can’t freeze someone’s wealth, and thus users of Bitcoins will have complete freedom to do anything they want with their money. Sending and receiving Bitcoins requires users to keep the Bitcoin client running and connected to other nodes. Essentially, by using bitcoins users will be contributing to the network, and thus sharing the burden of authorizing transactions. Sharing this work greatly reduces transaction costs, and thus makes transaction costs negligible.

Hold and invest Cheesy that's one of the reason people are getting rich with btc.
Become an active Bitcoin investor, understanding what moves the Bitcoin markets allowing you to profit from the volatile conditions that Bitcoin is accustomed to.

As you see, video game addiction is a clinical impulse control disorder. As for the treatment, Treatment for video game addiction is similar to that for other addictions. Counseling and behavior modification are the primary means of treating addicted gamers. Together, individual and family counseling are powerful treatment tools. Some treatment facilities incorporate medication in their programs.

Re: Tell me your predictions about Bitcoin

Demand for Bitcoin as a currency is also likely to continue to grow in 2017, again as China has promised to restrict capital outflows and to devalue its currency in order to protect exporters. Another large economy that has seen increased demand for Bitcoin is India, whose government surprised many by scrapping large-denomination banknotes and causing a panic for cash in the country of more than a billion residents. A rising U.S. dollar has also caused some in emerging markets to seek alternatives to fiat currencies as debt denominated in dollars becomes more expensive to service.

Re: Poll: If god commanded you to murder homosexuals, would you?
by

God will never tell his children to murder one another.
Also, why would you murder someone just because he/she is a homosexual.
Either you are an addict or your brain is just pretty messed up.
People who are homophobic are mentally damage.
They have a phobia on something that doesn't even affect their lives. - except the homosexuals are actually messing up their brains.
They need help.

Re: Where would society be without the internet?
by
thymeow
on 22/06/2017, 08:44:36 UTC
Well of course both has it advantages and disadvantages - internet has become one of the most influential thing that happened to this generation.

Advantages:

1) Information on almost every subject imaginable.
2) Powerful search engines
3) Ability to do research from your home versus research libraries.
4) Information at various levels of study. Everything from scholarly articles to ones directed at children.
5) Message boards where people can discuss ideas on any topic. Ability to get wide range of opinions. People can find others that have a similar interest in whatever they are interested

Disadvantages:

1) There is a lot of wrong information on the internet. Anyone can post anything, and much of it is garbage.
2) There are predators that hang out on the internet waiting to get unsuspecting people in dangerous situations.
3) Some people are getting addicted to the internet and thus causing problems with their interactions of friends and loved ones.
4) Pornography that can get in the hands of young children too easily.
5) Easy to waste a lot of time on the internet. You can start surfing, and then realize far more time has passed than you realized. Internet and television together of added to the more sedentary lifestyles of people which further exacerbates the obesity problem.

Re: Why we should fear a cashless world
by
thymeow
on 22/06/2017, 07:29:42 UTC
Cashless society is actually a good idea thought it has its advantages and disadvantages obviously - one benefit of cashless economy is that it is easier to track the black money and illegal transactions because if cash is used directly for doing transactions than it is not easy to track the transactions as the money does not come into the banking system however in case of digital transactions it is easy to track the transaction as all records are there with the banks which result in more transparent transactions which in turn leads to fall in corruption in the economy of the country. Another advantage of cashless economy is that since all transactions will be done through organized channel that is through banks and financial institutions it results in increase in tax revenue for the government as all cash transactions which were done illegally come into banking system which in turn helps the government in tracking all transactions and levying tax on them which in turn can be used by the government for betterment of economy of the country. Disadvantage of the cashless economy is that although it easy to do digital transactions but at the same time it is very risky as compared to cash related transactions. Hence people having half knowledge of digital payments are exposed to cyber fraud and losing their hard earned money to online scam and hacking of bank accounts and hence it is better to do cash transactions rather than doing digital transactions if one is not fully aware of the online medium of transactions.

Re: Future of the BTC
by
thymeow
on 22/06/2017, 07:06:23 UTC
Well I guess since much of the developed world where payment systems that enable instantaneous person-to-person payment are not available, would love to adopt Bitcoin. The barriers are the regulators and the almost near vacuum of local Bitcoin exchanges. Look at India - no exchange in India. Same can be said of Pakistan, Bangladesh, GCC, Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand (though there are a few players in Thailand who are selling Bitcoins), North Africa, etc. There is a very large population that simply does not have access to buying bitcoins. Since they cannot buy it - they cannot trade with it. This will be changing in the coming months/years.

Re: Do you think billionaires invest in BTC?
by

Winklevoss Twins, known for their legal battle with him, earned $11 million from their investments in Bitcoin.

$11 million that they earned? That's quite a joke considering they have taken a 100,000 BTC position into Bitcoin years ago. Sure, they may have cashed out a decent number of coins, but that $11 million in profits is a tiny and insignificant figure compared to what they are holding. Can you link me to an article that will help explain how this $11 million in profits is set up? It's too low to be just based on their position in Bitcoin....

Yes, sure, here it is:

http://gazettereview.com/2017/05/top-10-richest-bitcoin-millionaire/

I didn't know they've had 100,000 BTC, probably cahsed out most of it earlier, poor poor guys.  Smiley

Also, can you link me to a reliable source about those 100,000 BTC? Because I've found only this https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/4stfw9/for_one_bitcoin_to_be_worth_100000/ where they say about it in a comment with only one point.

So satoshi nakamoto is the richest bitcoiner in the world, well no doubt since he is the founder.
Curious how did he hide his/her identify - whoever this person is, must be hiding somewhere or could be one of the famous people that we know.
